I just wanted to give a shout out to this business. I haven't been here since Fairway closed, but I will definitely start coming back on a regular basis. I was greeted with the customary"choose your color". But when I gave my polishes (one for toes one for fingers) to the manager, she felt my cold hand, exclaimed and led me to my chair in the sweetest way possible. My manicurist was Kelly, I chose the mineral salt pedicure. This is going to sound weird- but I'm very sensitive- and usually start giggling or get super tense (to the point of foot cramps). I stayed calm and relaxed throughout the whole treatment- even the callous removal. Lastly, I can't fail to mention that the playlist got me into a great mood, lots of girl positive songs from all decades. And yes, my nails look good! read more

I've been getting dip powder on my nails for years from other salons. Decided to try this place because it's close to me and let me say - I've never been pissed enough to write a bad yelp review in my life. This place should be shut down. First of all - the second I sit down the owner and nail tech aggressively crowd me try to upsell me to UV gel, after I say no five times and am clearly uncomfortable two more techs come over and say "what's the reason you don't want it" "it's only $10 more". Then she only lets my old powder soak off for three seconds before scraping it off on high setting and ruining my natural nails. I go to pay and they tell me it's $65 before tax and tip which is $15-$20 more than anywhere in Stamford for powder which I'd be totally fine with if it was high quality Now, a few days later, which always looks perfect still normally, the powder is chipping and one tip cracked in half. I'll preface this review by saying that I regularly get my mani/pedi done in Manhattan at my go to spot for $27 including tip. However I was in Stamford and decided to give this place a try. I called around 1pm to see if there was a wait. The lady asked when I wanted to come and gladly made an appointment for me for 2pm. I arrived at 2pm for my mani pedi and greatly promptly by a couple of the staff members. I was a little disappointed in their color selection for regular polish but they had Essie, OPI, and a couple other special brands. I waited for about 5 minutes in the pedicure chair before the lady came over to start. The place was packed on a Saturday afternoon but they were well staffed. They have 8 pedicure chairs and over 10 manicure seats. I chose the regular pedicure for $28; it felt very rushed. I wish she spent a little more time shaping and cutting the cuticles on each toe. I'm pretty sure the whole thing was over in 20 minutes. They put plastic bins inside the foot tubs and replace them after each person which keeps things clean. All tools were taken out of individualized packages. My manicure was a little better however she was really harsh on my cuticles. I've never experienced pain from cuticle cutting like this. I didn't bleed but I'm surprised I didn't. No free massage included with my manicure like I saw some other manicurists offer. My mani/pedi was $41 with tax and was only 45 minutes for both! The drying station was six seats. Not impressed by the fans as they barely were able to produce enough wind to dry my nails. Luckily I have some patience to sit there. The quick drying spray was a nice touch to leave out for customers to use if they wanted. Overall, I think I will stick my my mani/pedis in Manhattan or try another place in Stamford. I paid nearly double and my experience was mediocre at best. Def give it a try, maybe I'm too critical, but I didn't find it worth it. read more

I have never had the dip manicure chip before, let alone less than 2 weeks. I typically get them redone at the 3 week mark because they're so grown out, but have NEVER chipped before. Horrible. I just moved here and will tell everyone I know not to come here. I walked in expecting a full dip powder set which I was told was 55. They cut my actual nails so short and they had to be tipped. Asked for rounded nails and they couldn't figure it out. Half way through, I wanted to confirm it was still 55 and then they tell me it's 95!!! Outrageous. I told them they should've told me about an upcharge when I asked about tips. They said "we thought you knew that". Just unprofessional and not well done. They also do everything by nail file, not your standard machine files that are used for powder, so be prepared to get your hands cut up too. Not a lot of dip color options either and they never tell you to wash your hands to clean up everything. Just not a good experience at all. read more

Shops like this tack on "Harbor Point" to attract the younger crowd and attempt to get away with POOR service. Case in point: a co-worker recommended this place for some after-work relaxation. She had made an appointment for three manicures (2 regular and 1 gel.) They didn't honor or even apologize for not taking our appointments (mind you we were perfectly on time and waited for 45 minutes). Moreover, HPN&S mask their prices by stating that their products are better than others. They charged $12 for shoddy manicures (see photo--chipped in 3 days) and $35 for gel. Moreover, the owner was very rude to my co-worker after she found out that the gel cost $35 (it's not posted online or in the salon). It would have been at least a 15 minute wait past my appointment time. The time before today that I came in for a manicure, I waited 20 minutes, WITH an appointment. I'm happy the place is busy but the customer service is terrible when you repeatedly don't honor appointment times. It can get busy at the usual times and, like many nail salons, when they are trying to move along customers, quality/time spent may be compromised but, personally, I factor that in. It's just nails! I am only giving this place 2 stars. This is the second time I've tried them. While the Manicure and Pedicure came out good, it was soooo fast! They took almost zero time on hand/foot massage and no complimentary back massage at all. I ended up paying for a 15 minute back massage which was great but I normally go to a salon in Springdale who is slighlty cheaper, they give complimentary massages which pushes me to actually buy more time and they spend time on the mani/pedis. If I could give this salon zero stars I would. The owner has zero people skills and is unfortunately VERY sneaky and greedy. I went here consistently for 4 months for eyelashes and pedicures. The price would change every single time, as well as the glue for my lashes would change, sometimes it would burn and sometimes it wouldn't. The final time I went here, the owner up charged me $50 dollars for an eyelash fill!! She also MADE ME pay it and threatened to call the police if I wouldn't. Which in and of itself is quite hilarious. She was rude and mean and hateful. I will never be back. Oh and she charged me $15 for a ten minute foot massage, which everywhere else is $1 per minute. Such a snake she is. Sucks, because it's the closest nail salon to my apartment, but I'd rather drive twenty minutes than deal with her up charges. read more

Had a positive experience here but just giving it a 3 star due to it just being a run of the mill option with higher pricing. I guess that's just the suburbs for you. Came here for a standard mani pedi and 10 min massage and it was like $52.... the nails stay in tip toe shape unless you're literally not using your hands for a few days. Mine lasted probably 2-3 but once I had to revert back to washing dishes and such, the chips came on, then nails broke and the cuticles chafed. But I feel this is standard. I thought the service was good, detailed, salon spacious, and massage pretty good with effort. I would go again out of convenience.
