Rotisserie Chicken Breast and Wing with 1 Fresh Side Combo
    John H.

We came downtown to pick up some flowers and were leaving the parking structure next door, saw this place and decided to gove it a try. I'm so glad we did because their rotisserie chicken is on point! The chicken was moist and delicious, and the skin was the perfect level of crispness. Great flavor, great portion, and the fries were awesome! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside with light seasoning, which was delicious. Maria took great Michelle's. She was friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome the moment she saw us. She recommended trying the sandwich next time so that must be great too! They also serve beers and have good micheladas which was a plus!

Hidden Gem in Downtown LA Sometimes when I purchase Groupon deals I never know where it'll take us. This establishment took us to the Original Los Angeles Flower Market District in Downtown. It was our first time here. Covered parking is available with entrances accessible from San Julian and Maple streets. There are also a number of streetside parking lots in the area. We were able to find street parking near the entrance to QQ Cafe after circling once so we didn't have to walk very far. Unsure of where to place our order but after inquiring at the first place we saw we were at the right establishment. We were given a menu and I originally chose a BLT sandwich but they didn't have bacon available so we went for a rotisserie meal. We got the whole chicken and it came with 2 side orders (saffron rice and black beans). Surprisingly, we had an extraordinary experience in this hole in the wall restaurant. A family-run business, the owner was so nice and friendly. The chicken was amazingly fresh and delicious. We almost ate the entire chicken between me and my hubby. Took the rest home. Best chicken we've ever had and very generous on the portions too. Pricing was decent (even better with the Groupon deal). We were not disappointed. Dining on the patio of this wholesale flower market was certainly a different experience but we would come back again when we're in SoCal. Review #2481

QQ Cafe has one of the best and biggest breakfast Burritos in the city of Los Angeles. I would highly recommend making the burrito spicy. It gives the burrito its signature taste. The owners and assistance are always positive and very appreciated. Definitely heading back.

Hungry? I was at the flower district and wanted to grab a bit came across this cute spot. The staff is very friendly and kind, they recommended the BLT (add chicken) it taste amazing!! Don't forget to add the sides you won't regret it trust me! (I got pesto pasta and cucumber salad). Everything was very flavorful and appetizing. I would definitely stop by here again!

El pollo loco got nothing on QQ. This must be the best chicken I have ever for a long time now. I meant DANG!! When I reached and tasted the chicken , it was so good, I just can't believe how good this chicken was cook. Crunchy outside abs soft inside. It was so soft that the bones just come right off from the meat. No struggles on cutting in pieces. Don't have to. Anyway, my wife gloomed around for deals through Groupon and found this restaurant or I should say a taqueria (small restaurant) at the flower district. They re menu is mostly chicken, cook the way they do in Mexico, but they also have some American abs Asian comfort food. The person help us with his suggestion to get a Whole chicken for 19.+$ , and would be enough for both of us. It came with rice , black beans , salsa and the tortilla. The salsa was a little spicy but the rice and the black beans was tasty as well. This was truly a 5 star experience not only for the taste of the food but the quality of the service we got. The place. Don't expect a palatial place of you decide to come here and eat. Expect a simple taqueria type with outside sitting in an alley. It's different and makes you feel like your abroad. You have to try their chicken.

I actually live down the street from this little restaurant in a loft. From my window I smell the grey food this restaurant cooks daily. I never went until yesterday. I could not believe how foot the pesto mix salad with pasta was and the chicken was to die for. The owner is a retired nurse now a chef. Friday nights they have entertainment Latin mix music, impersonators and dancing for a few hours. I loaded a picture so you can see my dish I ate. The owner is a pleasant, donates to the homeless and kind person. Next time your in the flower district stop by and eat a great meal. You will leave satisfied. There is also an outside area to sit and enjoy yourself beer.

Do not order from here. Their chicken is not edible at all. I got this on delivery and the meat is obviously couple days old. Tasted like spoiled chicken and the meat is as hard as the bone!

enjoying the lunch special, very good and flavorful. Window bar seating with a plus. :))

Very cute and quiet location. It would be perfect for a quiet date or even s lunch meeting. I've always been a fan of outdoor patio seating, especially since we are living here in Southern California. I only was able to try their lunch special today, as I was waiting for my audition 5 minutes away, but overall I would definitely return here, the next time I am in town.

Chicken might be steamed , whatever it is it's good

This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service. Given the small size of the shop, takeout is recommended, especially during peak hours. The sandwiches at AAV are so good! Fuggedaboutit!

It's almost like a mini pizza but with delicious crisper crust that isn't overbaked. 4/5 Fried Cod Laffa had a magical mix of flavor. Personally I love the contrast between the texture of the cod and the variety of fresh vegetables. The sauce complimented and brought all the ingredients together. The soft yet firm Laffa held this hefty meal. Had to eat half for lunch and half for another time. It fills you up! I would get this again when I'm here. The interior has this gorgeous overhead natural light with some hanging plants that almost like introducing a bit of natural nature indoors. Seating - some barstool like seating and around 4 double seaters. If you have a big party of people - it's better to get it as takeout! Restroom? Yes; but didn't use. Parking? Yes; street parking

The menu is not complicated or very large, and has a specialty item like a stuffed bread with different options named after possibly the founder of the restaurant. Khachapuri is the item, but we did not get it this time. We got a Chicken Ceaser Laffa wrap as well as a Chicken Parm and Bolognese sandwich. They did not take very long to get prepared and brought to our table. These are very good size sandwiches, you can easily eat it as two meals. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and helped us make our decision on what to order. It is a very bright place. Has odd artwork, not really a style or anything. A picture of a cow, a watercolor landscape. A fish chart. Something else that I forget.... Just odd, does not really work together, but oh well. Maybe these are from employees or were donated or something. But on to the sandwiches.... They were really good. I think I liked the Ceaser better than the chicken parm and Bolognese sandwich. But it was a hot day and the Ceaser was a bit more refreshing. The bread and wrap were good. Lots of sauce and dressing. Lots of stuff stuffed into the sandwiches. Good stuff. Parking can be tricky. I would like to try out some of the other menu items one of these days.

If you're visiting the area, I highly recommend making a stop here. My biggest piece of advice is to go early because it gets incredibly busy by lunchtime--and for good reason! Keep in mind they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. While you can order online, I'll always choose to go inside so I can browse everything they have to offer. Their selection of fresh pasta salads is fantastic, and the desserts are always tempting. Whether you're craving lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, a chicken Parmesan sandwich, or one of their many other Italian specialties, you really can't go wrong. Be sure to check out the wine section in the back left of the market. It's extensive and absolutely incredible! This is the kind of place that keeps people coming back year after year, and it's easy to see why. Being Italian American and growing up with an Italian mother who loved feeding everyone, this was one of our favorite places to visit together. Those memories make every trip here even more special. My personal favorite is the Godmother sandwich--hands down one of the best you'll ever have. It's packed with flavor, made with quality ingredients, and it's the sandwich I find myself craving every time I come back. One of the things I love most about this place is the atmosphere. It has an energy that immediately makes you think of family. Everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to help, making you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. It has that warm, old-school Italian family vibe that's becoming harder and harder to find, and it's a big part of what makes this place so special.

It was getting late, so while I waited for the kid in the car at their activity, I went on The Heights website found an order form and placed an order for some sammies all in 5 minutes. I didn't even ask the hubs or the vegetarian kid what they wanted. I went with what I thought they'd like. 15-minutes later, I was picking the sandwiches up at the walk-in only shop. There was no line and better yet, they were wrapped up and ready to go when I walked in. The smiling lady asked if I wanted napkins or utensils. They have case after case of cold drinks so we picked out a couple of drinks, paid for those and left. It was easy and fast. Enjoyed the yumminess at home. I normally would save a half for another meal but my "Pasadena" hit the spot that I finished it up all at once. Quality bread, meats, cheese, fillings aka all the ingredients...to boot!
