Literally Jason was a 10/10, as my nails were drying he even gave me a back massage and I haven't been able to find a good nail place near me untill this one. The prices are so good, I paid $65 for dip with extension, Jason was unbelievably precise and even when he's next client came I thought he might start to rush but he still took his time and made sure everything was perfect. You might take note that these awful reviews were years ago. The shop was taken over by new management 2 years ago last weekend. They were obliged to keep the same name, however. The staff is most attentive to the needs of the customer. I have been going there for over a year and could not be happier. The NEW ACE does not do waxing so dismiss all of those awful stories. I would not go anywhere else! And they do the most beautiful cats eye manicures! Please do yourself a favor and try it again. You ill not be disappointed! read more

Service Requested: Very nice. I called and made an appointment. When I arrived there was very little wait. Unfortunately, there was some lack of communication when it came to next steps and that didn't work out. But overall it was pleasant. Vibe: Everyone calls you honey. Looks clean read more

I've been going to ACE since July now after switching from FIJI. My usual is short square gel x manicure and a gel pedicure. The staff is so kind and friendly. Rica does an amazing job on my gel pedis and I could not praise her enough. Alex has done my nails 3/4 times and Cici 1/4 times. Both Alex and Cici are so incredibly talented and I always leave with exactly what I wanted on my nails, even when I request designs that seem difficult to me, their artwork is so amazing. There are phone stands for those of us who like to scroll between hands, and bag hooks on the side of the nail table for purses. The vibe is very luxurious but welcoming. It is quite a small space which makes it feel intimate and exclusive. On weekends, they book very quickly and often have no space for walk ins, so I make sure to book my next appointment before leaving my current one. The prices are on the higher side compared to the previous nail salon I was a regular at, but the quality of my nails as well as the health is so much better, the little extra money is sooo worth it. I recommend this nail spa to literally everyone and anyone who compliments my nails, and many of my coworkers also go here. A must-try spa. read more

The new owner is so good! Takes his time and does not rush. Alex is so talented and it's not too expensive. I get uv gel tips and they last me like 3 weeks! I really hate leaving bad reviews because I know it hurts business, but my experience here was really bad and I feel obligated to let other people know so they don't waste their time and money. I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure and they were done by different people. My gel nails started peeling off after 4 days and they did a sloppy job applying the polish. The lady who did my nails was soooo rough with the filing and cleaning of my cuticles causing me to wince. She didn't even apologize for hurting me either. The polish for my pedicure was also sloppy, took forever and they didn't clean under my toenails which I thought was so odd. I will not come back here again and don't recommend this place. read more

I came here because my usual nail spa was really full. Bad experience all around. When i got there, the nail tech melissa was a little rough with me. When i asked her not to cut down or file my nails, she filed them anyway. I wanted a dark blue, almost blueberry kind of nail color, and the one i picked was a lot lighter than the one i got. When i asked about it, she rudely said (while shaking her head) "Well, thats the color you chose, honey". Not only that, she used the cuticle remover tool to remove a chunk of my skin and draw blood. The lady next to me got matte nails, and i wasnt even offered the same. I didnt know they had matte for gel nails! Then, i made the mistake of getting an eyebrow wax. While melissa was blowing on the wax, it was still too fucking hot and burned my eyelids. Its been three hours and my eyelid still burns. All in all, not coming here again. read more

Called ahead and was told there was plenty of time and space for 2 mani/pedis. Arrived under 5 minutes later to an empty salon. Was seated immediately but that's it. We sat 20 minutes before being tended to. Sat another 20 once done w9th the pedicure and they completely ignored that we were waiting for manicures. We paid for the pedis and left. Already chipping. Wouldn't waste time again read more

They have always done a wonderful job with my nails, and I have been using them since I moved to Stamford in 2008. I have used different pJoba. In the salon to do my nails, and they all have done excellent jobs. Their hours are also very convenient. read more

This was the worst nail experience I've ever had. Got there at 5:30, there was 2 customers in there. Took 30 mins for anyone to help me. Someone started to take off my gel, as customers came in, the employee would help them and leave me just sitting there. Only one employee could do the dip powder, even though they advertise it heavily. Now to get to the nails: I left the salon bleeding on four different fingers and different length nails (as you can see by the pictures) She didn't shape them in ANY way and there was cotton and different colors stuck in my polish. I told her about it, she tried to get it out for 3 seconds, and then told me it wasn't a big deal... I don't typically write reviews but this one HAD to be written. I will definitely not come here again and I suggest no one else does. read more

Hands down the worst gel manicure of my life. I had to ask the nail tech three times not to cut my nails as I like them long and almond shaped-she kept trying to cut them and filed them squared out. The result of the gel after it was complete was not a smooth high polish finish like every other gel manicure I've had-it was lumpy and the tips were ragged. I also called beforehand to ask for pricing and was told a gel manicure was $25 but was charged $26.50 "because of tax" when I know the CT state nail salon tax law and if you pay with cash you do not have to pay tax. They refused to listen. I also heard the woman next to me ask them NOT to cut her extension nails/tips and she was visibly upset when the nail tech did not listen and not only cut them short but filed them so roughly she physically caused pain to this poor woman! Save yourself the trip and try another nail salon. Follow-up, every single nail chipped within 3 days, including one nail which a layer of gel simple "slid off." I've had regular manicures last longer than this. Service was awful and clearly their products are garbage as well. If I could I would leave zero stars. read more

I won't ever come back. Even though their prices are good, their attitude of one of the workers isn't. And he did a crappy job on it. Was rushing the whole time. The paint job itself was horrible. Never again. Seriously don't even come here. Waste of money. And if you do come here don't let the young guy do your nails. He sucks. Horrible experience. read more

They are good nail people just if you want some extravagant nail design come here at your own risk. I mean they do well just some people are better than others,I had this one girl I not gonna name her but she was just ride I couldn't move and I was just annoyed. So in my opinion they are good at nails just I wouldn't come here to get like some extra cool nail design, like they do flowers, and easy stuff but if you want like and a animal on your nail come here at your own risk. read more

So Melissa did my nails and I wasn't happy with it. This is the first time I went because I wanted to try a different place. I read some other comments off this place and I saw that someone said Melissa went too rough on them. Well the same happened with me, she was very rough on me and made me bleed on two fingers. Some lady next to me accidentally made her patient bleed and she grabbed a cue tip and told her she was sorry and tried wiping the blood away. Ok but Melissa didn't do the same, she just looked at my bleeding fingers and ignored it. I wanted my acrylics long and she told me I couldn't do them long because they break faster.. but I told her i didn't care I usually do them long and I wanted them long. She tried arguing with me saying it should be short. Listen, I'm the damn costumer.. do my nails the way I want them and u can get your tip and maybe 5 stars. Overall I told her fine. Another mistake she made was she made my nails rectangle when I asked for coffin.. I don't like them rectangular and half of them curvy. Not coming back read more

My first time at Ace Nails was about 2 weeks ago and my nails looked absolutely terrible. I tried to remove a gel manicure from another salon myself and ended up destroying my nails. I decided to give Ace a try. I got a simple manicure. Annie did a great job removing the color gel from my nails and makining them look presentable. She took extra care to make sure the color was completely remove and that my nails were smooth before starting my new manicure. The salon was very clean. I went towards the end of the day before closing and saw the nightly cleaning regimen which was very meticulous. The prices are decent ($22 for manicure pedicure and $25 for color gel). I will definitely be going here from now on. read more

terrible service. the lady literally stopped doing my gel manicure so that she could do someone's regular mani and PEDI. Then came back to me & finish my gel manicure. Then had the nerve to ask for a tip read more

I went in for the $22 mani pedi and got my eyebrows done as well. The place was ok. My massage chair wasn't working and the guy that did my pedicure wasn't chatty. He did a great job and over a week later my nails still look great. He did try to sell me on the more expensive treatments, but he just asked once and when I said no he dropped it. My manicure wasn't great though. The guy used tools out of his pencil case so they weren't sitting in the sanitizer like I like to see. And by Tuesday (I went on a Sunday) my nails had started to chip. I may just do the gel nails and the pedi from now on. The eyebrow wax was nice, she did a great job, but it was a little weird. While she did my eyebrows one of the guys kind of hovered over her staring at me. Maybe he was learning how to wax, I'm not sure, but it was odd. read more

Love this place! This is my go-to spot for getting my nails done! I've been coming here for the past year or so and book appointments with Yuki, who is awesome! The prices are fair and they don't charge you to fix a nail when you come for a refill, which a lot of other places do.. They also give you a card which you can have filled out every time you come in, and after 7 visits (I think or 8) you get a free 10 minute massage! Recommend calling ahead and scheduling an appointment because sometimes you will have to wait a while.. read more

Melissa did my Brazilian wax and did a fantastic job. The room was private and clean and she was very professional, thorough, and efficient. She used soft wax with strips, which I prefer, because it does a better job. Granted, it is more painful than hard wax, but you want it all gone right!! When she was done waxing she tweezed the little hairs that the wax didn't get, which I also appreciated! The price is right too. It was a full $20 less than what I've been charged at the European Wax Center, and Melissa did a way better job. I'll be returning to her!! read more

I usually go here and get my gel manicure with Grace. She's amazing!!! I've never tried anyone else for my gel manicures. I have had pedicures with a few different people. Worst nail salon I have EVER been to. Sarah did an absolutely horrible job and clearly knew they were terrible, uneven and absolute shit. On top of being incapable of fixing my too narrow, too short nails, all she did was criticize my existing acrylics which were far better than what I left with. I'm furious at myself for going into this garbage establishment because I didn't take the time to go to a more reputable salon. Now I have to pay someone else to fix her mistakes. read more

The were not very nice and did not do a good job on my nails. The woman was way to rough with my cuticles when I told her she laughed and said she is leaving the old polish on. I told her she made one nail too thin, she argued with me and said that thin was more natural. Less than 3 days later the thin nail is broken. She charged me extra to fix the nail then demanded a tip and rudely threw my belongings aside. Not one time did she come check if my nail was dry. I will never go back! read more

Horrible service. Was not happy with the outcome. Quick and not nice. Got gel nails and it looks absolutely horrible

Very disappointed in the way Grace treated me. Don't get me wrong the salon is very nice and so are the workers, but I told her I wanted normal nail polish with a matte finish. She kept pushing gel "Only $10 more! Last longer!" and I kindly kept denying her. Soon my hand was being pushed into a UV light dryer and I was confused because I had specifically denied gel three times prior. My bill comes and I'm charged $53 for something I did not want, plus my nails are not filed down into the coffin shape I had asked for. Grace, I understand you want to make more money off each customer but this is not the correct way to do it. I hope you will not act this way again with someone else. read more
