Famous pizza is an asset to the Bethel area and is so supportive of childhood development, eagerly supporting local school systems and camps! We finally redeemed some cheese slices and also ordered Sicilian slices, then enjoyed them while sitting at their open air counter! The staff was eager to serve us, hand delivering our piping hot slices to our seats with genuine smiles. While waiting we identified a variety of menu items we would be eager to try- including Detroit style pizzas, salads, and wraps. My office orders take out lunch from here every so often. We usually order the Greek salad with Gyro meat (slices of what seems to be gyro meat off of a spit) or Cesar salad with crispy chicken we order online and they have a tracker so you know exactly when your food will be ready for pick up. Salads are ok sometimes the chicken or the Souvlaki meat is a bit dry and the salads are packed with a ton of lettuce instead of toppings but most times the salads are good. My co workers enjoy the garlic knots and the garlic bread fresh with lots of garlic and a nice tomato dipping sauce. We havent gotten pizza from here but it always smells yum when I go to pick it up. Staff is super friendly and will help to the car with large orders We tried a brownie from the side plastic container on the counter and were less than impressed dry and straight from a box. Parking is a bit rough there are about ten spaces right by the restaurant or you can park on the main street or more down the block They do take credit cards. read more

BEST GLUTEN FREE PIZZA!!! They are really conscious of being gluten friendly and that is important to me as I struggle with gluten intolerance. I have not had their regular pizza but can tell you from the weekend busyness that they not only do well with making GFP but regular pizza as well. Their most recent move/renovation has caused a stir amongst the towny losers who have enough time to write nasty reviews. The pizza has never looked or tasted better. I had given up hope until my husband took me to Famous Pizza in Bethel, almost a hour from where we live. I was so excited to see the little crunchy pepperonis! Great pizza, friendly service (the owner introduced himself tonight), fairly priced, quality ingredients, and a great menu selection. We have done both dine in and take out...great experience either way. This is a family owned place that takes pride in pleasing customers and making a great pizza. The location is cool too...right on a bustling corner of Bethel's quaint village. We like the Hawaiian pizza, which has bacon, for a nice twist. Standard pepperoni or cheese pies are also great. It is always perfectly baked with a golden crust. The standard crust is just slightly thicker than a traditional New York style. It's pretty much a perfect pie. They also have fountain sodas, rather than just the single serve bottles like so many places in the area, which is great when you dine in. I think that this place is great. I mean it's cheap, good pizza. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced for Italian food. They offer gluten free which is great because not a lot of pizza places have gotten on that bandwagon. It's a little greasy but it was literally like 2 dollars for a slice. It filled me up, and it was good. The crust especially, that's what I'm most picky about. My boyfriend had the wings too and he said they were really good. I used to rave about Famous's salad pizza, now I'll never buy it again . Did the chef change? New owners? What happened? Crust is still good but salad was lettuce, tomatoes with slabs of mozzarella on top- though I asked for extra "shedded " cheese on top how they usually made it.
