I've been here twice so far and I loved my nails both times. They were done by two different nail techs so that's a good sign. I just call the day I want to go in and schedule an appointment. I'm trying to find a permeant nail tech so I like to try different people out. First nail tech was a man I can not recall his name but he was nice second nail tech a female sits all the way in the back. She did my nails good but wasn't personable at all. They also do lashes and other services. I would definitely recommend this shop plus they have a points system so after you spend so much you get a discount. The nails are very pretty but every time I go the price is different! Online for the refil is 20$ and I never paid 20$ for my nails but 35$ and the last time 40$. Last time I also had a pedicure and it was really perfect except that I have a ruined nail, and the girl had seen it and pretended nothing happened. This is my go-to nails spot! It's very bright and clean inside. The staff is very honest, knowledgeable, and great with time management. The staff is very very accommodating. They also have a loyalty program, which is very nice and different. It's another reason to be a regular here. I go to Kenny for all my nail needs. He is absolutely fantastic. He knows how I'm so particular about the shape of my nails and he does great every time! Also, I love designs and he just nails it --see what I did there lol. Anyways, I'm the type of person that doesn't talk to much during my services because that's how I relax. And they all know and are super respectful of that. I would definitely recommend this spot. I am writing an updated review for Fancy Nails. I have went 3 times since my initial post and it has gone downhill a bit. First of all, I came in at 5:00 to get a regular pedicure and dipped manicure. I finished at 7:10 - in my opinion, that is too long. The pedicure was fine except my toenail polish chipped off and it's been a week (and it's glitter polish) so I suspect there was not enough top coat there. The manicure was where it wasn't good. I chose a grey color and a silver color for my ring fingers. The manicurist accidentally did all grey and I said it was okay - and I got designs on my ring fingers instead. They didn't tell me how much it would cost though. (I assumed it would be free since it was their mistake, but understood if it wasn't) Since I got designs with gel polish on top of dipped nails, they used gel polish top coat. Makes sense. Well, it turns out, they didn't paint the top coat all the way and after less than a week later, the top coat peeled completely off several nails and is chipped off on the rest. On top of that, the design on my nails took about 20 minutes to paint and I was already regretting the choice because of that. Additionally, I didn't have any of my cuticles trimmed at all and no lotion at the end -- just a hot towel thrown on my hands because they wanted to go home. I came with plenty of time so I didn't understand why it took so long. When I went to check out, my total was $66. I asked if that was including the discount they were running. They said yes. That didn't make sense so I asked for an itemized receipt and they just kept saying "it's $66." I paid for it but I will not be coming back. It seems like they raised their prices and aren't honoring the discount anymore. read more

Serene, greatly skilled technicians and most important hygienic nail salon. I have been going to Kenny for a year now and I was so glad to hear he was opening his very own nail salon. The salon is professionally ran by Kenny Tran's family, which shows through the friendly customer service from the receptionist to the nail techs. Upon arrival I was greeted by the receptionist and enrolled in the salon's rewards programs. I was then pampered with a relaxing massage on the plush pedicure chairs and offered a beverage. The spa pedicure was very relaxing and my gel powder nails look perfect! I will definitely be a repeat customer because of the emphasis on good hygiene practices. The tools are individually wrapped and sanitized. Disposable bags are used for the pedicure bowls and no cheese graters or other unsanitary tools were used. I'm very particular about the shape of my nails but Kenny never disappoints, he's very detailed oriented and hands down the best nail tech in the area. read more

This place is clean and has no "nail salon smell" thanks to their air filter system. I got my dipped manicure done by Cherry who was very personable and detail oriented. I really like how she helped shaped my nails to the short squval shape. I don't think I'll be going back to gel nails after this (I really like the thickness of dipped nails) and this will probably be my go-to nail salon. Being in the service industry, I always try giving people the benefit of the doubt. I've been coming here driving 30 min out to come see Nina, so if you choose to come here CHOOSE HER. Today, she was unavailable but I still decided to come in which was my biggest mistake. When I get acrylics done, the chemicals from it make the skin under my nails peel so I let them know beforehand. I got my pedicure done then when it was time to do my manicure, she sent me off to another lady and told her I had cuts. She put the tips and then once she started filing...she started filing my skin. Not even my nails. I obviously said "OW" and she said she was just trying to do her job. She wasn't sorry nor did she try to be gentle with me so from there she gave up and sent me off to another person. She had no patience and was super unprofessional and kind of made a scene about it. The next lady was super sweet but she had her mask off the majority of the time and then she started coughing...ON MY HAND. She also kept rubbing her face with her hands and didn't wash them. I've never been so upset on how unprofessional this place was and also not taking the mask mandate seriously. I went there three times to get pedicures and my experience got worse over times. The first time was fantastic. I was looking for a nail shop that is closer to my house, normally I go to my fav salon in Ashburn, and with 20%, it was amazing. I got spa pedicure with hot stone massage. The girl did my service was nice although she only spoke little English. Since my first time was so nice, I came back again in an evening for another pedicure with 5' hot stone massage. I didn't mind waiting because I walked in while they were busy. A middle age lady who did my pedicure kept asking me if I wanted to add more time for my massage when I already said no, and she showed attitude. She was tired and kept sighing, which made me feel uncomfortable. I understood she worked hard since the morning but I came at 7pm and I didn't keep her stay late. She actually was the first technician logged out. Last week was tough with me and I had some ingrown so when we drove pass the salon yesterday, my bf told me to go in and get a regular pedicure. I was grateful that they allowed my bf to sit next to my chair to chat, and the technician was able to got all of my ingrown out. But other than that, everything was wrong. The technicians kept joking, laughing and hitching each other, even to the technicians who were doing manicures. I supposed to relax and enjoy the pedicure, right? The receptionist didn't even care about me when we walked out to dry my nails, SHE'S ALWAYS ON HER PHONE, even when I asked her where to sit. My bf never complains about anything and he said the customer service wasn't as good as the look of the To be honest, I appreciated the owners, the lady and the guy who I dont know their names. I just got my nails done yesterday (regular polish) and they've already chipped off on multiple nails. I understand that regular polish chips easier, but it was cracking a falling off after just a day. I also had a a poor experience while getting my nails done because my nail technician was watching youtube while doing my nails, and my friend went with me and her nail technician was watching their stocks the whole time. Also, while my nails were getting painted, the nail technician didn't let the layers dry in between coats, which may be why they are cracking so soon. I've never felt the need to leave a review on anything before, but my experience was so poor here, I feel like it's necessary. read more

Very expensive, half job for yr price and was skipping parts of the service I paid for.

Got a fill on Friday and she was done in 30 minutes ... I let it go. Today (Tuesday) 2 of my GEL nails had chipped, 2 nails lifted and 1 had bubbles on top. I went to get them fixed today and they glued the 2 that had lifted and 'fixed' the 2 chipped nails, ignored the bubbled one. I had the chrome done and the 2 'fixed' nails don't match because they couldn't figure which powder was used and they told me to take a picture next time, seriously?! No apologies or any mention of the terrible fill that was done, just a half ass 'fix' and then they were done .... To worried about being on their phone and talking to each other. Terrible customer service. Don't waste your time or money and go somewhere that actually cares about their customers. Not that they care but they just lost a customer. read more

I get a manicure and pedicure every month I wanted to try a new place. Worst mistake of my life I've never had such a crappy job in my entire life for just a simple manicure and pedicure. When I called this morning I was told to come in at 11:30 am. Since this was my first time there, I arrived a little early. There were 2 people waiting their turn before me. No one greeted me nor acknowledged my presence. After 5 minutes or so.. a tech came over and asked what I wanted (did not ask for my name) I responded a gel mani, of course I got the pedi upsell. I selected my polish and was seated. The tech never said hello or gave me her name. She did the usual: cotton, acetone, wrapped in foil. Ok...then she left me. Around 11:30 another client came in wanted 5,yes, 5 designs on her nails. I thought the tech would come back to remove the foil and polish and at the least, allow me to soak my nails. Instead she proceeded to do the other lady's nails. I waited a total of 20 minutes before I removed everything to leave. When the tech saw me, she waved her arm and said I was next. Nope, no way. I left. In hindsight, I look back at all the red flags that normally would have sent me packing: 1) cleaning work stations with what appeared to be a dry red cloth.. the same type that my hands rested on. No antibacterial products. 2) no sign of sanitized tools 3) did not appear to be tidy. read more

I came in to the Fancy nails salon on Saturday to give them a try. My manicure came out great, Tammy did a really great job. She even re-matched the colors from the picture I showed her. Unfortunately the original colors picked were incorrect and my toes did not match as I wanted. Another nail tech had selected my colors from the picture I had shown her. Then another nail tech did my pedicure. My polish on my pedicure did not last. And I think it is due to the woman who did my pedicure did not wait for my feet to dry after finishing the polish and put my feet right in the paraffin. At other salons I have been to I don't even put my feet into paraffin until after my manicure is almost done. Not sure if this is the practice of your salon to do paraffin immediately after a pedicure is done, especially when my toes have not even had a chance to dry. I definitely would not use the nail tech I had for my pedicure again. read more

I came to Fancy Nails with a 4pm appointment to get an SNS manicure. Coming in I had acrylic on my nails. They sat me at a table for almost an HOUR soaking my hands in acetone with only being checked on once! Before starting the whole process, I told the lady to be careful taking the acrylics off as I wanted my natural nails to not break off. When she began taking off the acrylic, she CUT my nails almost all the way back and let my nails soak longer. I was not happy and she knew it. I was not happy at all with the service I received or the fact that my appointment was at 4pm and i didn't begin the service until 5:15pm. It does NOT take that long to remove acrylic from nails. They also had a 10% discount that I'm sure was not added to the end price even when asked To say the least, I will not be coming back here and I WILL be urging friends and family and others to not come here as they scam you for money and don't care about you as a customer. read more
