I enjoy big antique malls, but I don't always want to spend all day rooting around to come out empty handed. This place eliminates "the search" because it's curated so well. The location is super easy to get to, and parking has never been a problem. The staff is friendly enough; they will greet you and let you browse, and if they see you lingering around an item they'll offer to help you out. That's fine with me, I don't need someone following me around. They have some furniture items, lots of jewelry and dishes, and some nice lighting pieces. The prices have been great. It seems like they offer a lot of specials, per their FB page. Items here tend to move quickly, though. So if you see something you like you're best off just buying it and foregoing coming back with a friend for a second opinion. I have never asked if they're willing to hold items for you. Overall, if you're looking for some neat things or a one-of-a-kind gift this a great place to stop by.

I needed some cheap dress-up items for dogs for a puppy portrait studio at a charity event, and Dollar Tree had the answer in their toy/kids aisles. Everything's a dollar, and I was able to pick up a chef's hat, a cowboy hat, a wizard hat, a glitter bowler hat, 5 mini glitter hats, a scarf, leis, a knight's tunic, a butterfly headband, and some tutus for $13. Since I only need the items for a couple hours I wasn't ultra concerned with quality, but was frankly surprised at how good of a deal some of the items were. Plus, if one of the dogs decides to make any particular item its chew toy, it's not the end of the world. I'm definitely keeping this section in mind for my BF's nieces and nephew. This location also had a good selection of plastic bins and baskets and a fair selection of cleaning items. Downsides: parking lot is terrible, aisles were a picked-over mess. Positives: it felt pretty clean and the cashier was really nice and thoughtful, offering to put glittery items in a separate bag. Located in strip of shops I found to be Agrace to be a very nice thrift store with a good selection of upscale items. The selection of clothing is a bit limited, but they were doing work to expand the shop into the store next door. Agrace did have a nice selection of decor and home goods, including some really unique vintage items. I found a nice older Mexican wood carving that was very reasonably priced and had to buy it. Agrace is a very nice thrift store with some really good items for sale, well worth a visit to see if you can find something you like. A bit upscale, but with good prices so check them out.

I made a loop around the store that started with produce, then into a very small bakery area and the hot bar/deli area, into the cold section and shelves, and finally through the frozen section. There are a lot of organic, natural, and alternative-diet food items and a wider array of veggie products than you'll encounter at a regular grocery store. I had hoped to find graham flour here, but they didn't carry it in either their bulk flours up front, nor in the baking aisle. One thing that stuck out to me is that prices are all over the place. Some things are much cheaper than you'll find them in typical grocery stores, while others are sticker-shock expensive. For example, Field Roast veggie sausages were around $5, while they go for closer to $7 at most other places around Madison. On the flip side, there was a rising crust pizza for I think $6 that I just picked up for $3.50 at another store. One thing I will say is that the vibe of the Co-op is different from any other grocer I've been to, in that it seemed like hangout spot. Lots of people were shopping in pairs with friends and chit-chatting away with each other and the staff. It's definitely got more of a community/small-town corner shop feel in that way. I have a gift card for the Co-op burning a hole in my wallet, so I'll have to pop back through again when I have more time to browse and don't have specific items in mind.
