I honestly don't like leaving negative reviews, but my experience here was frustrating enough that I feel like I should share it. I went to Broadway Massage expecting a relaxing and professional session, especially given the decent first impression from the location and pricing. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to that expectation at all. First, the communication was really lacking. From the moment I walked in, I felt rushed and not particularly welcomed. It was hard to explain what kind of pressure I wanted, and I didn't feel like the therapist was really listening or adjusting based on my feedback. I've had plenty of massages before, so I know the difference between someone checking in on comfort and someone just going through the motions. The massage itself felt inconsistent. Some parts were way too rough, while other areas that actually needed attention were barely worked on. It didn't feel like there was any real technique or flow--more like a random sequence of movements. I left feeling more tense than when I arrived, which is the opposite of what you want from a massage. Another issue was the overall atmosphere. It wasn't as clean or relaxing as I expected. The room felt a bit cluttered, and the ambiance just wasn't calming. Small details matter when you're paying for a service that's supposed to help you unwind, and this place missed the mark there. On top of that, the session felt shorter than advertised, and there was a bit of an awkward moment at the end regarding payment and tip expectations that made the whole experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place based on my visit. There are definitely better options in the area that are more professional, attentive, and actually deliver a relaxing experience. We were able to get a pretty late appointment, and we were greeted warmly and treated with hospitality during our massage. The masseuses were kind, had very good techniques, and checked in throughout to be sure the level of pressure of the massage was what was requested, and they definitely provided a full hour massage too. The room we were in was spacious, clean, and pretty modern, with pleasant music in the background. Prices were comparable to other places as well. read more

I had just finished a long run and really needed a solid massage to help my legs recover. I booked a 90-minute session at Broadway Massage and told the therapist upfront that I wanted her to focus more on my legs. I even reminded her three different times during the session. Every single time, she'd briefly move to my legs, then go straight back to massaging my butt. Over and over. I honestly left the place more confused and frustrated than when I walked in. It felt like she either didn't care what I was asking for or was doing something else entirely. Whatever it was, it was definitely not a professional massage experience. At this point, I don't even know what kind of business they're running here. But if you're actually looking for a real massage, don't waste your time or money here. Really disappointing. Tried this place because of the good reviews, but I had a totally different experience. The massage just wasn't good -- no flow, no focus, and honestly didn't feel like the therapist had much training. She barely applied any pressure, even after I asked, and skipped over areas I specifically wanted worked on. The room wasn't relaxing either. There was noise from outside, the lights were way too dark , and the table wasn't even comfortable. I was just waiting for it to be over. I wanted to walk out feeling better, but I actually left more tense and annoyed. Maybe I just got unlucky with who I got, but I won't be back. read more

My girlfriend and I got a couples massage. The masseuses (Helen and Angela) were excellent and professional. Helen ensured my girlfriend (who is of small stature) was comfortable and had asked her if the pressure was not too hard. Angela was my masseuse and applied the perfect amount of pressure. Helen offered us water after the massage ended. Very good, friendly, and genuine customer service. The room (fits two) is cozy and has a nice vibe. The music was calming and was at a perfect volume. I had a disappointing experience at Broadway Spa and wouldn't recommend it.the customer service felt cold and impersonal. The massage itself was underwhelming. I had specifically requested firm pressure, but it was inconsistent--sometimes too light, other times too rough. Even when I asked for adjustments, nothing really changed. Instead of feeling relaxed, I found myself counting down the minutes for it to be over. Adding to the disappointment, the spa was noisy, with loud conversations and doors slamming outside the room. It was impossible to fully unwind. At the end, the therapist lingered awkwardly, clearly expecting a tip, which felt uncomfortable given the subpar service. This place was lovely! When we first got in and shown to our massage rooms, I noticed that the entire place was so clean and had a very nice, calming vibe, with low lights and soothing music. The massage chairs and table had crisp paper liners on top of white sheets. It felt very professional. Now the massage itself: 5 STARS! My massage therapist was able to find every knot in my neck and shoulder and worked them all out. I actually felt the tense muscles releasing, and becoming softer. I came in after a long day of work. I left almost crawling out of the place because my arms and legs were so relaxed, they felt jelly. First, I called twice to make an appointment, but no one answered the phone either time, which already gave me a bad first impression. When I finally showed up, I had to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time. Then, when I got in, the room wasn't even set up properly. The lighting was too dark.and the music was so faint I could barely hear it over the noise from the hallway. As for the massage itself, it was not what I expected. The therapist seemed distracted and didn't ask me about any areas I wanted extra focus on. The pressure was either too light or too hard, and I found myself more tense by the end of it. Plus, the place was a bit run-down. I expected more for what I paid. Overall, I left feeling like I had wasted my time and money. I've been coming here on and off since they opened and it's always been high class, great quality, and affordable. I just left with an ice cold soda, I love saying hello to their parakeet, and the wide variety of drinks they offer on your way out. No weirdness just positive energy, a respectful place I no longer go anywhere else for good reason. It's obvious/ What prompted this review: I've been traveling and stayed in Calistoga on my way back to WC... I spent 2 days at Solage Auberge & Spa and had two deep tissue massages... I won't say how much they cost but I felt kinda relaxed I guess. I like their pools and facility...all in all my experience wasn't that great in Calistoga I guess I have high expectations from places like Broadway Spa. When I got to WC I came here and it was night and day - I left so much more rejuvenated than I did at the super bougie Napa Valley Spa I don't think I could ever live with a massage from anywhere else anymore! This was the worst massage I have ever gotten. He was messaging my skin so fast and rough I thought my skin was going to fall off. He was jerky, rough and the opposite of relaxing. After leaving I was in pain and stressed from the experience. I thought that come tomorrow maybe my body would feel amazing. I woke up feeling like I got hit in the back. My whole back is sore and tender. and i got a huge bruise from the massage. according to my previous experiences this shouldn't have happened. i've been walking on my bruised foot for days. it hurts, very disappointed. the masseur was not very gentle and i guess that caused it. read more
