I had such a great experience here. First of all, don't let the area of town sway you, it looks like it's in a sketchy area, but it's truly what's inside that counts. The nail techs are AWESOME and the service I received was truly done with time, care and precision. I was getting a pedicure - my first of the hopefully, spring season - and so I chose the fruit specialty pedicure. It was $45, but with it came a leg scrub and wrap, 10 minute leg & foot massage, back massage and callous scrape on top of the pedicure. TOTALLY worth it. On top of everything, I was there for 30 minutes after the posted closing time and they never once rushed me. Don't go here. So, I went in and I wanted acrylic nails with a fairly simple design. (See photo) The woman I got spoke ZERO English. When she was using the nail tool she actually made me bleed two times because it cut my cuticle skin. And she didn't even say sorry or apologize or anything. I was sitting there saying ow and scared and in pain. She did a very crappy job on my nails. She rushed through the process with very little attention to detail. She didn't understand at all what I was trying to say when I was explaining what I wanted and I actually gave up on half the design (see photo) because she wasn't doing what I asked. After two hours of it, and by the end of it I was so frustrated and upset because I felt like the nails were such a waste and I just wanted to go home. I won't be coming back here ever again. One of the worst nail experiences and I won't be returning there ever again. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews but the service this nail salon provided was just not good. I was a walk in and asked for a regular manicure to which the ladies replied "gel?" And I said no "just regular" as my natural nails are quite healthy and long right now, and received a bit of an attitude in response when told to pick a color but whatever. Wasn't loving the color choices for regular polish ( a lot of it was clearly old) so I decided to get gel, again noticed a change in attitude from the woman who was about to do my nails and received a much more pleasant "follow me." Sat down, in terms of actual time spent prepping the nail all she did was file (I liked my length and didn't want them cut) and there is 0 consistency in the nail shape. There was no trimming of the cuticle or cleaning up the nail beds. I could see parts of my cuticle that had grown out and needed to be cut but she just left them even after me asking her to clean them up. The color options were limited, she showed me only one board to pick off of when they easily had about 100 other colors available. I chose a nice green and as she applied it one of my thumbs was not curing right under the dryer/ light and was getting all wrinkled, she fixed the nail and assumed I had knocked it and kept manipulating my hand away from the sides of the dryer. Low and behold it dried that way again. And she noticed it but didn't fix it. Entire time I was there felt rushed, I spent maybe 30 mins in the chair from start to finish, as soon as she was done she immediately got up and went to work on someone's pedicure. It's now been 3 days and 4 of my nails look like crap. Polish is wrinkled, cracks forming, and cuticles are so overgrow. Would not recommend at all. read more

This place is so accommodating! I called them around 5pm on New Year's Eve and they said to come in 10 mins which worked out perfectly. The place was little packed but they had enough employees working to take care of everyone. My lady didn't really speak much English but nevertheless she was great. I got a pedicure that comes in with 10 min massage and it was just perfect. I love how they use the plastic thing where you put your feet in water. It's good for hygeiene purposes. We came into town ready to get our nails done for a wedding. The man didn't listen to what we wanted and not only rushed us but was rude about it. I asked how long it would last. He just said it would last long..... ok, but how long? I'd like acrylic to change the color. I simply wanted the design. What I was saying is I wanted the design alone and do regular acrylic because I wanted a nude. He said no UV is good and acrylic wasn't. But I want acrylic. I was told , "it's your nails not mine. You don't have to be mean about it..." (which made me almost cry). Eventually I was fuming and just said yes to whatever. I was not mean I was just trying to explain what I wanted. And I was ready to pull up a translation app to help as well. He keep saying no UV is good, but I also don't want to get the most expensive thing because I'm also not the one paying for it or know about it. My mom did as when she paid he stood over her shoulder. She gave 15% but shouldn't have......Ms. Jenny and the ladies were nice don't get me wrong. There was just a language barrier. But that man in the front desk was rude, pushy, and obnoxious. We didn't say anything because we were upset and the ladies were trying so hard to make us feel comfortable. I've been going there for awhile now. Overall they do a good job on both hands and feet. During my last visit this week I noticed and was annoyed when price of Classic pedicure went up $1 AND they now charge and additional $5 to cut your toe nails during the pedicure (which technician did not tell me when she asked me if I wanted my toe nails cut)!!! That's ridiculous...cutting toe nails should be included in the cost of a pedicure. read more

Peter and these girls are the best game in town - and I've been all over Norwalk and New Canaan. They are fairly priced, clean, courteous and professional. They line the pedicure tubs with plastic and have new/fresh instruments for each client. I am seated for service right away with no appointment, and if it's too busy they are honest and tell me to come back instead of telling me it will be 5 minutes and then I wait (and wait and wait) like some other places do. I have moved to NY now and will still be visiting them for my SNS powder dip nails. Once I've had to go back for a repair to a nail and they fixed it promptly, perfectly, and for no additional charge. So happy I discovered them! You'll love them, too! read more

I've had my acrylics removed many times before at other salons and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. The woman working with me shaved down my nails (after the acrylics were removed) so low that they hurt doing simple tasks like washing the dishes. I told her that I'd rather not get them shaved down so much and she looked at me extremely irritated and told me that is how she does it. I asked for a gel manicure/regular pedicure. The pedicure was ok and I think the toe nail polish looks good. But unfortunately the salon does substandard gel manicures. Each of my nails are painted with little care to where the edges of my nails end and where my skin starts. Not only does it look extremely sloppy (like when you paint your nails as a child), but when this is done with gel, your nail polish starts to lift on the sides and peels off as your nails grow out. This is because the edges are painted onto SKIN and not the nail, where it is secure. In fact, it's the next day (less than 24 hours) and my pinky nail polish has already peeled. (see pictures). I am rating this manicure 1 star, because making sure what I described above doesn't happen is table stakes in the manicure business. If you can't get that down, then maybe this isn't your area of expertise. Also, I paid $75 in total for this (not including tip) which is INSANE for how shoddy the gel manicure is. read more

The prices here are great, it's a new spot so I wanted to check it out. I got a gel manicure, a pedicure and foot massage. The foot massage was the highlight, wooo- that was a great massage! The owner ( I think) was very accommodating and attentive however my gel polish started to chip a few days after and a few of my nails didn't polish on the whole nail- the edges were bare. I wasn't impressed with the overall manicure job. I did like the place, it's bright and clean and the main gentleman there was super, super attentive but eh, I get better quality of work in Sono despite the fact that I have to pay for parking there. They have SNS which is a healthy version of gel polish where you don't us the UV light and I've looking for a place that does that however, I don't know if it will look all that great so I'm not sure that I will go back and try that. This place stays open later than my normal spot so in the event of a last minute emergency, this place will do but I'm not switching teams. read more

Words can't explain how annoyed I left this place, I've come a few times before and everything was fine but this time was terrible. I came it and it took me 40 minutes to get attended i was waiting forever. I asked how long it was going to be like 20 minutes in and she said a few minutes. A customer next to me said to me "after me". It was very rude and inconsiderate. After being told that I was going to have to leave because I was going to be late for work, (I was there on my lunch break) they proceed to take another 15 minutes to get the fake nails i had already on my fingers and charge me $10 to take them off. GROSS salon with rusty tools!!! AWFUL and messy manicure! I REGRET stepping foot in this disgusting salon. My eyebrow salon is down the street and I was desperate for a regular manicure. I decided to stop here since the reviews were good for the most part. What a mistake! First of all, the girl did a terrible job removing my SNS manicure. There's still some layers left, which she then sloppily applied nail polish on top. My nails also look uneven. But worst of all... the nail clipper she used was RUSTY! Her tool box was also rusty! I didn't notice until half way through. This place doesn't used sterilized tools in new packages which most salons have now. The whole place looks cheap and messy! There were bags of nail polish bottles randomly thrown on the floor, open drawers with supplies hanging out, gel dryers covered in nail polish, and towels air drying by the front. Seriously, can they not afford a dryer?! I'm terrified I caught something from this dump. Im praying I don't get an infection. Make sure you're up to date with your tetanus shot if you decide to come here. They deserve zero stars! read more
