I waited until my fourth massage before writing a review because I wanted to get a good feel for the place. I've had sessions with three different therapists, and they've all been great, but Kelly's deep tissue massage is my favorite. She really knows how to work out the knots and tension and I always feel rejuvenated after my sessions. The place is always clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The staff is friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of care you get. I've become a regular and definitely plan to keep coming back. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated. My husband and I are loyal customers and have been coming here every single week for massages. I am 37 weeks pregnant, and instead of being treated with care and respect, I was treated terribly. The woman who answered the phone initially refused to book my appointment simply because I am pregnant. After she spoke with the manager, instead of apologizing for the confusion, she told me I would have to pay more just because I'm pregnant. This is completely unacceptable. Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, even though I have been a regular customer for a long time. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have never had this issue before. It seems that ever since there has been a new person answering the phone, the policies have suddenly changed, and customers are being given inconsistent and inaccurate information. Loyal customers deserve better treatment than this. Instead of valuing repeat business, they chose to make me feel like a burden because I'm pregnant. I will seriously reconsider returning after this experience and hope management addresses both the poor customer service and the way pregnant customers are treated. read more

Kelly is the best! She is so strong and always asks me throughout how it's going to make sure the pressure is just right!!!!

I had been coming here for the last 2 years and everyone is good. I had Gina today and I highly recommend her! read more

I came today asking for a deep tissue massage and more time spent on my neck. The lady I got did not do either. Instead the massage was very light and she was flirtatious. I have been here many times for years and always tip. Especially when it's excellent service but even when it's just good. This was not a good experience. It was a bad massage and I chose not to tip. Tipping is optional. The receptionist did not ask if I was tipping, she demanded where the tip was. I told her I was not tipping today. She acted as if I asked for a refund. Which I could have done. I paid before my massage and did not receive what I asked for. I was not asking for a refund I was simply just not tipping. Again, optional. I told her why I am not tipping today and she got upset. It was not concern. She should be taking this feedback to make sure it does not happen again. Instead she questioned me very aggressively and with attitude. It was uncomfortable. Then she said "you have been coming here for years and now you are choosing not to tip". I said yes, it was not what I asked for then left. After a massage I should feel relaxed and uplifted. Instead I left feeling mad, defensive, and uncomfortable. What happened to customer service? I have been coming here for years and have always appreciated the massage I get from Lina. I was not able to get her today and was open to trying someone new. Unfortunately this time I did not receive a good massage. I wish Family Spa would have been open to hearing about my experience. Instead it seemed the receptionist was already protecting the masseuse. Demanding her tip when she did not even give me the massage I asked for. After hearing my reasonings I still received attitude. No apology for what happened. No reassurance this won't be happening again. I have been coming here for years and always tip, it should have been a sign something was wrong when I chose not to. I should not have be questioned. I was not relaxed after my massage and I left in a bad mood after arguing with the receptionist. Not okay. read more

Finding a balance between deep, therapeutic relief and simply unwinding can be tough, but Kelley is an absolute master of her craft! The intuitive care I receive from Kelley sets her apart, her ability to identify the root cause of my tension, Kelley's touch is uniquely restorative. She listens to my body, focuses directly on the stubborn knots in my back. For anyone looking for customized, expert bodywork that perfectly balances therapeutic pain relief with deep, healing relaxation, I highly recommend booking with Kelley. She is a true professional!" read more

A massage used to be $40 an hour now it's $65. Since the establishment has changed hands it went downhill. A full body massage use to include having your head, face, legs and feet massages when you flipped over from having your back done. You only get half a massage! No wonder they want you to pay before so you have no recourse! NEVER AGAIN will I go there. read more

Hands down the best massage place I've ever found! I saw Kelly for a combination full-body massage, and she was incredible, super skilled, attentive, and kind. The owner is also unbelievably welcoming. The studio itself is spotless and extremely clean, their pricing and deals are fantastic, and the overall experience was top tier. I'm so thrilled I stumbled upon this gem. I will definitely be a regular here! read more

I continue to go to this place weekly and will rarely see anyone else but Amy. I tried Aaron and he's really good for getting knots out - but just like nearly everyone else here besides Amy - everyone massages as if they're exfoliating your skin or are in a hurry. I don't understand the super fast movements. I want to relax, not feel like I'm being scrubbed. Will I continue to come here? Absolutely. I come nearly every week. But I will only book Amy because her technique is honestly so relaxing. read more

This was My first time getting a full body massage and Amy was amazing. She asked how I was doing a couple of times, reassuring everything was okay. And it definitely was. The music was soft and relaxing, it was dim and it was honestly perfect. I was having lower back pain and my neck and shoulders were aching, I left feeling so relaxed. The head massage was a plus. I will Definitely be returning. I honestly feel so good! read more

I had a foot reflexology massage here with Aaron and it was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had. Instead of receiving a proper reflexology treatment, the therapist spent almost the entire session rubbing the same spot on my foot with latex gloves using the exact same up-and-down motion. There was no focus on pressure points, no variation in technique, and no evidence of reflexology or massage skills. Rather than feeling relaxed or relieved afterward, my feet felt sore and irritated. The repetitive rubbing in one area actually made the experience uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the therapist stood there waiting for a tip at the end of the session. I always appreciate good service and tip accordingly, but I didn't feel this service deserved one. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied, and I won't be returning!! read more

This is my absolute go-to spot! I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon Family Spa--especially living so close by. I make it a point to come at least once a month, or anytime tension builds up and I get a knot in my neck. The rooms are always clean, calming, and well-kept, which makes the experience even better. They offer great deep tissue massages! Definitely ask for Kelly! She has an incredible ability to detect muscle tightness and really targets the problem areas with the perfect amount of pressure. She doesn't hold back (in the best way), and you can tell she genuinely cares about relieving tension and helping your body feel better. Highly recommend! read more

I am very disappointed that I got the old switch a roo. I booked for Mia, but they gave me to another massage artist. The lady in front of me booked with the same person as I found out standing in line I had an appt for Mia too. When they took the other client in before me, I asked how it was going to work since I booked for Mia too. She said she gave the new client someone else and showed me back. When it was not Mia, I just went with it. But they had the audacity to have Mia give me my water as I walked out. I still tipped and didn't say anything. But very upset that this behavior happened. The massage was lack luster, again my reason for booking with whom I requested. Just be honest. I would have come back. People don't like being lied to. This is the second time this has happened to me at this establishment. I'm really bummed because I liked the massage therapist that helped me feel better. read more

Jason is incredible! I made an appointment last minute and I was lucky enough to get a chair massage for my neck and shoulders with Jason. I told him where I was having trouble and he listened and was super attentive the whole time. He kept checking in to make sure the pressure was OK, and boy is he strong! I have to say this is one of the best massages I've had and I can't wait to come back, it's extremely affordable and well worth the price! read more

Amazing service!! They are very accommodating and have a great staff. I've had many massages with everyone on the staff and they are all great. It is a clean and peaceful environment. It is extremely affordable!! read more

I've been going there for years now - it's very affordable and worth every penny. Everyone there is good, but Kelly is *great*. She has excellent technique - she's clearly well-schooled. On par with the best massages I've had in China. read more

English! Do you speak it? We made an appointment for a couples massage for 6 pm. They offered 1 male and 1 female masseuse, which was fine. We show up at 6:00 only to be told schedule-a-full. What? We have an appointment! So we agreed to come back at 6:30 and they told us there would only be two female masseuses available. Fine! We agreed. Now we go back at 6:30 only to be told the couples room is full and we would have to have our massages in separate rooms. Total lack of communication due to language barrier. We won't be back. If quality is anything like booking experience, it can't be good. read more

Great place to get a massage. My favorite is the foot and whole body combo. Everyone is friendly and does a great job.

Family spa is the best we have been coming for 10 years. Tell your friends and family .

Had the best massage with kitty! Came in feeling so tense and she focused on my neck and shoulders where she felt the most tension and I'm leaving feeling so relieved! Can't wait to come back and see her! read more

Again great service by same masseuse, she is considerate in putting pressure points and also changed room because there was noise in next door shop. This is my go to massage centre at the moment. read more

Thank you Jason for the best massage I have had in a long time! Will be returning soon!

Recently biked 50 miles and then went on a 4 day hiking trip. My body needed a massage. Kelly at Family Spa came to my rescue with an hour long deep tissue massage. She was incredible. Highly recommend her! read more

Fun little unexpected spot in Pleasant Hill to relax or have a nice little date. They have open air or covered hot tubs and a sauna. You can pick the temperature of the hot tubs if you prefer hot or a little more lukewarm. Had a massage years ago and mine was wonderful while my partners was a little bizarre with lots and lots of talking throughout. read more

My favorite place! I go at least once a month. Been coming here for 9 years now. I always find who I like best and stick with them.

Fantastic massages here. I have been coming here for years & they are always great. Very clean , relaxing & comfortable environment. I usually see Amy & she is really skilled, I always get a high quality massage from her. I recently had Ana & she was awesome too. Their prices are really good for the service you receive. I always ask for gift cards here for my birthday, Mother's Day and Christmas, it's the best gift & I have always received wonderful treatment here for over 10 years. Thank you Family Spa! read more

I'll definitely be coming back again. The space was clean, comfortable, and the service was good. I had a great experience!

Kelly is amazing! She always goes above and beyond--adding hot stones, stretching, and even some light exercises for me to do at home to help with my shoulder and neck pain from working at desk all day and lifting weights. Her Thai massage technique is spot on, and I always leave feeling totally refreshed. Highly recommend her if you're looking for someone who really cares and knows what they're doing. read more

Amazing price for a massage! Massage was nice. Firm pressure but still relaxing. I would recommend to friends.

This was an amazing massage! Sofia had perfect hands. She checked in with me to make sure the pressure was good. It is worth the time and money. Will definitely be back again. Great environment and very welcoming. read more

I've been going here for almost 2 yrs. Twice a month if my schedule allows but for sure once a month. I love how clean and relaxing this space is. I've been serviced by many but my favorite Massage therapist is Aaron! I work long days, standing and he knows what points and areas that need extra attention. My body always feels refreshed! I would 100% recommend booking your massage appointment here! read more

I don't know if they changed owners or what? They used to have an awesome crew, me and my wife went in today and they were awful. It's like we paid $190 to get lotion wiped on our backs, no pressure, no skill just 2 ladies that aren't real Masseuses. read more

This is my fiance and I go-to massage place. We love coming here as the prices are reasonable, it's open late, and we can always get a same-day appointment, usually with Lina and Coco. The rooms are always clean, quiet, and private. We highly recommend this place! read more

I almost don't want to tell you how great this place is because I want to always get in whenever I want! They are great at accommodating same day last minute appointments. The front desk person is so kind and gentle and the massages are always wonderful. I see Aaron and he does an amazing job. I don't know how he always knows what on me needs the extra work but he sure does. I have a lot of arthritis and pain issues and getting a massage makes a big difference - especially when I am in a flare up. I prefer deep tissue but make sure you tell him what you prefer. He is sensitive to what you require. The neighborhood is not the best (though it's gotten much better) but Family Spa is a hidden gem! read more
