Finally, I found a really good Italian restaurant where everything is made the traditional way. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions generous. I had fried calamari and Chicken Francese with pasta. Everything was made perfectly. Their marinara sauce is thick and flavorful. The Chicken Francese was pounded thin, lightly floured and sautéed and the lemon sauce was spot on. Dinner is served with a generous portion of bread. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is rather small. Maybe 10-12 tables? The chairs were comfortable. You order at a counter that has several options to purchase single slices of pizza. They all looked delicious. As you will know , I'm a pizza connoisseur. You can't fool me because I owned and operated a pizzeria for several years in westchester county . I know what cheeses are cheap and what cheeses are expensive . If you're looking at a pizza and the cheese is burnt - it's fake soy oil , powder cheese made to look and taste the like the expensive ones . Grande is the Rolls Royce of cheeses and it pares well with the right sauce . ANY PIZZA WITH DRESSING ON IT IN THE DISPLAY CASES SHOULD AND MUST BE REFRIGERATED . DO NOT EAT PIZZA FROM THE DISPLAY THAT ALREADY CONTAINS DRESSING , ESPECIALLY IF TGE DRESSING CONTAINS EGGS . DRESSING CAN BE ADDED ON AFTER THE PIZZA IS PURCHASED - example Caesar's dressing . Here you will learn immediately that calcium chloride is in most of the sauces . Calcium chloride is an electrolyte . Electrolytes should come naturally from the ingredients . If you have a sauce with that contains skin and seeds expect to have heart burn . There are 3 levels of electrolytes- 1). For sport usage , 2). Medical usage 3). Day to day usage . When you have electrolytes in the sauce , in the cheese and added salt to the dough - your eating a tremendous amounts of salts. I am NOT alleging Bellos is using lots of salts - I am saying that not all their cheese on the pizza is Grande Cheese ( Rolls Royce ) of cheese. They have an excellent display of pizza choices , however their prices can fluctuate without notice . The same four slice I purchased were 19.00 one week the following week they were 21.50. Remember if you like a pizza that has a hard crust just add salt in the preparation of dough . This changes the science in the dough making it hard tap water to achieve a crust . Don't forget to tell your doctor why your blood pressure is up . Service is good , no problems there . Order your pizza from the display and you can be out in 8 minutes or less . Sever is always hospitable . The ambience , 80% of the time tables are empty . Noise level is good if you're eating in . Definitely the best pizza in Brookfield . Pricier than some in the immediate area but consistently above average. My only issue ( and mostky my own fault) I ordered a pie 20 mins before closing, I kind of knew what I was getting wouldn't be their best. I feel like it was a reheated pie that was made for slices as the cheese looked different & the toppings weren't cooked through, still good , but it is what it is, $26 for a pie w/ topping on half. This is our go to place for delicious Italian food to enjoy at home with our family. We have never ordered anything we haven't loved. The pizza is always great- HUGE slices! Their dinner entrees are amazing as well! My personal faves are the rigatoni Marsala and the chicken piccata. Not sure why the rating is so low for this place. This is our go to pizza place for Danbury/Bethel/Brookfield area. As a native New Yorker, I've tried most other places around here and none of them come close to Pizzeria Bello's. This is also like the only place around here that offers breaded chicken as a topping. Please try the penne ala vodka pie but sub prosciutto for breaded chicken. It is 10/10. Don't skip out on the garlic knots they're always fresh and buttery and delicious. The ONLY thing is that sometimes quality is inconsistent. I've had some meals here that were 15/10 and some that were 7/10 or maybe 8/10. Never bad but not always spectacular. If you want pizza though, this is the place. read more

Just picked up 2 meatball wedges. Price went up quite a bit. About 30%. The area competition. Is 2-3 dollars less, including an Italian restaurant in the next shopping center. being Italian, we make meatballs and he amount of meat that is used in many is about half. I also realize that meats and cheeses are not as high as they were months ago So don't keep blaming prices of ingredients. If that was the case, everyone would raise them. Perfect NY style pizza tucked away in the town of Brookfield! Hubby and I were in the mood for pizza. We figured what better time to find a new restaurant for our 169 town challenge on a deary Sunday afternoon. Didn't feel like you were stepping back into time at all. The staff was very friendly too! When you walk in, it's unclear if you order counter, or if it's table service. There is no sign indicating that. However, the man at the counter informed us to grab a table and our server would be right with us, which she was. Hubby and I prefer Pepsi products, so when I was researching what place to dine at - part of the reason why I picked it was because they have Pepsi products. Mountain Dew and pizza is my favorite combination. :) The garlic knots are amazing. Seriously, you must order them. I was hoping to have some leftover for lunch, however they were devoured. Whenever we try a new pizza place we try and keep it as basic as possible. Either cheese or pepperoni. We figure, try the basics first. If they mess that up, not worth it to try anything else! We decided on small pepperoni. Their small is a good size! 14 inches is their smallest pie. It was cut into 6 inches. It was the perfect amount of pepperoni. The pizza was seriously perfection. The sauce/cheese ratio could not have been any better. Only one slight complaint was that if you use your debit/credit card there is a .15 charge. Kind of silly in my opinion. Delicious marinara for our cheese sticks. So delicious we scraped the bowl with our pizza crust. The large half pepperoni, half veggie pizza was so ooey gooey and flavorful. A fresh giant cannoli for dessert rounded everything out for a perfect meal. The only negative for me was not having a drink fountain. Had to update my last review below because I can't stay away.. The food is too good! Service including delivery ever since has been fantastic. So can't stick with my 2 star rating because it would be a lie due to amazing food :) 2 stars because the food is amazing but sad to say they lost a customer tonight because of HORRIBLE customer service, which as I think we all can attest is sometimes more important than the product itself. I called for a pick up order with 2 large pies and a salad, am told my total and that it will be 30 minutes. I arrive a little over 35 mins later to find out that they can't find my order. They ask to see my phone thinking I called a wrong number until I show them my phone with a time stamp of 6:32 (it's now 7:15) and RE-take my order, laugh a little at the waitress who announces she took the order over the phone and continue to charge me FULL PRICE with another minimal apology as they give us our food 20 minutes later. I am very displeased with not only the customer service but the food quality. When I called to place the order the guy on the phone answered and when I began to speak hung up on me. When the food was delivered I handed the delivery boy a tip and he went and counted it in front of me. The pizza was also $60 for 1 large cheese 1 large pepperoni and 1 small mushroom pie (which was alone $20). Definitely has gone completely downhill from years past. We've found a better place. We don't need this place. People may want to ask why? The manaager is abrupt and short when you ask questions about their pricing policy (they continue to use incorrect coupons and consistently say "it's a mistake" How many times will that manager say that? They have had problems like many restaurants during covid and that could totally be somthing to overlook. BUT, the problems they had with keeping staff started way before Covid ever began. It was 8:30 pm....and after a long day of work I meandered to my fridge only to be blessed by an icebox full of emptiness. Overcome by depression and, after such a discovery, sheer disappointment, I decided to search "delivery near me" in my Google search. PIZZERIA BELLO. Pizza does sound nice and; sweet... It's right down the road, how convenient. Little did I know the disappointment would only be catalyzed by a soggy, and albeit, dangerous package that this "beautiful pizzeria" would bestow upon my residence. I went with Sicilian, added mushrooms,. artichoke hearts, onions and grilled chicken breast in an effort to consume something somewhat healthy...I guess. Over an hour later and the website tells me the order was delivered. Surprised and suspicious because of this information I call the restaraunt and the woman exclaims that the driver is on the way. It only says the pizza was delivered because it was their last order, uh oh. The delivery arrives I pay the driver and he hands me the box, although prior to the pizza box handoff, there are instructions. "Be careful, hold it in the middle, you know how these pizzas are". I'm thinking maybe it's just heavy, it is a Sicilian after all. As I walk into my house I can feel the moistness of the bottom of the box, I set it down on the coffee table and reveal what blasphemy is inside. Souperia Bello? This thing is just swimming in water. The bottom is reminiscent of styrofoam coated in KY Jelly and the box is nearing disintegration. I opt to line the bottom with paper towels to save my coffee table. After attempting to begin eating with my hands, it becomes sadly evident that this meal is spoon material. Still hoping to be satiated in someway I take a few bites. The 2 stars are because the flavor was actually not too bad, it tasted fresh. But the texture was an absolutely cess pool. Like a waterlogged Amazon package. I ate a slice and a half with a spoon and then decided it's just not going to work. This abomination and I must part ways. I closed the box, and put the entire thing in my backyard, where it will provide some sort of cold lonely animal with warmth and caloric intake and if not that, it will solidify and freeze and be easier to throw away. Now, I know I ordered toppings that have a high water content, but having worked in a pizzeria for years before I know that when you have an order where it's possible the ingredients may affect the structural integrity of the entire pie you have to abide by a topping ratio, to prevent such a failure as this. They loaded it up with all the veggies which caused this mess, mozz, shrooms, artichokes. If I had the option to ask them to go light on each ingredient I would've chosen that but their website does not provide such luxuries.Unimpressive. Anyway, maybe next time will be better. If they tell you that your food will be ready in 35 minutes, you better add an extra half hour. If you don't, you'll be joining the other customers that show up when they are told their food will be ready that end up waiting around for their orders to be done.
