I decided to treat myself and get a pedicure, and boy was it one of the best decisions I made! I came here with my sister, who frequents this place often. The place gives a luxury vibe with chandeliers and cleanliness. I opted for the Busy Bee pedicure which provides the essentials for $28: nail polish, buffing, cleaning, and even a massage. My tech did a great job massaging my legs; I think she could tell how stressed I was because she used her fists! It was very relaxing and I felt pampered. I called to schedule an appointment Saturday December 27th at noon. I was greeted by a man outside that held the door open and welcomed me to the spa. He was very nice and my review does not reflect the service I received from him. However, the lady doing my pedicure Katy is unlicensed and has zero experience doing nails and shouldn't be allowed to work. I came in with Gel polish that required removal she proceeded to drill my nails down very thin and apply a knock off gel removal product that immediately started to burn my skin. I told her my feet were burning and I need to put them in the water and she proceeded to apply another layer of gel polish remover and drill and filed my toenail more the entire removal process took more than the actual pedicure service. She drilled and filled my toe nails down some more and then put a mix of acetone and alcohol on my feet which caused them to burning more. Then scrubbed my burning feet with salt scrub and limes. She also was cross contaminating from the brush she used on my back on to the acetone pump. The owner @igoftaytay refused to accommodate my horrible experience by giving me a full refund or even apologize she was only concerned with her staff getting paid and only offered me $20 off for the gel. My toe nails and thin, rough and half polished as well as burnt from a nail tech working in her establishment that has no idea how to do a simple gel pedicure. I would not recommend the Irving location Her Nail Bar or LUXX in Richardson due to the lack of empathy and compassion the owner refused me. She is unfamiliar with the rules and regulations of providing and safe service or quality customer service.
