I've gotten my lash lift done by her twice already and I'm already planning on visiting her for a third time because I find that no one else can do lash lifts as amazing and perfect as her. Not only does the lift last me well over two months, but I also find that my lashes remain healthy and long throughout, unlike a lift I've received elsewhere in the past. Claire also incorporates a hand and arm massage which is very much appreciated considering most esthetician's I've been to have left the room to do other things as I lay on the table with the perming solution on my lashes. Claire makes sure that not a minute of your time is wasted by staying both efficient, and on her feet to insure that you are in complete relaxation mode. I've recommended Claire to multiple friends when they've expressed interest in receiving lash lifts services as I do truly believe that she is the absolute best in Florida. I made an appt for a spa manicure and pedicure. I was seated with a nail technician who became visibly annoyed when I said I was not getting a gel manicure. I was then moved to another technician. I spoke to her about what I was looking for- she convinced me to try an organic gel polish that lasts longer than the regular (at least 3 weeks). It was a very fast service. I was then escorted out to pay without my pedicure. I spent so much money on my manicure that I let it be. And my manicure has already chipped and I'm only on day 6. In general I'm very disappointed because I have heard such wonderful reviews. It may be the type of salon that caters to its regular clientele. I would have become one of them if it was a better experience and my manicure actually lasted the appropriate amount of time. I can get 6 days out of a regular polish.

I live in Brooklyn and have been going to a great guy in Manhattan (Bobby Finton -Hair By Bobby) for some years but didn't feel like going all the way to the East Village from Greenwich. I figured I'd be able to find salons in the Greenwich area that used an organic product. It wasn't easy. Yes, there are places that use L'Oreal ammonia free color but, frankly, that's not clean/green enough for me. Thankfully, I found Peartree's Salon in Darien! They use what is considered one of the, if not the, cleanest hair coloring products available. The staff is very friendly while easy-going and low-key which is something I prefer over a glitzy salon with loud music. I don't get my whole head colored uniformly but, instead, get lowlights. Bobby texted me instructions on how he colors my hair to show the woman at Peartree's. She appreciated that. The woman who colored my hair was knowledgeable, interesting and did a fantastic job! There is no place in the waiting room to escape the noise (and the cluttered, visual display of random merchandise). In the pedicure area, the music was just as loud. I expected a quiet, spa-like experience for my overpriced pedicure and was instead met with a cacophony of noise. Beyond disappointed in this dramatic downfall.

They called me back 15 minutes later and said they would honor the price. The aesthetician wore latex gloves the entire time that were a size too big at her... so the only thing I could smell was latex in the sound of that rubbing up against my face. I'm pretty sure she just used soap and water. I asked for a deep cleansing facial, she "cleansed" my face for no more than 2 minutes, max. She was washing my face, rinsing out the washcloth a bowl of dirty water that she had removed the scrub from. She would leave the room for 5 mins at a time and in the salon, the owner (?) was walking around talking on speakerphone... the least relaxing environment I have ever been in. I paid to have a face mask put on, it would've been a heck of a lot cheaper if I did it at my house. Finally, I went to check out and there was a miscellaneous $10 charge. There was no mention of "additional charges" when I was on the phone yesterday discussing the price. I think my skin looked better when I walked in. Super unhappy, would absolutely not return.
