This was the dirtiest nail salon I've ever been in. I didn't notice until they had already started my service. I had to ask for my seat to be wiped out, the sink was dirty, there was hair and other things on the floor, it appears they never clean or even wipe down the hand rest and light fixtures on the tables, etc.... The nail techs are great, but the manager or owner charged me for two manicure services when I asked for one. From the second I entered to salon, he was joking about every service getting the most expensive, then when I asked for a manicure/pedicure, I showed them a picture of what I wanted for my wedding and the girls told me they could do that with dip powder. When she was almost done with the dip powder, I asked if my manicure could come with a shoulder massage- something I have added for around $10 at other salons. She said yes and talked to another girl to do it! When I checked out I was charged for a completely new manicure instead of simply adding the service on- so I paid for two manicures essentially. I love how the girls do my nails and I live very close by, but with the way I was charged and treated by the man who checked me out, I will sadly no be returning. They were not clear at all and it ended up costly me a lot more money, this is not how to retain customers. read more

This salon opened within the last year and it has great reviews, so it was a no-brainer. I arrived soon after they were open and all of the employees were in the back, so I almost left. Glad I didn't! Mia was my nail tech and she was incredible. It is a real task to find a tech who knows how to take care of ingrown toenails and is gentle at the same time. I normally have to hold my breath during this endeavor but not with Mia. Goodness, she was so good and kept checking to make sure I wasn't in pain. This is really unfortunate to write, because I really was wanting to make this my chosen nail salon. Apparently, them closing at 7:30 is only suggested because if you come in at 7 o'clock and they don't want to do your nails, they don't have to. I have been a faithful patron of this place for months and I needed a last minute nail fixed to an emergency. I came on a Wednesday and the manager told me to come back tomorrow and when I asked why, she said because my style will take too much time and I need to leave. Granted, there was someone else available in the salon and they still had another 30 minutes of being open. Nightmare Pedicure - you could lose a toe! A rookie starts buffing my calluses and cuts right into my toe bone (may be she thought it's a bunion?). I screamed so she would stop but I tried not to make a scene. The cuts from the blade were deep and the bleeding would just not stop for like ten minutes. They eventually put a bandaid on it and apologized. They then proceeded to do pedicure on the other foot. I said no thank you as I was in a lot of pain and needed to leave. They didn't charge me for the pedicure. They took my number saying they wanted to check in on me in a few days. They never called. They said I need to go to the doctor and they would pay the doctor's fee. I didn't bother going to the ER but i'm still in pain and would NOT RECOMMEND La Villita Nails. read more

I came in on a Friday morning and was greeted when I walked in and asked what I wanted to get. Came in for a pedicure. They had the water already filled when I got to the chair and it was too cold. They couldn't really make it much warmer without draining the whole thing, so I just said it was okay. Was not offered any type of drink even though they offered others. I asked for water and it was never brought. My nail tech was not the best, she cut my nails too short and shaped ugly. The polish job was terrible and messy looking. I had to ask her to redo it and it still was the same result. Very frustrating. Overall I don't think I will be returning. Edit: after speaking to the manager I believe, they offered to fix it the polish for free. They did charge me to add acrylic cause my nails were cut too short. So I guess 3 stars read more

The lady that did my nails made them way too short when I told her I wanted to keep the length. She continued to do them short and not only that but I requested black nails with chrome. No one mentioned that they did not even have the right chrome to put on top of the black. So I just left with plain black nails, I would have changed the entire nail color if I would have been advised that they did not have the correct chrome. Not to mention when I walked in I requested a full set and eyebrow wax. Leaving this place they did not even ask me if I was satisfied nor if I was ready for my eyebrow wax. They just checked me out and I told them that I asked for an eyebrow wax. Instead of attending to me when I had already requested it they didn't seem to care and just said "well she's busy" pointing to the lady who was going to do my eyebrows. I'm practically always on my feet taking care of sick patients, which basically kills my legs at the end of the week. I decided to treat myself and get a pedicure, and boy was it one of the best decisions I made! I came here with my sister, who frequents this place often. The place gives a luxury vibe with chandeliers and cleanliness. I opted for the Busy Bee pedicure which provides the essentials for $28: nail polish, buffing, cleaning, and even a massage. My tech did a great job massaging my legs; I think she could tell how stressed I was because she used her fists! It was very relaxing and I felt pampered. I don't want to lower yalls rating, I love coming here, I even drive from Irving where there are PLENTY of salons, but I came today around 4 pm for my favorite service the signature pedi, but it's 10:30 pm and my nail polish is still not dry, I'm very upset I had to take it off due to it still not being dry and having a flight in the morning. I noticed that my top coat was LA color.... Which you can find at the dollar store, the nails look amazing and the polish was applied pretty thick about 3 layers, but still should be dry after 5 hours. Called in for an appointment for a regular mani and pedi. Didn't have to wait long once I got there. The gal doing my toes did a wonderful job and she was very kind, they then switched nail artist to finish my fingernails. They were not very busy but it did take a long time from start to finish, almost two hours. So I wouldn't plan to do anything quickly after. Their website clearly states they'll take 5$ off a mani/pedi combo but this was not honored and I was told they don't do that anymore. I'm going to say up that this is the worst nail salon I've ever been to so far. I'm new to Texas and am trying to find a good nail salon. I went there early last week and was attended by Annie. I always instruct the attendant to cut my nails short and pay extra attention to in grown nails on my big toes. She immediately objected by stating that I must go to a podiatrist to have those done because she was afraid to them. Even though I wasn't getting a full service they still offered me a complimentary beverage which was lovely. The spa is decorated so beautifully and makes for a rather relaxing experience. I loved this attention to detail. Prices are pretty standard for most nail spots in the area. It looks as if they have a lot of options too for deluxe and specialty pedicures so would be a nice place for a girls day or TREAT YO self day. I went in for a dip the day before moving out of state. Requested a thicker dip so it would last through my move and the holidays. After filing they were so thin you could see light through them. After telling the guy several times they were too thin and that he even missed a dip on my right hand he said they were "fine" and that he did something to make them stronger. He said he guaranteed that they were strong enough as is, so much so he would drive to my new state and fix them if they broke. Well less than 24 hours a broken nail exactly where I showed him it was way too thin. I called and they said they would repair but not refund so I was out of luck due to no longer being in Dallas. They said they would have a manager call and it's been 48 hours and I still haven't heard anything. Let me start off by saying, the massage was good. I attempted to explore new places nearby . The girl that did my pedicure, barely cut my cuticles and I had to ask her to recut them because it felt like she was barely even moving the cuticle scissors around my toes. When she pained the nails, she said that my nail was small , I had to ask her to paint it closer to the cuticle, which she did. To top it off, I wasn't looking when she started my foot scrub and when I looked after she put the purple scrubber down I saw the scrubber she used, WHICH CLEARLY APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN USED MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE ME!! I was so upset as this is a huge hygiene concern. Then for my manicure she didn't clear the dust off my cuticles so there's a piece under the gel, and still cuticle that clearly needs to be cut.
