This salon stands out compared to others I've tried in the Stamford and Darien area. While the prices are a bit high, the quality makes it completely worth it. They also offer a free rewards card, which lets you earn a free service after a few visits, which is a really nice bonus! I really used to love this place, a quiet respite for an elevated experience. Not any longer. When…read moreI opened the door to the spa, I was overwhelmed with obnoxiously loud 'soothing' spa music. The couch has been removed to make place for merchandise. instead, they offer 2 chairs which are postioned in front of and to the side of the speaker pumping out the obnoxiously loud 'soothing' spa music. There is no place in the waiting room to escape the noise (and the cluttered, visual display of random merchandise). In the pedicure area, the music was just as loud. I expected a quiet, spa-like experience for my overpriced pedicure and was instead met with a cacophony of noise. Beyond disappointed in this dramatic downfall.

The technician Yuna was very professional and very skilled as I have some physical limitations and she was excellent and accommodating and did not make me feel awkward when helping me in and out. The other staff were also very attentive. The environment was inviting and clean. I went at closing so quiet was a given. I was very happy with the service from Yuna. I was in an out in 17 minutes. My one comment; because I have physical limitations, sensation and touch issues of the feet, legs and hands, as well as allergies to polish, I cannot enjoy the benefits of a relaxing pedicure and never a manicure. I would like the proprietor to consider a no polish, no message a step down from the price of a standard pedicure and charge maybe $10 to $8 less for the time not spent and the product no used. However, I will go back, during a normal busy time to see if the professionalism, skilled technique and attentiveness remain. I will recommend this establishment if anyone asks me. Thank you for the last minute accommodation, it was a change of pace to be treated as normal.

Came in at noon on a not busy Sunday. They didn't tell me there was a wait for a pedicure and walked me to the chair. Five, ten, fifteen and then twenty minutes goes by (meanwhile my feet are puckered like raisins in the tepid water) and finally a woman comes to do my nails. Right away, I could tell she hated her life. She asked me if I wanted the spa pedicure, and when I said no, that was it. She was done with me. She proceeded to beat my feet up. The filing was abusive, the way she kept shoving my feet up and down was abusive, and her scrubbing was just short of torture. I winced in pain the entire time and continued to pull my foot away from her whenever she hurt me. Other customers were just staring in shock. She never spoke to me, never bothered to make eye contact, kept wiping her nose on her sleeve and it was over in about 8 minutes. My feet are still raw and red. If you are in the service industry, I would think you would at least try not to injure your customers. I am not exaggerating for the web, she was brutal.
