Well, when it comes to nails, I have found my own holy grail of manicures, waxing and eyelash extensions. Hands down best salon I've been to in years. I have been going to this place for 2 years and they continue to do top quality services. I have gone six weeks hiking in the deep woods with nary a chip! The atmosphere is very warm and pleasant. Have been on the hunt for a nail place in CT and tried this one out. I went for a gel pedi and UV Gel mani with Shirley. She was so cute and nice and did a great job. She kept asking if I liked the color, shape, length etc each time to make sure I was satisfied. She shaped them perfectly too and moved quick without rushing. My only thing I will mention is that they request cash tips which I didn't know since it was my first time (my previous nail place I always tipped on my card). Thank GOSH I had some cash on me but I was so embarrassed because it was $4 short of what I wanted to give her and she was so nice about it and didn't make me feel bad. I gave an extra star because the place was clean and they line the foot bath with plastic wrap. Also use real towels for pedicure instead of paper towels which is nice. I can only speak for the male manicurist since I only went once so the women may very well be excellent. But don't go to him specifically. The polish was very messy and he kept getting it on my skin. He used his long and dirty fingernail to get it off. When painting my toes he rested said fingernail on my toe and it actually hurt a bit. Pretty gross. read more

I had a pedicure done by a young lady who had no clue what to do, no clue how to use a brush or anything. She does not even know how to paint nails properly It cost me $60 and she hounded me for a tip. I couldn't put the tip on my card and was shown the ATM machine to get money for a tip that she seriously did not deserve. Basic, skilled Technicians. They all speak in another language while you're sitting there and it's kind of confusing. It seemed clean. It is a quiet oasis with not a lot of foot traffic like the other places nearby. So it's very peaceful. If you're looking for a place to get in quickly as a walk-in I would suggest it. read more

I have been going to top nails since fall 2016. I really do enjoy their service. The first time I went in was close to their closing time. I had a desperate need to fix my broken nails (my own). They introduced me to the powder nail which saved my nails! They use powder to overlay on your own nails to make they longer. I love the color they suggested to me which is a clear pink with some sparkles. They made them long and beautiful, so feminine and flattering. I got so many compliments on them! Beginning of this year, I decided to have eyelash extensions done. I went to a 4 stars place in the NYC but I did not like how they looked. So I decided to get them retouched by top nails since they do eyelashes extensions too. I loooovvve how my eyelashes look!!! Compliments, compliments, so many compliments. I never goes to a nail spa religiously until I went to top nails. They are friendly, have free back rub while you have your nail done, offer me water, tea, cookies, the price is reasonable, the most important they do a good job and it is consistent. I have been going there once two weeks since the first day. Oh! And they have an regular customer VIP card which you can add up points for each visit to get free services. I'm so bummed. I really liked this nail salon and came away feeling like I had found my new place. Sadly, I didn't. Manicures don't last terribly long on me so I always upgrade to the "2 week" polish knowing I'll get at least 3-5 days out of them. This time, they didn't last more than 15 hours before 3-4 of my nails were chipping. I was the last appointment of the night and by lunchtime, my nails looked like they were over a week old and I had several red nicks around my cuticles... I was bummed but wasn't going to post a negative review based on my manicure...until I got out of the shower this AM and looked at my feet. Moving on to the pedicure, I had the lavender spa pedicure and it was lovely...until 4 days later and 3 of my toenails are already chipped. Pedicures usually last a SOLID 3 weeks on me. I was willing to say the issue was just with the fingernails but when the toes had the same effect. I had to post this review. 4.5 stars for the awesome pedicure while there but sadly, $115 in for a spa pedicure, basic manicure + upgraded polish and gratuity is just too much for the shoddy results. I really wanted to like them, when I first came in, they were really welcoming and very attentive. The service was great. I had gotten the powder gel mani on my hands and a regular pedi. I wanted to try the powder gel since it is better for you then the UV gel and last longer than the regular polish - typically polish does not last very long for me (2 days for regular and 4 days for gel). Leaving the salon, I was pretty happy, however, within 2.5 days my nails were cracking and starting to peel on the sides. And not even a full week in, even my toes are starting to chip. :( read more

I constantly buy gift certificates to give to people and they all love going there because the staff is so friendly. My experience here was average. Their custom service was exceptional but their work wasn't. I went to get a gel manicure ($30) and a regular pedicure ($25). My pedicure was horrible my nails were cut crocked and my nails weren't painted correctly or evenly, it looks like he just splat pained and quickly brushed it through I asked if they could please fix it but it was just as horrible as before. As for my gel manicure it was OK, however one of my nails had a little fuzz that created bubbles and again they weren't fully painted. I will not be returning here. Also my cousin got a gel Tip extensions, her nails were not cut evenly even though she told her nail tech many times to please fix it. read more

**UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT** I got my lashes done here 2 weeks ago and wanted to wait a couple weeks before posting a review. I was and still am 10000% happy with them. The technician was very kind and sweet and took her time and explained that she was not going to apply too many so my own lashes would remain healthy. I've had very little lash loss in the last 2 weeks and they still look amazing. A full set with tax and tip was less than $100 (about half of what i used to pay!). I got a great gel manicure there two weeks ago - it still looks perfect!! Pro's - the price is right: $29 for gel mani. They are quiet in the evening so you can get in and out quickly. I came here with a bridal party in prep for a wedding the next day. Understandably, the staff was a little overwhelmed to see 4 ladies walk in at the same time requesting manis and pedis. Two of us were seated right away to get our nails done and two other were seated to get their pedicures. The service was okay. It was rushed and mediocre. I understand when there are customers that you need to attend to, but quality should not be sacrificed just to avoid losing a buck. There was also chatter among two of the technicians in their native language that was obvious directed to my group. It made the whole experience very uncomfortable.
