I went to Angel Tip for a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure went smoothly with no issues. For my manicure, I requested French tips. Once I stepped outside, I noticed my nails looked cloudy, the lines weren't clean, and one even had what looked like a hair trapped underneath. I went back in to voice my concerns, but it took a while for the technician to acknowledge what I was pointing out. When she finally did, she took me to her table and began filing so aggressively that she slit my skin. At that point, I got up and left. Overall, I left disappointed and frustrated. This used to be a decent, okayish place for basic mani/pedi. The service has really declined. The nail tech was too rough, cutting skin and pouring nail polish remover, with no remorse and no apology. But the worst part was them scamming me out of my money. They brought incorrect change and expected me to pay tip out of it. So they tipped themselves and then brought me incorrect change and expected me to tip them out of it as well. I asked for a lash lift here. I had got one done here before an while back and it was great! On Thursday March 29 it was the worst experience ever. As soon as she started doing it I told her my eyes burn..she said "burning". I say yes I think you got some of the chemicals in my eyes. Then when she finally comes back I am IN PAIN, she's like "really hurt" I am like yes it really hurts I think something wrong. She still doesn't care adds another solution goes to leave again. She takes it off I can barely see everything is cloudy, she doesn't apologize and as she walking me out of the room she yelling to her co-workers basically making fun of me. I got home the skin of my eye lids is bright red and like 4 eye lashes or lifted the rest are curled back in looks ridiculous. I told her DURING her work that I was not liking how my nails came out and they were so UNEVEN!! She said she still had to file and buff them. I gave her the benefit of the doubt (I've been getting my nails done for 10+ yrs consistently babe I know the process) but after she finished buffing I had to say something. She did not fix it. I was still respectful and appreciative but when she told me it was going to be $80... I said 'this is $80? no way.' I gave her my card anyway and she asked for tip. Now, I always tip and my minimum is $15 regardless of mistakes or not. I said "No tip." She asked me again and I said, 'no thank you'. She threw my card on the counter for some reason and that was it. I'm heading back tomorrow to speak to the manager, Lily, to see about a refund 'cause girl... just look at the pictures. I came to Angel Tips for the first time last summer for my trip they did a great job on my feet so i wanted to try them for my nails. Although it was just a refill. I do not like the way June does nails my left hand is different from my right in size and length. One of the ladies who did my pedicure recently kept burning my skin with the drill filer. It was 7:18 when June was done with my nails and ready to paint when asked what color i want i said i wanted a French to go with my toes, June sucked her teeth and did a poor rushed job. I knew everyone was trying to leave so i just said forget it. Then this tips situation....why do i have to take the tip out when im paying. If I could give this place a negative 5 stars I would. As you can see in the attached pictures I paid $88 for a pedicure and did not receive $10 worth of services. My feet looked better before I went in there. Whatever they put on my feet cause them to peel like crazy and the callus remover didn't remove anything. It loosened up the calluses and they just left it on. These pictures were taken after I went back to give them a chance to fix this. RUN THE FUCK AWAY ! I work a full time job in a hospital and finally had a chance to come in and see if I can get my refund. This has to Be the worst salon on the face of this earth. I got a FULL SET WITH GEL! Paid $85 for shit work done by JUNE. My nails broke off within 4 days of me having them. They were different shapes and different sizes. I waited a whole fucking hour for the owner to sit on the phone thinking it's funny to not know how to do a refund. I now understand why this shit hole has no one in it ever. I politely asked for a refund to wait an hour plus and than have the dumb asses who work here tell me they can do anything. Long story short me June and the "manager" ended up in a screaming fight that almost got physical cause June thought he was cute by putting her fingers in my fucking face while yelling. Due to Covid I understand a lot of businesses are hurting for money. As I am too, but I never go anywhere I can't afford. The prices always change. Not sure if they r posted, unless they're promoting a special. The place is nice & looks clean. They are very expensive for the quality of work they do. Staff changes frequently. They're very rude! While getting a gel nail polish done, the manicurist doing my nails spoke in her language native tongue to her co-worker the whole time, tried to clean my cuticles but I would have to tap her to show her spots that needed to be cut and clean. I've been there more than once and always hope for a better outcome. I noticed that they will lotion your hands before polishing them so it's swellens the cuticles and you don't notice the hard cuticles that should have been cut earlier. And I've been there often enough where they should know me by name and I should know a few by name myself. But I don't care to have a conversation with someone who is sitting a foot away from me and will not even look me in my face. Isn't going to a nail salon somewhere to getting your hair done? Shouldn't you have some type of rapport with the person ( that sits a foot away from u biweekly) that makes you want to come back and shouldn't the manicurist enjoy doing her job and seeing you come through the door again. Shouldn't the few hours that you've taken out of your day be relaxing similar to a spa not a race track? Or am I looking at this the wrong way? By now I clearly want a good job done, NO actually an EXCELLENT job that was done ESPECIALLY for what they have charged me. Shouldn't the customers be happy when they walk out the door and ready to post a pic of their hands on social media? Not leaving aggravated and wishing you had went a few more blocks and another direction and then much happier. I'm convinced they're only around because of ShopRite and their location. You make an appointment and they do not even ask for your details and when you get there they look confused. They are rude and aggressive when doing nails. I had an acrylic full set done by JUNE. She charged an extra 15 to take off my previous manicure by force without any care for my natural nail. she left my nails lumpy and all different sizes and tried to charge an w extra $25 for gel polish. My mani was a oil rub, nails shaped, polish. No soak and had to request my nails to be reshape as there was some sharp angles on my curved nails. Strange. I was a regular at the nail salon for well over a year. I started noticing their customer service was slowly deteriorating. I sat for 30 minutes waiting for someone to take me and was overlooked for another walk in. I recently went back for a manicure. Upon completion I was told the price was $16 vs the $10 I was expecting. When I inquired why the price was so high, the manicurist told me it was the polish I chose. Had they had a sign or advised me of the additional cost, I would have chosen another polish. When you go for a mani pedi, you want to relax not get annoyed. Now when I went to the register to cash out Sam was at the register when he saw me take money out my purse he says oh wowww you rich are you going to leave. First of all when I came for my appointment they were not too friendly, I was getting eye lashes extensions , they rushed it usually it take an hour and half and I was out of there in less than an hour. The next day most of the lashes on my right eye was gone and couple days later when I called to complain the lady was rude and told me she would fix if I paid $45. I went there for a pedicure twice and both times had men who did not know what they were doing. I had to tell the first one what to do and the second one the woman next to him had to tell him. While scrubbing my feet, BOTH of them filed my foot and scraped them raw to where they bled. The first one was on the side of the heel and the second one on my toe. My friend was with me and the woman who did hers did a wonderful job. I showed the manager and she said "Oh, sorry" and handed me the bill to pay. I showed her my foot and told her it was the second time and again she said "Oh sorry" and stood there waiting for me to pay. I was a customer of the salon for 12 years only because of convenience of the location. They are extremely overpriced and do not do as well as a job as they used to years ago. They just don't care. They have such a nasty attitude and as many people have complained they will be so rude about asking for a tip. My husband's spent thousands here buying massage packages for us. They have 2 great massage therapist and they are very kind. However the rest of the nail team ruins the experience. My very last time there I was told to sit in a chair to wait for the next nail technician to come take care of me. Another nail technician came up to me and rudely told me to get up because I was sitting at her chair. I got up paid for the services that were provided to me and told the massage therapist I have gone to for years with my husband that I would no longer be returning because I had had enough of the attitude at this location. I just got a shellac manicure here and could not be more upset. First, she cut my cuticles so low that my fingers are bleeding. Then my nails weren't even filed evenly or completely for that matter. I went with my mom to treat her to a relaxing pedicure. The price for the services is pretty good but the service itself was sub par. It was easy to book a same day appointment and they had enough technicians to comfortably give a pedicure to both of us at the same time. The technicians were very quiet and I don't think said anything to us, not even a hello. My pedicure was really rough and my mom's was worse. She later told me that the man giving her a pedicure was really rough and the massage was quite painful. My technician cut my cuticles too aggressively and later I had a mild infection on the cut. Once we were in the drying area another attendant immediately asked for payment before we were even dry. Once I made my payment no one came to check on our nails and we were effectively ignored. Im only giving one star because its clean but very expensive for just the basics. My pedicure was rushed and whatever tool they used put cuts/ slices on my feet. I asked for acrylic and square shaped and showed a picture and she gave me coffin shape saying it looks better . I had to make her add acrylic powder to one of the nails because it was terrible shaped . They were crooked and uneven . The only real thing I liked was the cleanliness and the color I picked out but its such a waste of money. ALSO , they tried to trick me into getting UV gel so they could charge me like $90 . I thought they were referring to the gel that goes on too of the acrylic , so I looked up their site on my phone and realized they were totally different. I had to say acrylic multiple times and she seemed upset that I made her do it but now I know why because she didnt know what she was doing. I have been a customer since this salon opened years ago and have never found a place I would switch to (or switch back to). It's reasonable, it's clean, it's pretty, it smells good and the people are very friendly. A girlfriend and I regularly go for mani/pedis (plus chair massage!) and my friend comes back even though she has now moved 45 minutes away! There are times they get busy and you have to wait, but it works out better if you make an appointment - even a half hour before you go. They do a very good wax, also, with attention to detail. We got eyelash extensions once and those were amazing. We also got facials once - my friend liked hers but I was not impressed, I wished it had been a little more luxurious. read more

I received a gift card for my birthday for manicure, massage and reflexology service at Angel Tips Nail in Stamford, CT. The nail technician showed me a panel of nail colors and told me to pick a color. So I picked a color, after receiving my manicure and massage, as I was getting my reflexology done, the manager came over to me and said I need to pay $23 more for the nail polish on my finger nails, because gel polish cost more. I told her the nail technician did not tell me that. The manger said all customers knows that. I told her that was my first time at that nail salon and I did not know that the nail polish was gel, because the technician did not tell me and there was no label on the bottle. The manager was rude and loud towards me and I was embarrassed. Then I asked her was I going to get nail polish on my feet because the technician did not bring the polish over, she told me that if I want a pedicure it would cost me an additional $48. I ask her how much more would it cost for just polish, the same as my fingernails. She told me $30 in addition to the $23 for my finger nails. She wanted me to pay $53 just for nail polish. As for the reflexology, the technician massage my lower legs only not my feet with Queen Helene. Most places would paint the toes nail with this service. My advice would be to stay away from Angel Tips, if you go there always confirm charges prior to service or they would try to con you out of more money.
