As for the food, it was a mixed experience. The ricotta blueberry pancakes were enormous and fluffy, but finding an actual blueberry in them felt like a treasure hunt. The duck confit was decent, while the goat cheese tartine was beautifully presented and tasted quite good. Unfortunately, a few decent dishes cannot make up for such poor hospitality. They bear the same name, menu, shirts, decor, etc. This gives the consumer the impression that these are absolutely related businesses that share ownership/management. A family member knew I loved the Morrison, and bought a $100 gift certificate from the Los Feliz location and gave it to me as a birthday gift. That location shut down a few weeks later, so I took it the gift certificate to the Burbank location. After attempting to use it after ordering a ton of food and drink, they straight up told me they are not associated with the other location whatsoever and they would not honor the gift certificate. Whether that's the truth or not (I don't believe them) you have a BRAND TO PROTECT. This is what sharing a brand is! To make the cognizant decision not to honor this gift certificate is theft! I will NEVER return to a business that bears the Morrison name ever again. You have lost a customer for life. I now implore all Yelpers to boycott this business for shady business practices. They literally took the $100 and disappeared! Where's my $100 Morrison?

The open kitchen adds energy, while the beautiful outdoor courtyard offers a more relaxed setting. A terrific combination of art, architecture, and dining! They don't serve cocktails here, just wine, and we started with two glasses of bubbly, which were delicious! However, when we tried to transition to the other wines available by the glass, none of them tasted that great and almost tasted too acidic or maybe had too many tanins for my liking. As a result, we reverted back to the sparkling wine. However, I do want to take a moment to express how amazing our server was because he was kind enough to let us sample all the reds by the glass before we committed to a glass. Also, I appreciated that he didn't chastise us when we didn't end up liking any of them. However, I absolutely love the food here! The one thing that you must get is the CORNBREAD! Sliced market tomatoes - this is a no-frills side dish, but felt that this was a perfect balance as something fresh and light against the rich and fattiness of the pork chop.
