Came here on a whim Monday morning for the first time. My sleep has been awful and my body was paying the price so I was lucky to be able to walk in and immediately be seen by Nicole without an appointment. Nicole definitely knew what she was doing! I did the 60 min deep tissue. She was very strong and attentive. She immediately found all my knots and some tight spots I didn't even know about. She recommended next time to do 90min and that I would see the best therapeutic results with a massage every 2 weeks. I would come back again and see Nicole! I do wish there was less sound bleeding and maybe the ability to turn the lights down lower/music up a little, but otherwise I had a great experience. read more

My husband and I received a couples massage here. The person massaging me had to keep instructing the person massaging my husband on what to do, and when my husband would make requests on how/what he preferred, the therapist ignored him. Since my massage was decent, we decided to only tip for my therapist. When the matron looked at the screen with the single tip, she made a remark to her colleague in a different language and then converted back to English (she had been speaking English the entire time). Since I don't know what she said, I can't confirm whether she was making a snarky remark or not, but it gave off that vibe and honestly, that was very unprofessional to do. Very disappointing experience. I am unable to recommend this business. read more

The reviewers got it right on this one. Whoever recommended Mandy... THANK YOU! Mandy is absolutely amazing and I feel so relaxed and refreshed after my massage. She literally got every knot out of my body. I wish the rooms were a little more sound proof as I could hear phones ringing and people talking throughout my massage, which was not ideal, but overall I would still recommend this place! read more

Incredible experience all around. Highly recommend and will be coming back for sure. 5 Star massage and 5 star employees.

I love this spa! My mom friends and I have been coming here for a year now. I buy their multiple visit gift cards online to get discounts (6 x 90 minute massages for $600). I have been randomly selecting masseuses every time and I think I have finally found my favorite masseuse here. My friends each have their favorite people too, so now we can each get our own person! Th place is clean, quiet, and peaceful. The place I used to go to sometimes blasts the tv or workers talk on phones loudly, but not here at Serenity. It's very quiet and nice and relaxing. read more

I had the sports massage for 90 min with Nicole . I haven't gotten a massage in over a year and it was much needed since I go to the gym often . She did a great job adjusting to my needs and made sure I wasn't experiencing discomfort. She was kind and responsive. I was able to learn what areas I had more tension in. After the massage I felt refreshed and relaxed ! Glad my friends recommended this place, I plan on returning again soon! read more

Serenity Spa - Waiting area - Massage Therapy Near Me - Pleasant Hill, California

I usually go here and it's usually a great experience. However, went to someone new named Monica as my usual person was not in and my back was hurting for days after my massage. When I arrived they walked me back to the room, the bed was not even made so i had to wait to enter the room, they put me in a back room where I could hear all the talking in the hallway and the door wasn't even properly closed during my massage. I called and informed them of the back pain and that the massage was not good and they did not care, didn't even bother to acknowledge me. Not sure if I'll be back. read more

Clean environment and respectful. The deep tissue massage is done very good. I had Amy and she's done a great job!

The massage itself was very good, which made this experience even more disappointing. I come here often to relax and unwind, but during a large portion of my session I could clearly hear loud conversations coming from neighboring rooms. At times, it genuinely felt as though the clients next door were in the same room with me. The constant noise made it difficult to fully relax and took away from what should have been a peaceful experience. For the price of the service, I expected a much more calming and professionally managed environment. Most massage establishments make an effort to maintain a quiet atmosphere out of consideration for their clients, but that unfortunately did not seem to be the case here. I have been a returning customer, so this was especially disappointing and honestly makes me hesitant to come back. read more

I've been going to Mandy for the past 10 years, and I can honestly say she's one of the best in the business. She has an incredible ability to find exactly where the problem is and work it out with precision. Whether it's deep tension, knots, or just general stress, she knows how to release it and leave you feeling completely refreshed. What really sets Mandy apart is her consistency and care. Every session feels personalized, and she genuinely cares about helping you feel better--not just during the massage, but afterward too. If you're dealing with tight muscles, lower back pain, or just need to reset your body, I highly recommend her. She's professional, skilled, and truly passionate about what she does. After 10 years, I wouldn't go to anyone else. read more

The absolute worst place. Not sure why there's so many 3-4 stars here... you will absolutely waste your money here and if you've ever had a good massage - this place is NOT IT. I regret telling my BF I want a massage.. cause he took us here and it was a WASTE OF MONEY.. and we got the 90 minute massage. EVEN MORE ... WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. 1) We were put in the first 2 rooms right in the front. YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING at the receptionist desk in our rooms, even with the music on. At the end of the massage, I told the girl if she's going to place people in the front room please turn up the music or please be quiet. 2) No heated blankets... which is usually a norm for most places. 3) THE BED I WAS ON NEEDED TO BE SCREWED. IT WAS MAKING NOISES THE ENTIRE TIME.literally shifting and tweaking. So annoying to hear. Cheap quality bed, cheap quality sheets, cheap everything. 4) The ladies who massaged my BF and I literally had no rhyme or reason in 'massaging' any parts of our body. I swear they were just touching us and rubbing us for 90 minutes. Usually at massages they give you a paper/in take form where you can circle focus areas- this place did not do that. They asked us upfront but probably forgot what to focus on because they did not know how to focus on anything on our bodies. Just save your money and do not go here. I would not go back here and not recommend anyone to go here. First and last time. read more

I've become a regular here for Rory point massages. Jennifer Z is wonderful. The staff are always great and accommodating.

I've been 2 times so far and I love this spot! The staff are super friendly and I got the lymphatic drainage massage which I highly recommended and the vibe was relaxing read more

I got a gift card for my birthday and finally got to use it. I'm 8 months pregnant and have a lot of back and leg pain. While I initially signed up for a 60 minute prenatal massage, I decided to go for a 90 minute with a scalp treatment add on. Amy is a miracle worker. I've been getting massages for over 15 years and this was by far the most amazing experience I've ever had. Amy is attentive, skilled, and just really amazing. I've had prenatal massages before but I found that people go too soft or treat it just for relaxing without actually addressing any of the pain or soreness you feel. My massage with Amy was not only relaxing but therapeutic. I feel like a whole new person! I will be back as soon as possible. Book with Amy! She'll change your body for the better! I can't thank her enough!! read more

I booked a couples massage for my anniversary and we arrived about 15 minutes early to check in. We were taken back promptly and the masseuse were friendly. I will definitely cpme back again. I gave 4 stars because my husband was very sore after and more so the next day. read more

What an absolute gem of a place! I'm so glad I decided to get a massage here for my birthday. My partner and I did a couples massage and was greeted with a beautiful lobby when entering the spa. We made a reservation an hour and a half ahead of time and was taken in right away when we came. No wait at all. When we entered our room, we had our own private room with soft music playing in the background and a heater. The massage itself was amazing. We had Nicole and Jessica and we both had a positive experience with both. They asked us multiple times if we were comfortable with the pressure which I appreciated. They added lotions to the massage which made me feel so soft and relaxed. They added a hot towel in the massage as well which was a plus. We both had a 10/10 experience and took us a couple of minutes to collect ourselves after that great experience. Definitely coming here again! read more

My husband and I booked two massages here on a Saturday at 11am. I called on the Wednesday before and they had the time we were looking for. I booked a 60 minute prenatal massage for myself and my husband a 60 minute deep tissue massage. When we arrived, they took us right back and gave us the option to be in a room together or go into separate rooms. The spa was very clean and everyone was so nice. My husband and I both had a great experiences with massage therapists who communicated well with us about our preferences. Prices were very good for the services we received. We will definitely be back! read more

Excellent customer service and relaxing atmosphere. Try a deep tissue massage and lymphatic drainage.

The (relaxation) massage I got from Gina was amazing - the best massage I have had in a long time. My body received much needed attention and felt restored. I took away one star because of the noise factor. I could hear lively conversations being had at the front desk, doors to other rooms creaking/opening/closing, and other random noises. It was quite disruptive and really took away from the overall experience. As one other reviewer mentioned, there didn't seem to be any care taken by staff to maintain a quiet environment. If management would invest in measures like soundproofing the massage rooms, it would take this 5 stars easily! Or the the very least, train all staff make an effort to maintain quiet as well as put some WD40 on those door hinges (little to no expense). I will probably still come back since again the massage was so good, but maybe next time I will bring earplugs. read more

I have seen Monica 3 times now and she is the best! I fall asleep everytime and wake up a new person the next morning. She listens and she is so nice. They also have great availability and can usually get in same day. read more

Cindy & Sophia are amazing :) Would highly recommend booking with them. High quality, super thorough massages. I left feeling beyond refreshed each time. You can book online or over the phone. Either way, be expected to pay/tip before the service (which I thought was unusual, but still very deserved-- the massages here are so good). Each time, they've been able to fit me in same-day. The prices are super reasonable for the quality of service you get. At check-in, you're only asked the pressure level; you'll have to specify any focus areas or other adjustments yourself. Otherwise, the massage therapists are very receptive and communicative. The facility and beds are comfortable and clean. I HIIIIGHLY recommend the scalp massage. I felt like I was floating in bliss the entire time. Even just 15 mins is enough to help you unwind. They've definitely caught me as a regular. The one thing I will note is that you can hear every noise from the hallway and entry room, even over the spa music. Not so much neighboring rooms, but definitely any walking down the hall, chatty customers at checkout, etc. read more

There are always massage appointments available. The staff is always very nice and Sophia is my favorite massage therapist. She has great pressure and always has me feeling relaxed when I leave. Only complaint is the front seems to be very loud making it difficult to completely relax. The person working at the front yells therapists names down the hallway when their clients arrive. read more

First impression was clean, calming, and relaxing! I would love a little more ambient essence like lavender or eucalyptus to enhance the experience even more. My massage therapist, Ana L was amazing. She made sure I was comfortable with the room temperature, massage pressure, and overall experience from start to finish. She also checked in on me throughout the session, which I really appreciated because I can be a little shy about speaking up during massages. I added cupping therapy for the first time and it was 10/10! Ana made sure the pressure and tightness of the cups felt right for me. Overall, I can't wait to come back and make this part of my regular self-care routine. read more

Just had a 90 minute "Relaxation" massage, best I've had. Surprised they had last minute availability. I booked online. The lady communicated really well with me, asked about my problem areas and pressure. She was very intentional with her pattern and even did her best to work out knots at my problem area. Even picked up on the cues that I was cold. She turned on the heated blanket (or whatever it was) , maybe it was the bed? I'd definitely come back. Super soothing. You do hear outside sound in the room, but I personally did not mind it. Rates are very reasonable as well. read more

Called the day of and was able to lock in a couples massage for me and the fiancé. Really good service and would come back!

PROS: I was able to book a same day appointment. Clean and relaxing environment. CONS: For $85 I was expecting a much more relaxing massage. I'm not a fan of quick, short strokes like you're just being pushed around. Also she spent like 50% of the time massaging my neck - weird. I even told her to focus on my back and legs. Will not be returning! read more

My partner and I went in for a couples massage. Swedish, CBD, was amazing. We paid for an hour, full body massage. Mine was amazing. I had Monica, my partner had Kathy. I wanted my upper back and neck worked on because that's where I carry most of my stress. She hurt me a little bit, and she kept checking in on me about the pressure points. But I knew CBD was coming and it really cooled off everything. I loved the hot towel treatment she gave me. I knocked off one star because I noticed my partner's massage Therapist never really communicated with him about pain levels, and he didn't get the treatment that I got in. He said he felt like he was being beat up, but with a massage.... I'll probably come back at some point, but I don't really live close by. read more

Well, it wasn't the worst massage I've ever had but it definitely wasn't the best. I had a 90 minute sports massage plus the scalp treatment. Honestly, I would totally skip the scalp treatment next time. Most of the time they spend just rubbing a roller ball over your head and it doesn't even feel very good or relaxing, which was a letdown! The reviews that say that the rooms are loud are right. It didn't bother me too much. But when the woman walked me from the front desk to the room she intended me to be in, the bed hadn't been changed over from the last massage. So they quickly turned the room over while I waited outside. It just didn't feel very professional. Also when I was getting changed my massage person didn't knock before she came in so she almost walked in on me totally naked! the therapist was nice and I do think there were some parts of the massage that helped ease some tension in my muscles. Overall, though, I think there are some simple things they could do to make the experience much better. Like knocking before entering! read more

Serenity offers a clean, comfortable environment. During the past four years I've experienced good therapists...Sophia best serves me. She has learned my body and its needs. Regardless where my muscles/tendons are the worst, she finds them and works them well! She recently introduced me to the "hot rocks" which were very effective...very hot, but very effective! Thank you Sophia! I have recommended Serenity to family and friends. I believe they too would support this validation. read more

I had such a wonderful experience at Serenity Spa! I booked a 90-minute prenatal massage with Anna, and she was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. I left feeling incredibly relaxed and refreshed. Anna was not only incredibly skilled but also very kind and personable--I really enjoyed chatting with her after the session, which made the experience feel even more warm and welcoming. The spa itself was very clean, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional. Booking my appointment was also quick and easy, which I really appreciated. My only small critique is that during my massage, I was woken up a few times by other employees talking quite loudly in the hallway. I'd suggest being a bit more mindful of noise levels to help maintain that peaceful atmosphere. Other than that, I truly loved my experience and can't wait to come back and see Anna again! read more

I am so happy I found Serenity Spa. I had a two hour deep tissue massage with Anna and it was amazing. I've been having excruciating shoulder, back and arm pain and Anna was pretty much a miracle worker. Her attention to my problem areas was such a relief. I want to start out with saying how accommodating Serenity Spa was, thank you again. We were running late and they still took us in. I got a facial for the first time and a body scrub. Nicole was so good !!!!! I am kind of heavyset as well as having sensitive skin and I don't like hard messages. She did extremely well!! I was so comfortable and it felt amazing. My skin has never felt so soft!! My face looks 20 years younger !!! My face looks so good my husband wants to get a facial! I will definitely be back to see Nicole!! Anna is just as amazing as Nicole she did my bf and my bf was very happy with her results as well. Anna is also the sweetest caring person I have ever met in a business setting. My sister and I got deep tissue massages in one of their couples rooms on a Monday afternoon. Reserving online was easy, and our masseuses were Anna and Angela. The pressure was outstanding, they really know how to find the right spots and use techniques that provide an effective and pleasurable experience. They were extremely friendly, and funny too. We laughed as they said our backs were hard like a wall, lol... but they didn't talk excessively, just enough to make sure they targeted areas we needed. Beyond that, we were able to enjoy the soothing sounds of gentle music in the background. This was a true full body massage, almost every inch, and my masseuse especially did a remarkable job on my legs and hamstrings, applying a unique technique different than other places I've been to. I was definitely impressed. Also got my first belly massage... unnecessary, lol (trust me there's no muscle there)... but I do like the thoroughness :P Overall, the place was great. The setting was clean and simple, with just enough decor to set the mood. All of the employees were personable, and really showed they appreciated our business with the way they treated us. And we got full sized water bottles in the end, which was a nice touch, especially on a hot day. read more
