I used to come here a lot when I had kids living at home. I really miss it. if you want to buy in bulk, this is the place to come. The price that you pay is amazing too. What I like the best is that they stand behind every single product they sell. I was walking out of Costco today and I saw someone bring back a dead plant. I'm sure Costco will take it back. When you walk in to scan your card, most of the time there is a person there waiting with a big smile and hello. I like going when Sue is there, she's so friendly. They round up carts constantly, so there are always carts for you to get inside. I enjoy going to Costco, sometimes they just have the best item you never knew you needed. Kirkland Signature Tuxedo Chocolate Mousse Cake: I love the idea of warehouse style stores like Costco and Sam's Club (as a kid my family were members and I loved accompanying my dad for the free food samples), but for a single guy like me, a membership just isn't worth it as the sizes are too large. Thankfully one of my co-workers brought in this cake from Costco to share. Walking into the breakroom, I was mesmerized by the beautifully and assiduously crafted cake. Four different layers make up this behemoth, a chocolate cake base sandwiches layers of creamy chocolate and white mousse, which is topped by a chocolate ganache frosting. As if that's not enough, brownie chunks can be found embedded in the mousse layers and there's crispy chocolate straw-like decorations decorating the top. The girth of the cake is large enough that it's a feat getting all those layers in one bite. For me, the brownie chunks were a bit superfluous as they were eclipsed by everything else going on. On the other end of the spectrum, the chocolate ganache frosting was my favorite as it was thick, fudge like, and full of flavor. I found all that chocolate paired well with a cool glass of milk. It's not enough to make me run out and get a membership, but if you love chocolate cake, you might experience a little FOMO without snagging one of these for your next party (or just for yourself). Tire center team is friendly and knowledgeable but the appointment system stinks. Any reasonable system would leave room for repairs and flats just as dentists leave room for emergencies. Flat tire repair appointments are a week out voiding their "free repair" commitment to us. Logging in to repair a tire is a bureaucracy like a visiting the DMV in 1974. read more

Purchased some hearing aids 6 years ago. Charging device I had to have repaired two years ago. Now the device stopped working again. So went to get new one. They said it's so old don't think they have anymore - suggested I get new hearing aids. I told them to keep looking - sure enough once they looked they had one. DO NOT PAY WITH CREDIT CARD on any high priced items. I bought hearing aids through Costco and returned them. That was a hassle by itself. When I bought them, they said I should use my Costco credit card to build up refund dollars. DON'T DO IT!! After returning the hearing aids the $1700 went to the credit card. They said all I had to do was call the credit card company and they would send me the check for $1700. I have to call the credit card company and chewing them out because they do not send the money back. It just stays on a balance. I signed up for Costco for one year and I regret it already. I will definitely be making sure every time I go to the store that they'll be paying for me having to go through this problem. read more

Sun Prairie Costco really is a great place to shop--in bulk. It's my go to for larger quantity items. I also always get a rotisserie chicken which has been the same price for a while. Their prices are fairly comparable to other stores but can last you longer, because of the number of items or weight of the products. Their employees are always so so nice! The cafeteria is amazing--such a great value of pizza, hot dog, ice cream, etc. Great overall place to shop or grab a snack! read more

Costco is always on our families list for the weekend. At least one of my daughters and I go. Although it tends to be busier on weekends, the store always meets expectations. Cashiers and their boxer are always friendly and seem to be enjoying themselves. The ever changing selection of items is fun to check out. Our washing machine order has been delayed again. This is literally the worst service I've ever had with Costco. We ordered online on December 24 with a January 4 delivery date. Then that got delayed to January 11. The January 11 delivery time didn't work for us so it was reschedule to January 13. Now today, January 13, I received a call that the washer wouldn't be here until January 17. This is unacceptable. The washing machine is currently in Janesville which is a town about 45 minute south of us. Will it even show up on January 17? So disappoint with this experience. Update Costco ended up crediting us $100 for our bad experience but that doesn't even come close to covering the inconvenience this has cause my family of 4 for almost a month. The $100 was offered after I told them that $50 was too little for the delay. Update Jan 17 "Delivery" day I took the morning off from work because the washer was supposed to arrive between 9:15am and 11:15am. The delivery did not come during that window. I contacted Costco Online and they said that the delivery route got reverse for the day and instead of being first we are now last. So now I'll need to take the second half of the day off as well, unpaid. I told the representative this and they said to contact them back after the delivery is made to discuss further reimbursements. read more

Since I'm a Costco member, whenever we are traveling we look for Costco gas stations along our route because their prices are usually, but not always, among the lowest in their area. In the case of this location it was about 10¢ per gallon lower so we planned it into our route. It was about two or three miles off of our route and I lost count of how many ramps and turns we made but GPS finally got us there. The layout was the usual one-way traffic that keeps congestion down and under control. The focus is on low prices and speedy filling, this doesn't allow for things like restrooms (available inside the Costco Warehouse), window cleaning (do this at another brand where there's no Costco), quick marts (go inside the Costco Warehouse)...just gas and go. No surprises, except sometimes finding the Costco. read more

I have been a COSTCO customer for over 20 years in CA, UT & WI. I think that says it all.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I really don't get the hype. People seem to love Costco, but I find it to be somewhat disappointing. We previously belonged to a BJ's Wholesale Club in Massachusetts and it was consistent in what was stocked. Costco seems so hit or miss -- basic things they have sometimes (like 93% lean ground beef) and don't have at other times. The disaster starts outside -- the parking lot is always a challenge, the only positive being the spaces are wide. Getting in almost seems like a line, and then the layout is kind of counter-intuitive with the paper products way in the back, behind things like pet food which you would think would only be of need for a portion of the audience. We've found some good wines and such, but beyond that, nothing really has me coming in here excited (unlike the people who seem to line up before they even open some mornings). It's the only show in town from a warehouse perspective, but I really don't understand the Costco zealots. read more

My visit yesterday coupled with my surprise that I've reviewed this and gave them 4 stars.... Yesterday's visit has impacted me based on 1. They're always out of a clothing item and I just caught on to Costco clothing but clearly the 608 area code isn't new to it. I understand they rotate for seasons quickly. A manager explained this back in 2016 to me. Okay, but why carry so few of the items and of XL when clearly the smalls and mediums don't sell well as they're always on clearance. I got a dress back in January. Finally wore it hot Saturday. Loved the shape & fit on me so I tried to buy more. No luck. 2. Surly staff. Maybe not intentional but the tones are sharp from the lady that was balancing the register drawer. Everyone else was dry but helpful. 3. Had to take the floor model as they didn't have any Vornado fans left. If you order online there's a $10 up charge as they are charging you for shipping it. 4. Rude crappy customers. Lady with the huge Costco buggy tries to plow her way between me, the next register without saying boo. I must have shot a look or HER HUSBAND just understood she was brazenly rude and profusely apologized while touching me. I decided then to keep making the best of this hot Saturday but limit my time at this Costco. As busy as it was or I perceived it to be .... the checkout lines were pretty empty. read more

So many great things to say about this Costco! The registers and lines run way more smoothly than on the West side, and just cruise through! The meat cannot be compared, we save so much money just on buying the meat. And the gas is always .30-.50 cheaper than where we live in Stoughton! So many great deals and friendly faces! I can't put my finger on why, but this location seems slightly less of a hot mess than the west side. The parking lot is still a nightmare, but that seems par for the course for any Costco location. I've stopped in twice. The first was to put in an order for a birthday cake. When you don't need a cart, it's a pretty easy straight shot all the way to the right to the bakery area. There's a selection of cakes ready to go, or you can place a semi-custom order by looking at the photo board and filling out a sheet. Cakes come in two varieties: chocolate with chocolate frosting and chocolate mousse filling or vanilla with white frosting and cheesecake mousse filling. You can get custom writing and some cakes have options for flower/decoration color. The cake weighs in around 10 pounds, serves 48, and is only $19. My next visit was to pick up the cake and I took a quick spin through the store. There are some really solid deals, but you have to pay attention. Some things are the same or more than a grocery or regular big box store, but just in a larger quantity. I grabbed a dozen fresh Einstein bagels for $7 and a giant package of toilet paper for a couple bucks less than the equivalent amount at Target. Saturday afternoon was a bit of a cluster; Friday afternoon was pleasantly manageable. read more

With having 4 children this is the best place to go for bulk supplies and groceries. We usually all go on a Friday night load up on groceries and what ever else is we may need from clothes to shoes and socks. I even bought a new American Standard kitchen sink and faucet. This place has it all. This is also the only place that I can feed 4 children and myself for under $20. That even includes desert. Now if you don't buy bulk a lot or have need for a lot of food especially fruits and vegetables you may have an issue using it all before it goes bad. But for the most part not an issue when you pack twenty lunches a week. The deli and meats are great we fed and entire hockey team with there pre made sandwiches and deli rolls and everyone was happy. It is all in all a great place to shop and I don't think I have ever ran into an angry or mean employee everyone is so happy to help. read more

We love this store. The only complaint I would have is a store directory would be nice. There are numbers on the end of the isles but not much help when looking for butter. There are only two straight isles that go up to the cash registers so on busy days there is no way to get to the registers in between those isles. A bad design. The no hassle return policy is great and even the brats and chili at the food court are good. Except they do not provide trays so it can be a juggling act with a couple of items. Kirkland brand items are high quality but the clothing they sell here is way under sized. A XL tee shirt was the equivalent of a medium for example. There is no change room here so you just have to guess at it. It takes a while to get the feel of the store but once you do it's like an old friend. read more

This store is clean and organized. We live in Sun Prairie so go often. Staff is helpful and friendly. Both my husband and I have ordered eye glasses here and we are very satisfied with the selection and the price. My only complaint is the food court where the opening between the table top and the seat is too wide for small children. I have seen many tots fall off the seat and hit their chin on the way down. I have contacted corporate about this but no action has been taken. I had suggested that the seats be adjustable or have extensions. read more

Costco looks great on the surface but never fails to disappoint. You f'ind something you like, and it never fails, it will not be there the next week. The floor staff is no where to be found if you have a question. Lines are long and cashiers are abrupt. Last place left that still won't take MasterCard. I guess you can be as terrible as you want if you don't have a competitor in town. ... I am actually glad they don't have samples anymore as the people handing them out actually seemed to take pleasure in NOT handing them out. By the time they had their little tray ready for the shoppers, there were so many people waiting, only a small portion actually got to try one. read more

We have always been generally satisfied with this Costco. Today's Costco run was necessitated by hubby's love of their bulk black olives. Unfortunately after searching the dry foods we came up empty handed. We were then faced with having to ask an employee & the potential dumb look that may follow. We spotted Eric working in the wine department and took a chance. We were pleased when he was willing to check the computer then attempt to track them down for us. The computer said nine were in stock & none had been sold today. When he couldn't find them for us he pointed out an alternative which we reluctantly purchased . In the end, a little disappointed we may no longer get the olives we want but pleased Costco seems to supply their employees with the tools they need to help out the customers. read more

So based off of where I reside I had to make a choose from Sam's club (on the west side) to the new and shiny Costco (Sun Prairie) located very close to my new house. I obviously went with Costco. The very best place to wonder into when you can't think of what to eat for lunch, free samples galore! yes! The prices compare to Sam's club, but I do like that Costco seems to have its own house brand Kirkland's Best, which seems to be very comparable to leading brands. I like it. The lay out of this store is a negative, and some things are just hard to find. I eat a lot of Sun chips, and I still have not found them except in little take for lunch variety bags, ahhh shucks. The milk is my favorite! Large containers and a good price, Milk---It does a body good! Nice produce selection, but remember it is all in bulk, so if your looking for one tomato...think again. your going to have to buy the entire flat of them. Why I'm giving this 3 stars is mainly because when I need help the only employees standing around are the sample people, who seem to not have a clue where other things in the large store are located.
