I'd first like to start off by saying that I am a big fan of Coco nails. The first time I had went was a week ago, and I enjoyed my time there tremendously. Someone had given me a gift certificate so I went in with high expectations- they had met it in every way. When I had walked into the store, it was busy, yes, but they paid attention to me and kept me satisfied while I waited. The woman in the waiting area was kind and helpful. I got a manicure and pedicure and despite going ago, my nails have not chipped and they're just as nice as they were when I first got one. What is important to mention is that there was construction going on during the time I was there, however the place was still clean and nothing seemed wrong. I look forward to returning to this salon in a few weeks and coming back as a regular customer. read more

I use to go to Beautiful Nails but this is so much better. Clean, friendly with a decent selections of polishes. The tools are sanitized and in individual packages. I am not germ-phobic but I don't like a dirty nail salon or want any infections. I love their pedicures (spa can be expensive but so worth it). Their waxing services are great. do NOT get waxed here!!!!! At least not a bikini or a brazilian! I got a brazilian wax here about a week and not only did they leave many many hairs they didn't even do the full brazilian (I mean the back and everything they just completely ignored it). I also have a bruise - that's right an actual bruise on my bikini line from the aggressive waxing that did NOT even take off all my hairs. The lady that waxed me also told me that the people in her country aren't hairy which made me uncomfortable as she was commenting on how hairy I was. Come here for a manicure or a pedicure but DO NOT GET WAXED HERE. They also charged me 65 which turned out to actually be 75 when I added tip. When I called and checked their website they said brazilians are 50$ so I don't know what happened. read more

Never going back again. For how expensive it is, I was disappointed with the quality of the service. This is what I observed while I was there: if you look like you have a lot of money (e.g. wearing upscale clothes, carrying a designer handbag, etc), *only then* will you get friendly service. If not, forget about it - you are just a regular old customer. I was very aware of this based on how different people were treated by the employees. I would not go back nor recommend it to anyone. There are better places in town that have a much nicer staff and where you feel like you are receiving the "VIP treatment," regardless of your appearance. Also, the manicure was not even that good. This place is deceptively bad. It appears quite nice when you go in, but once you get plopped into a chair, you're in for a not-so-pleasant experience. Ok. A horrible one. It's expensive, for one, especially for the quality of work, and secondly, the staff there look unhappy, harried and completely uninvested in their work. The "technician" that worked on me looked absolutely angry and miserable and she was so rough on my feet that I cried out once and pulled my foot away, at which time she just grabbed my ankle, threw it back down on the slab and then quickly brushed some polish on my toes and sent me on my way. Literally horrible. They rushed my pedicure and are extremely against paying tip on the card, even when I explained how I didn't have a debit card with me. I was excited to try Coco after reading the reviews (just noticed the last one was in March), but $26.50 for a surly technician who didn't really do anything but a glorified polish change and rub some lotion on my legs is ludicrous. She was not only rude, but rough -- really, you're filing my nail, not sanding a table. Front desk service is terrible. I walked in for an appointment and was rudely told that I should call, despite being a regular customer every week and never being told to call. The following week I called to make an appointment and was told that they were not taking appointments and I should come in. I then went to the salon and asked if I would come back in 40 minutes. The women who work at the front desk are not only rude to customers, but also the staff, not to mention that they really don't understand what's going on. Prior to my most recent experience, I came in for an appointment at 7, when the salon closed as 7:30. Not only did the technician rush my manicure but I was asked to leave at 7:25. On my way to my car, there was a loaded white van that sped away with everyone from the salon before it was even 7:30. Service is hit or miss. Some nail technicians are great, others not so much. Looking around the salon, the nail polish could use to be updated, fewer colors and actually keep them in decent condition instead of sloppily arranged. Additionally, I've never seen the technicians so much as sanitized a nail station after completing a manicure. While they always wipe down the pedicure stations, it's always with an unidentified bottle. Further, there is an old bottle of sanitizer that is reused as a container for moisturizer. Things just don't seem as clean as they should be. read more

Really nice place, and a lot bigger than I expected given the strip-mall location. Decent selection of OPI and Esse polish. Also very sanitary, which is a big thing for me -- the metal tools had been sanitized and came out of packages before they were used. Went here with a girlfriend for a relaxing 'girls morning'. Standard manicure experience, the technician I had was charming and friendly. It's a $12 manicure. Manage your expectations, I thought it was well worth the money, my nails look great. There was also a great selection of colors so if you wanted to be funky or go for a classic color you had choices. However, what I highly recommend going here for is the massage. They appear to have a employees staffed specifically for massage, both men in this case. We both had much needed 15 minute chair massages. I couldn't be more disappointed. I've never loved Coco but since they are so close to me and they've been open really late I got my nails done there the last couple of times. Never felt that super amazing feeling after but it was ok enough. I went there tonight with my daughter(10)for our "date". Noticed there where 2 ladies ahead of us so I asked to make sure that if we wait we will have our nails done. Very nice lady assured us that it will happen in 10 min. After 15 3 other ladies showed up and said that they have an appointment. So the super nice lady came to us all puzzled and confused and we finally settled on my daughter just getting her nails done. When we sat down lady came up to me and said that she will do my pedi only which I agreed to it. I noticed that she was rushing(bc of the other ladies waiting) but I was grateful and happy that I'm getting my nails painted. My happiness didn't last long after I saw what a half ass job she did. I had a dark nail polish before and you can totally see it picking through. She didn't clean up the skin around the nails. My toes look so bad like I never got the pedicure. My daughter wanted Matt top coat - never got it. Rushed the whole service. And paid 72 for 2 horrible pedis and one mani + tip( I had to tip bc it's just not me to not tip) The 3 ladies that had appointment after loooong wait decided to do there own nails Love it! I came here around midday two weeks ago for manicure/pedicures and a massage. Then, last week, I came here again for a massage. As far as service goes, this place is amazing! The two masseuses (Bruce and Alex) were incredibly nice and they did an amazing job helping me feel much more relaxed, during and after my massage. Young, the lady who did my nails, was so pleasant to talk to and she did such a thorough job of cleaning my nails and my cuticles and she gave me such a nice design! Terrible experience. Two women in front of me walked out due to the wait after having appointments. I had several people assisting me with timers going off, watching the clock and rushing to complete my manicure and pedicure. It was not at all relaxing. The person doing my manicure became upset when I stopped her and requested clean clippers. Several of the staff members were also rude. The man who appeared to be the manager, gave the woman after me a gift certificate and asked her to come back another day. I went to this place a few times and had enough, spa pedicure not good, too fast, they scrubbing heels 1 minute each, and skin after as hard as it was before. foot massage is make believe, most rubbing and have no relief. Today I went with my daughter and they start to do pedicure for us at the same time, my pedi was done in 15 minutes, my nail "professional" won, probably she was beating previous record. Regarding chair massage, there are men who makes a good massage, but I receive massage from some women, it was the worse massage I ever had, waste of my money. You know when someone lightly rubbing your back, so mine was even lighter, it was like I feel her hands were over my skin but very very light touchings, I asked couple times to make it harder but may be language barrier no reaction. I went for a pedicure. I have large calves and ankles and am self-conscious of this fact to begin with. The woman doing my pedicure said something in Korean to the pedicurist next to her while nodding towards my legs. The other woman looked over at my calves. It was obvious they were speaking about me. Nice and large salon. Pricey but since the customers are not sitting on top of one another, it's worth it. My reason for 2 stars is I got a French gel manicure and the next morning the white polish on my tips were brown. After getting my nails done, I went out to eat and went to bed. I didn't handle food nor do I smoke. I contributed it to bad gel polish used by the salon. I told the manager and she claimed that this has never happened before to any of their customers. About a month later, I decided to get another gel French manicure at this same salon. Two days later, my white tips are brown and yellow. At $45 a pop this is unacceptable. I've been to other local salons and got the same gel French manicure and never has this happened before. Coco is using cheap or old product on their customers. For me time is just as valuable as money and it is not worth it for me to revisit the salon ever again. read more

Rachel the receptionist always greets me like an old friend and Katie who does my nails consistently does a fantastic job of my UV French manicure. I am always happy to see her and enjoy visiting with her as she does my nails. The spa is beautifully appointed with relaxing and elegant decor. I will never go back! I got a gift certificate and I went yesterday to get a pedicure and manicure. My toes are not feeling good! The nail polish is not put on good at all. There are streaks in the toe nails. The nails were not cut very well. For my finger nails I had to tell her what to do. I should have not left a tip, but I did. My nails were not cleaned very well either under the nail. Gloss nails on High Ridge in Stamford does a much better job and will only use them when I need to do my nails again. She did not even come over to see if my nails were done and I had to get some one else to help me. You do not want to waste your money here. read more

I go to Coco every week for at least a manicure, though I often add a pedicure and have also gotten waxing, facials, and eyelash extensions done there, too, and I have been satisfied with everything so far. Coco is exceptionally clean (even their floors gleam!) and everyone who works there always greets me with a smile and hello, even if they're not the one performing my service. I've tried most other local places, and Coco does the best mani/pedis by far. This is my little oasis--I sit back, relax, get some reading done or veg out while beautifying.
