I know that guys buy less than girls, but the overall shrimpiness of the section was shocking to me. As with every Kohl's you can use sales, coupons, and Kohl's cash to your massive advantage - between a sale, Kohl's cash, and their rewards program I got a $44 sweater for free. Hard to argue with that! My main issue recently has been finding salespeople to help when I'm on the floor. A couple of weeks ago we were in the shoe department and we wanted to know if they had my gent's size in stock in the back. I walked through the shoe department, menswear, and housewares before finally stopping at the jewelry counter up front and waiting in line for the only non-cashier I was able to find. The woman at the counter was quite helpful and later a manager stopped by and walked me back to the section where someone appeared, but initially multiple calls over the walkie talkie went unanswered. The savings make up for service lapses (and it's not that the service is poor, it's just that there aren't enough people for busy times) and I'm sure I'll be back, especially since things seem more orderly.

I really like their exercise wear (I found these fantastic running bras for less than $20!!) and they seem to always have lots of stuff marked down. They also have, at least in the women's section, quite a few dressing rooms, which I LOVE. I discovered their ship-to-store option and am a fan. You find your items on the website (there are reviews for most things, also appreciated), order and pay for them, and have them sent to the Penney's of your choice. If you get more than $25 of merchandise they ship to the store for free. You waltz in to any register and give them your info (you need your phone number and the credit card you used, if I remember right), then they get on the walkie-talkie and have somebody bring your bag/box to the register. I recommend not going during a super-busy time if possible, but otherwise it didn't take long at all.

Whenever I come to target, I always end up getting 3 more things than I originally planned on…read moregetting. For instance, I could come in just to get some towels and a trash can, but also leave with 2 DVD's, a few pillows, and a bunch of snacks. I love the location of this target for being so close to Hilldale. I can go there for lunch, and then stop by target to get some household items. I like the fact there is an escalator to get up to the store, and you get a great view of University Ave. The layout of the store is also phenomenal. You can find clothing and cosmetics in the front of the store, and the electronics and toys are in the back of the store. To finding towels, trash cans, and home decor, you can find it in the smack dab in the middle of the store. There is a bounty of parking underneath the store, and there is always a parking spot. Even on the busiest days, the lines never really seem to be that long except during back to school season.

I went to the store for the first time in a while and interacted with the rudest manager, watched her completely ignore her employee who talked to her and then heard another manager on a walkie talkie be incredibly rude while the check out person was helping me. What happened?? They used to have a happy go lucky kind of guy who was so nice and welcoming rather than scolding and biting managers who degrade their employees. There are still great people who work here, but the managers and the vibe of the store and customer care went from the best in town to the worst. I was so sad to see miserable employees who used to be happier. There were piles of stuff around the store blocking displays, Black Friday prep I imagine? It was not like that in years prior. I ordered at Starbucks and it took a pretty long time to get a tall latte, I really don't think I'll be back to the store as a customer -- the managers are driving people online and killing the store. I might as well go to Walmart with lower prices.
