    Lasagna Pizza

Ordered two large pizzas via DoorDash. First large lasagna pizza I forgot to order that one thin crust. This is the pizza that made this review one less star. The lasagna pizza was still very good however for our personal taste it lacked beef. Our cheese pizza though was sooooo good. It came hot so the cheese was nice and melted and had a nice pull to it. I remembered to order the cheese as thin crust and we were happy that style was an option. We will be ordering Newtown Pizza on pizza nigh!

Still trying out local pizza places to see what our family likes for takeout options. Newtown Pizza Palace was our latest one this past weekend. They have a pretty big menu offering way more than just pizza... so if you have non-pizza eaters, they have you covered! We kept with the pizza theme and got one plain cheese, a pepperoni, and sausage and onion. They have a more Greek style crust (although you can ask for thin) but we opted for their usual thick style as our boys also like this. The pizzas were very good, much like other Greek style pizza we have had. We also got a souvlaki salad and a side of their tzatziki sauce for pita bread. The salad was great and so was the tzatziki sauce. Very fresh and authentic ingredients. We would definitely want to try their gyro based on this. Overall this was a success and we will be back! They offer online ordering and delivery to the local area too!

I did a take out order since I had no dinner plans for tonight and it was on my way home from work. I've had the pizza here before and was always impressed with the unique crust style that they do here. I'm not one to eat the crust of the pizza but this one I always eat! It's extra crispy and the toppings pretty much go to almost the outer edges leaving just a thin area of crispy crust. Their sauce has a unique flavor as well which I enjoy. The dining area looked like just your typical pizza joint dining with enough seats if you want to come with your family, it felt cozy. My pizza was pretty fast and ready for pick up as soon as I arrived and it was still piping hot. I would order here again!

Food price / quality (value) rating 9.5. this place uses high quality ingredients and everything is cooked properly. Their Pizza is a Greek style pan pizza with a wonderfully thin crisp crust. I've gotten probably 30 pizzas here in the last 18 months and they've all been perfect! High quality cheeses and meats and generous toppings are always the norm. This is the only pizza I've been eating lately. I would recommend the meatball and hot pepper Pizza or the sausage and hot pepper pizza and always get a large. Easy access from exit 10 off i-84 in Newtown.

My go to is either the gyro or the chicken souvlaki salad, both are a meal you won't be disappointed with.

A stone fireplace anchors the space while low, ambient lighting, wood tables, and leather seating create an intimate, inviting atmosphere. I was excited to learn that the bar featured Misguided Spirits' Howe & Hummel vodka from New York City. Stirred, it produced a martini with a subtle sweetness and a hint of cracked pepper, served in a classic cocktail glass with an angular bowl and slender stem. The design felt timeless, keeping the drink chilled while offering a crisp, polished presentation, with the Castelvetrano olives taking center stage. When it comes to the food, I have no notes. The wings were perfectly seasoned, with meat that fell off the bone; the Bibb salad was fresh and dressed beautifully with house lemon oil; and the thin, crispy pizza lived up to its name, with bright sauce and fresh toppings. This is a spot you won't want to leave and one you'll be eager to return to, familiar, fun, and full of character.

Mangia Mi East- what a lovely addition to the Newtown restaurant scene. It is homey, it is cute, it is comfortable, it is it all THAT and THEN SOME. Our family of four made reservations for a Saturday early dinner to get in before the real rush. Although it got busy quickly. Service by our waitress and all other staff was extremely friendly, prompt, and helpful. Really neat cocktail menu all spring cocktails named after Billy Joel songs- cool! We got the Big Shot cocktail which was like a Manhattan but sooo much better, balanced, and strong. Loved it- will be getting again! The food- what is there to say other than exceptional. You have to get the focaccia bread to start, so good. Dare I say I am not a huge "bread" fan and yet I easily devoured it. We also got the meatballs and a spinach salad to start. The red sauce is soooo good, meatballs melted in your mouth. Salad- they did not skimp on the Gorgonzola or walnuts and nicely dressed. Entrees were equally wonderful from the cheese pizza (holy cheese goodness) to chicken Parmesan, and fettuccine Alfredo. Too full for dessert but many to choose and sounded amazing. So so happy we finally came and we are already planning our next meal with more family to join!

The dining room was empty as we came early, and it looked beautiful. The entire restaurant, to the eye, is absolutely a vibe. There was one server on shift at the time and she was very nice and welcoming. We had very high hopes for the meal to come. We were fairly disappointed. It was during a brunch service. Initially ordered the calamari as an appetizer. Yes, calamari as a brunch app is kind of strange however since it was available I ordered it. I typically order this wherever I go, because I execution-wise, it's not the easiest thing to prepare correctly. This app was tiny, as in the serving size. Additionally the calamari itself was super small as well. No nice meaty rings. No crispy tentacles. Just a greasy mess. The dish purports the dipping sauce to be that of a fra diavolo, it was not. It was more like a marinara with chunky bits of aromatics and perhaps a bit of crushed red pepper. It was also very pricey given everything. Even if it were perfect, still on the pricey side. At the same time my daughter ordered French toast. For $18. We are talking $6 a slice of brioche. Wild business, that. As mains, my wife ordered the avocado toast. Which she actually seemed to enjoy, although the bread was soggy, and the other items on the plate severely lacking. I ordered the "lobster" cake eggs Benedict. If this was lobster, then I'm the Mother Theresa. It was, by my palate overly processed canned crab meat. At best, overly processed lobster meat, but I highly doubt that given the taste, color, and texture. The CRAB cake itself was meh, the accompanying potato hash was okay, and the hollandaise sauce was passable if not good. We ordered drinks as well. My lemon drop martinis were pretty good. My wife was dissatisfied with her margarita, then ordered a dirty martini that was okay. We walked out with a tab of nearly $200. To say it was worth the money would be absurd. I hate to be so blatantly honest with this review, but this experience (food and drink-wise) was not one I would recommend.
