They are very insisting on trying to get you to buy gel nails/design/wax or whatever other services so you can get out of there with a $60 + bill. I went in on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago for a pedicure. I showed the man doing my pedicure a picture of the ombre style paint I wanted ($15 extra). It was obvious that he didn't know how to do, but he insisted that he could and it would look great. He upsold me to the gel polish ($15 extra) because I was about to go to the beach and he said it would last much better (that turned out to be true). When he was finished, the color transition was so subtle you could not tell it was ombre at all. I brought this up to him and another worker (who spoke more English) and they both insisted it was right. There were several people who had been waiting for over an hour, so I let it go and left. I ended up painting over it to get closer to the look I wanted. A few days later I found out that I need to go back into a salon to have the polish removed because it's gel and I could damage my nails if I remove it myself. I told the people at the shop that I'd never had gel polish and I don't get my nails done regularly. They absolutely should have told me that I'd have to go into a salon to have it removed. It seemed like they were all about getting the most money from me they could on that visit and didn't care about customer service. I won't be back. read more

I first I want to say what happened to the old school pedicures. Where you paid $25 and the process took 45 minutes and you walked out feeling like you just stepped out of heaven. After all I have been going to Fancy Nails off and on for over 20 years Now don't get me wrong I know times have changed, I get it, BUT DAMN! Now they do still have the $25 Pedi but they make you feel like literally they are gonna soak your feet and just change the polish? So I walked in and they asked me What do you need, not how are you or a proper greeting. I told them just a pedicure. They said pick your Color. The Owner said come over here and I walked towards her and then she walked away from me. I just stood there and then some girl said. you sit here. She gave me a brochure of all there pedicures but she said $35 Pedi is so much better! she took it from my hand. So I told her Ok I'll take the $35 Pedi. She said put your feet in water, roll up your pants, and then she walked away. The water got so hot it was burning my feet that I had to take them out. She said water too hot, so she turned it to cold. She didn't say her name just started going to work. She was doing the steps of the pedi so fast. She wasn't even looking at my feet, at times she was barely even touching them. She literally was was just looking around, mean while people were constantly coming in, which it doesn't matter how busy they are they don't say No to anyone. that walk through there door. They over book and don't give the time to the client's already in the chair. She kept putting hot water and burning my feet, I get it the first time it was accident. but two times after that, pay attention! To sum it up over all really bad service. From start to finish she took 26 minutes. I went there to relax and I feel liked I got robbed. $35 plus tip it was not worth my time. She left me and started working on someone else. didn't even say bye. I will not go back to this Salon. They are making a fortune at robbing there client's. The prices are too high for what you get. Don't waste your time! I'm not sure what kind of business they are running but I walked out not getting what I wanted and still being overcharged. The nail technicians literally bargained with me when I told her what I wanted, and she didn't do it. BEWARE!!! The first time I was here the staff was so loud and obnoxious that I almost asked them to be quiet . They were cackling and laughing and talking so loud amongst each other that there was no way that anyone in there could relax! The woman who did my nails (Connie) did a good job, but wasn't very pleasant. Still I tipped her $20 and told them I would be back. I travel for work so I made my next appointment days in advance. The day of my app I called and told them I was running about 30-45 min late and asked if she could still see me. The man on the phone said yes and to come on in. I arrived at my appointment and Connie was with someone else that she clearly just started on. I told them I had an app from a week ago and I had called to say I was running late. Connie just looked at me rudely and told the people at the front that she couldn't do my nails because I was late! And then Connie and the woman up front and the man who I spoke to on the phone started yelling at each other in a foreign language. They were all bickering and causing a scene and not one of them addressed me to explain what was going on. It was clear that I was not going to be seen so I turned around and walked out all while they are still arguing amongst themselves. Then Connie and the lady up front ran out and tried to apologize after I was already in my car! Even going so far as to open my car door as I was about to pull out!!! CRAZY! This place is a circus with POOR POOR customer service. I don't know about you but I like to relax and destress when getting my nails and toes done. . . This is NOT the place for that. read more

When I got there, it looked busy. I asked if there was a wait, was told no, and then waited for 5-10 minutes. I got the gel polish with a french manicure. I've gotten this before and it's usually an upcharge of $5 for the french and $8-10 for the gel; here, it was also $5 for the french but $20 for the gel. I knew it was too much for a regular strip mall nail salon, but I was eager to get my nails done and hoped for better quality. It was not higher quality; it looked good at a distance for about a week. This stuff is supposed to last something like 3-6 weeks. It had bubbles immediately and started peeling and chipping within days. I felt completely ripped off. For a few dollars more or maybe even the same price, I could have gotten a complete solar set. She also used her cell phone during the manicure. I admit I didn't complain or ask for anything corrected, but I had limited time and patience for bad service. read more

I decided to come to Fancy Nails since I was desperate to get my nails filled and I was in the area. The staff greeted me nicely, which was a good first impression. I didn't have to wait and got seated right away. I had on acrylic nails with gel polish on top, asked the lady how much it'd cost if I was to get the same thing again. She then asked another nail tech, as if she didn't know, she found out it would cost $35 to get a fill with gel polish. I decided to get it done. I was curious so I asked about the price of a regular fill with regular polish. She once again turned and asked another nail tech. They said it was $30 because they would have to take the gel polish that I had on off first. That was probably the first time I heard something like that. Normally, it would only be charged if the customer wants a new full set. This was a REFILL. I've worked at two different nail salons so I know. Anyway, it was not a big deal since I always get gel polish. The nail tech then began her work. Everything was smooth until the shaping part. I kept telling her how I wanted my nails to look, she didn't understand, I had to show her several pictures of my previous fills that I took. I'm not a picky customer. I just wanted my nails to look the way I expect it to look like. Overall, her work turned out great and she was nice. However the place was filled with technicians who would speak loud and act unprofessionally. I would only give this place a 3 stars. read more

I have given this place three tries and all three times same results. This has to be the most unprofessional nail salon that I have ever been to. Everyone stands around gossiping instead of focusing on doing a great job on your nails. Which ultimately results in crooked and cheap looking nails. I will never in my life go back here again. Walked in on Saturday and was seated right away for a manicure. Everyone was so welcoming, the music was upbeat, and the place is gorgeous! I had a picture of the nails I wanted and my finished nails were even better than the photo! Seriously still dying over how amazing my nails look, like this cannot be real. It was my first time getting my nails done ever and I didn't really enjoy my experience here. Basically they lady who was doing my nails didn't do a good job and she forgot to put a coat on one of my nails and remembered last minute. What made me not want to come back was that she told me that I could give her my tip when I was done washing my hands, It's not her decision whether I leave a tip or not it's mine, I didn't say I was or wasn't giving her a tip. That made me not leave her a tip and I just decided to leave. read more

I went in for my nail appointment 7/7/18 and had to wait 30 mins beyond my appointment time before my service actually started. The nail tech took it upon herself to file down my nails extra thin and narrow and tells me my fill which is normally $25 is now $30. The detail powder that I normally get for $10 is now $15. During small talk I told her that I am active and play sports. That night during my game my nail popped off. Made a appointment with the same tech the next day to get it fixed. When I got there I was rudely questioned by the receptionist. The original nail tech told me I would have to wait a "long long time, I am busy" I advised that I had a appointment with her. I was handed off to other tech that seemed unexperienced. He had a hard time applying the nail and it ended up being crooked. Once done I showed the original tech and she wouldn't even acknowledge the mistake. She just looked away and ignored me. At that point I was just over being mistreated and I left. There has been several occasions were the customer service was lacking and instead of being treated like a customer, treated like getting my nails done there was a privilege. This was the last straw, this nail shop can not continue to treat its customers like this and needs a wake up call. read more
