I'd first like to start off by saying that I am a big fan of Coco nails. The first time I had went was a week ago, and I enjoyed my time there tremendously. Someone had given me a gift certificate so I went in with high expectations- they had met it in every way. When I had walked into the store, it was busy, yes, but they paid attention to me and kept me satisfied while I waited. The woman in the waiting area was kind and helpful. I got a manicure and pedicure and despite going ago, my nails have not chipped and they're just as nice as they were when I first got one. What is important to mention is that there was construction going on during the time I was there, however the place was still clean and nothing seemed wrong. I look forward to returning to this salon in a few weeks and coming back as a regular customer. read more

Sandra, the manager, called me yesterday and was as appalled as I was with what happened and was genuinely upset at how I was treated during my service. She listened intently to what happened, was kind and understanding, and promised she would make sure no one working there would do this again in the future. I also went in to see her today to explain in person with no expectation I would get a refund, just to give her more insight into what happened. Living in Riverside for 8 years I have visited this nail salon several times. I have never had a good experience. Its overpriced and snobby. This last time was my final attempt. I went into the salon at 6:45 pm the day before Christmas. They turned me away. I wanted a plain manicure ,10 minutes. The woman at the desk told me they close in 15 minutes. Given the circumstances of Christmas and Covid its bad business to turn away a customer. You would think after business has been so bad due to covid they would appreciate their customers. Stopped in because I was in the 'strip mall' and desperately needed a new Shellac mani - not only was it quick and clean (I have zero patience) but the facial/waxing rooms are wonderful and surprising given that this place is in a 'strip mall'. Breaking stereotypes all around! Katie was great and efficient and my nails haven't looked this good since I lived in Chicago. I felt awful for cheating on my regular spot but then I remembered all the time I saved and some of the guilt went away. The receptionist was rude as soon as I walked in. I didn't know that it was "better" to make an appointment as she put it. Whenever business opened back up in the midst of the pandemic everyone was so friendly and practically begging for business. Some are still friendly and nice to customers. I came to Coco Nail Spa to get a SNS (dip) manicure while staying with my friend in CT for a long weekend. Manicure took almost two hours, and it didn't even last a full 5 days. For reference, dip has never lasted me less than two weeks, and it usually lasts closer to three. I went to get my nails redone at my regular spa, and my tech was blown away by how horrible of an job they had done. He showed me where they had filed CHUNKS out of my real nail with the electric buffer. I would highly suggest going elsewhere for a SNS manicure. read more

I have been to coco nails many times before without a problem, but after $50+ and tip, I am disappointed with the service. I noticed the manicure and pedicure were both very rushed. I have been going to coco since it opened and always got nail services, and loved them. Recently one of the girls convinced me to get my lashes lifted so I did and wasn't very happy with the results (it didn't look like anything was done.) I went back a few weeks later for my eyebrows and I spoke with the woman Stella who was doing my brows and explained my lash situations. She convinced me to let her do the lift - best decision ever. Beware- they lie, they are fast and sloppy and don't own up to their mistakes. Update : this is the first time ever I have broken a nail with powder. It took 6 days and I was not doing anything. I went today to get a powder manicure. The girl at the desk asked me to wait 30 mins for Lisa who was an "expert" at powder. I waited and when I sat down Lisa was working on my nails but obviously pissed. I come to piece together the deskgirl did not tell her she had to remove powder before. The deskgirl said that someone else would finish (why did I wait 30 mins for an expert to the. Be transferred to someone else). The experience went down from there. The new woman worked quickly, burning my nails with the electric buffer and also knocking and cracking my nail. When she used a file she caught my cuticle and made me bleed. I selected color #23 a light pink and similar shade I always get but the color came out Barbie pink. When I asked how the color is so off she said the sample on the book was ombré (if it is, it is the only one out of 50 colors). Most expensive, worst quality gel manicure I've ever had. The 2 stars are for the appearance and cleanliness alone. I came in for a powder gel, chose a color and was seated. Then I was moved to another seat across the salon. Then told it would be 20 minutes before I would be seen. So I asked if I did a regular gel someone could help me sooner - there were at least 6 employees kot with customers. The gel service was average. The manicurist seemed annoyed when I asked for a 3rd coat (it was a light color). The customers on either side of me were asked if they had a rewards card, I was not asked. After I paid $37(!!!!!), the manicurist must have seen my below average tip as she immediately turned cold and made a face. Less than one week later, most of my nails are chipping and peeling. Pretty disappointed today and I've been going to Coco for years. This place used to be a really quiet nail salon but something's changed. Today I experienced constant chatter, talking across salon, a client that ate a full meal while getting a pedicure and the employees chatting during pedicures. Maybe everyone doesn't expect the same, but my me time getting a pedicure is my time to relax and de-stress and today that was impossible Now, all was not lost, my spa pedicure was good, salon is clean and the technician did a great job - would have been great if the background noise wasn't such an issue - Also at end of pedicure I had a 10 minute chair massage that was awful ~ was wishing the 10 minutes were over from minute one . I am at Coco nails every two weeks for UV gel, waxings and pedicures and I am 100% satisfied with the job done, the experience and customer service. I have gotten facials as well and also have been happy with the results. The products used are "quality," up to date with what's on the market and long lasting. I have uncovered from other salons in the past how they water down their products or use cheap brands so This is a extremely important to me. The prices are fair for the services rendered (take advantage of one of their special pedicures and receive a 10 min back massage at no additional charge. ) As long as I live in the old Greenwich area I will be a customer at CoCo nails!! read more

I love this nail spa. It is so nice and spacious! The service is great and you can usually get an appointment if you walk in. They do bridal parties and other parties, including fun gift bags! They also treat you to a very awesome neck massage as your nails are drying. Their waxing services are great too, however a little more expensive than other places I have been too. Also the mani/pedi is a tad expensive as well, but well worth it in my opinion (about 36 for both). There is a $20 minimum for credit cards so make sure you have cash if you are just getting a manicure! Love this place! read more

Worst experience ever... If you want to pay a premium for a rush job, and only one foot getting it's cuticles cut, and a wimpy leg massage then come to Coco nails. The decor is the only great thing about this place...it's beautiful...but very misleading to the type of service that you can expect to find here. I came in for a pedicure, and told the girl that she forgot to cut the cuticles on one foot and she looked at me as though I had 10 heads...pretended not to understand and continued on. I got skipped over for the back massage even though I sat through multiple drying cycles. What a waste...I won't be back!! After moving and looking all over NJ, NYC and CT, I finally found Coco Nails a few years ago. They do a GREAT job on UV gels and on regular mani-pedis too... the decor is great and it's very clean. Sarah, the manager, knows all the regulars by name (and by voice on the phone!). Hard for me to believe the poor reviews written because I am extraordinarily particular and often disappointed in nail salons (note the travel all over the tri-state area)! I've tried some very high-end super-expensive salons and have not been any happier. The staff is friendly, the place it very clean and the location is really easy to get to off I95. Have been coming here for almost a year now. About 1x per month, little more in the summer. I get the basic mani/pedi for $35 and tip well (really well when they do a good job.) I also tip the neck massage staff that comes around when ur nails are drying. The place is big, good selection of color, brands, clean, comfortable, but often a 10-15 min wait. Not good if your in a hurry. The service is inconsistent. Got the wimpiest massage today and I'm looking at my nails now, and shaking my head. A few months ago, I would have given them 3-stars, the 1x is to reflect my visits since late fall. Disappointing since I thought that I finally found a place in CT so that I wouldn't have to go back to the city for these services. it's location is convenient, but I guess it's time to start looking for a new place. read more

So I received a gift certificate here and went back... and I'm glad I did. I ended up going with the honeymoon spa pedicure and a regular manicure. While the nail tech who did my pedicure didn't have any strength to her hands, the woman who did the 10 min chair massage that was included was wonderful. And, my nails look clean and neatly polished so it was worth the $45. If I could get someone with stronger hands, I'd be on cloud 9. As for the manicure, it was no frills BUT, my nails didn't chip for 4 days. That's *unheard* of for me. Usually, by day 2 they're starting to chip and peel. I'm glad I gave it another shot. This place is genuinely the best, I've had my nails done everywhere and this place is by far the cleanest, most efficient, friendliest, and most professional salon I've been to. Their pricing is so reasonable, which I feel like is quite rare these days, but it always makes me happy to tip them well! The actual salon is very pretty, spacious and clean. I have been very disappointed with the service at Coco Nail Spa in Riverside. I am a steadfast Coco customer and my daughters and i and other family members have patronized Coco from the time they opened their doors. I've purchased countless gift certificates for teachers, birthdays, events, etc.. They rush through treatments and they aren't courteous. On a few occasions i have informed the staff ( when i arrived) that i wanted to use my Coco points (loyalty program) and they quickly rush through the transaction without providing the discount / cash on the loyalty card and assured me "they'll apply it the next time". Lastly, the straw that broke the camels back was two weeks ago i had a "honeymoon spa pedicure" and left my shoes at Coco. When i returned they claimed they saw my shoes and could no longer find them. I stopped back another time and again no luck. They didn't offer to cover the cost of my shoes, or offer a gift certificate. In my opinion, they should offer something. I am done with Coco and my family and friends will not return. read more
