I don't normally bother with doing things like this but, I purchased a beef tenderloin (US Prime) for our family Xmas party last weekend. It was so phenomenal that I just wanted to let everyone know. I cook & bake A LOT and this was the best Xmas dinner I have ever made. I made it simply & the meat was perfection. It was not cheap, but it was well worth the $, with absolutely no waste. Some things it's just more economical to buy in bulk. Costco makes a 20 pack of paper towels affordable and during the holidays bakes your pumpkin and apple pies for dirt cheap and amazing taste. Their Kirkland brand keeps up to brand name products in everything we have tried. They also do immediate rebates at times and if you buy a lot of things (ahem-family of five and three pets) their premium membership is more expensive but you get paid back a percentage of what you spend. While not a huge clothing selection we have also bought items from there and have found them worth the price. My five year old's snow suit is still strong after a few months of messy/wet play. The staff is pleasant and helpful, on weekends you can battle the rest of the customers, but snack freely on delicious samples. The welcomes and cart checkers are incredibly friendly and make extra effort to make you smile. Well worth the yearly cost of a membership. read more

I'm here on a bi-monthly basis because it's, DUH...Costco. Pros: 1. No long lines like the ones in California 2. Good selection of organic products, especially the meats! =) 3. Fragrant smell of the bakery and great selection of goodies 4. The spinach and cheese ravioli. Seriously. 5. The $5 roasted chicken for the nights I don't wanna cook. 6. We didn't renew our membership for two reasons. The hours are really inconvenient for anyone that works nights or weekends. The NOISE! It's like being inside 10 infomercials all at once. It's not bad enough that at every isle someone is hawking something, but they were all wearing microphones. I heard that and never went back. We paid for a year and went twice. Plus they are way over priced. I can get comparable items at Woodman's or Amazon for a lot less hassle, and hours that fit my schedule read more

Only drawback is that some of the items you can buy in bulk aren't really the best of deals when comparing to buying @ Copp's or Pick N Save. The items that are on sale are your best bet to save a buck. I appreciate the fact that they sell organic fruits and vegetables. Really clean and I always enjoy the free samples! read more

I enjoy Costco. It's the sort of place that can really help a person out when they've spent the better part of a day thinking, "I have zero of a product...and I'd really like to purchase a pallet of said product, thus negating my need to ever purchase said product again." I never come out without spending $100. I don't know why it is so much better to buy in bulk but it gets me every time!! Great selection of gluten free, organic and "smarter choices." Items are location dependent but also has local choices for brands and items. I drive out of my way to fill up on gas. I make a trip to pick up a bag of coffee. I always come out getting more but it is worth the trip for one item. Their samples are always a plus. It is extra reinforcement for bringing my fiance grocery shopping with me! It is the one store he does not mind going to. The cafe is an extra treat at the end. It has salad, pizza, sandwich thing, ice cream...I am sure there is more. It is all so inexpensive! Costco is a great place with anything you'd need and most importantly...SAMPLES! It can be pretty crowded on the weekends but they have such a great wine selection and the cheapest dog food so it's worth it. I'd go just for the chicken bake at the food court and the 5 dollar rotisserie chickens. Really friendly staff for the most part as well. I asked a guy in the deli if he had any fresh chickens and he got me one right out of the oven. He's really nice every time I come and it doesn't hurt that he looks like Mark Wahlberg crossed with the Brawny guy. 10/10 will chicken again. read more

Usually stop here about twice a month. I generally stop in to get ground beef, chicken breasts, milk, toilet paper and paper towel for the most part. However they do have good deals on other items as well. One thing to make sure you look at the per unit price. There are some items that you are better off buying at other places. The reason I only gave it 4 stars, was that the salesmen/women that are selling/demoing products are annoying. I get tired of being hit up by the stupid Direct TV salesperson right when I walk in the door. If you are hungry, hit up the food court when you are done shopping. The hot dog and soda deal cannot be beat! read more

Let's start by understanding that we love Costco. In all the states we've lived in. Today is an "above & beyond" day of Costco Love: we were trying to buy 2 recliners, yesterday's 6 was only 1 today! No!! We asked at the help desk & they found a 2nd one stocked elsewhere, yes!! We bought our 2 recliners, got help taking them to our SUVs only to discover they did NOT fit, no!! The helpers were kind to my poor husband, an engineer who'd measured & MEASURED, only to have to go rent a truck & come back for me & the recliners. Take 2: nice guy helpers cheerfully loaded them into the truck, with our undying affection, all the stress of how do we get these home was gone. As I write, now 2 months later, sitting in "my" recliner, I'm still grateful for the help desk & loading helpers, we wouldn't have made it without them that day read more

They get one star for the quality of work at the tire center, five stars for the service/friendliness at the tire center, five stars for everything else, so, 3 stars. I used to be super faithful to the tire center -- all 8 of my tires (4 regular, 4 winter) are from them, and twice a year I got my tires swapped. By coincidence, I got my 60K tuneup done elsewhere the day after my last tire exchange. The tire center had (a) rotated the summer tires/installed them incorrectly -- the 2 tires with lower tread were on front right and rear left -- the 2 tires with higher tread were on front left and rear right and (b) neglected to mention that the lower tread tires needed replacing. Seriously? Even *I* know the tires with more tread need to go on the front, and to match tread with tread, and I don't know crapp about cars. Also, I had gone to the Middleton location the time before -- was disgusted by their lack of service so I went to the Sun Prairie location this time -- neither place bothered to tell me that the tires needed replacing? No one at Costco Tire Centers are paying attention? And should I really have to check their work? I have lost any trust I had had in them and will never go back for tires, and I now question the quality of any of their other services. My husband bought me a gorgeous ring for our anniversary and was told we could order a different size if it didn't fit. When I went in to get a size smaller they talked to me like I had three heads. I can't recommend Costco enough. It's almost impossible to have an issue go unresolved with Costco. Recently I purchased tires at the sun Prairie location. I was positive a particular wheel part on my Mercedes went missing and insisted the blame lay squarely on Costco. I called the warehouse manager to complain Costco was quick to offer to replace this part, even though neither Costco or myself could definitely prove that it was their negligence to blame. I later discovered that this part was missing before Costco ever had my car in for service. A good friend actually noticed the missing part a week before I had the tires installed. I called to apologize and offer to pay for the replacement part in question. Costco refused payment for the part even though they were not responsible in the first place. You can not beat service that good! Customer for life. read more

I am at the Sun Prairie Costco location almost every day. The location is great, in one of the fastest-growing areas in the U.S. (2017.) Their quality is outstanding, and their staff is a friendly team that always seems to genuinely enjoy working together. This location moves a LOT of merchandise and rotates their inventory continuously, so it goes without saying that if you see something you think you might enjoy owning and don't grab it immediately, you may not get a second chance. There's very little risk of buyer's remorse thanks to Costco's very liberal return policy. I don't relish chances to return things, but the handful of times I've been legitimately unsatisfied with the quality of a product, they have taken it back, no questions asked. Lastly, Costco has absolutely, hands-down, the best crab legs you will ever have the chance to buy. They put grocery store crab legs to shame, and I've found them to be of better size and quality of meat than even specialty seafood retailers in Elm Grove and Downtown Milwaukee, as a comparison. Like nearly everything, Costco's seafood has increased in price over the past year, but is still well worth splurging for. read more

Went here with my girlfriend to look into a membership for us and check out the store about a month ago. The guy at the door checking memberships, Len, was beyond rude and unhelpful. Didn't direct us to the counter, didn't try to help, just asked if we had a membership and when we said no he just said "members only" and looked beyond us. I would strongly advise against using their floral department especially if you are ordering for your wedding. The florist was horrible and responding and quite rude. The order form I was provided has a bolded fax number at the top which is where I sent my order. When I followed up with the florist she was quite snappy and made me feel like I screwed up because I didn't send it to her directly yet I followed the instructions listed clearly on top of the form. I was on a tight budget so I stuck with them. I confirmed my order over 3 weeks before the wedding and was told that they had everything they needed. The morning of my wedding my father showed up to pick up my order which was simply not there. He ended up having to buy off the shelves with what was available which was definitely NOT the color scheme I had anticipated. It sounds like the manager that helped them was very apologetic but this is still very frustrating. I contacted the florist to see what explanation could be provided and she gave me nothing. While she did apologize she can give me no reason why my order wasn't there. I find this unacceptable. The price may be right but is not worth someone screwing up your wedding décor. I would not recommend them as someone to use for floral. read more

The lay out is convenient with all these new home and jewelry items near the front that tell you to buy them. I need this, I need that. What really surprised me at this costco was the meat section. The butcher sliced up thick slabs of ribeye since I asked if I could have super thick cuts verses the already thick ones in the case. Wow, that was service at it's best.I also like how this costco has it's own refrigerated dairy room for milk and eggs only. I always have a positive experience when I come to this particular Costco, but today took the cake :) I was having a bad day, and when I got up to a gentleman named Gabe at the resister, my whole day got turned around! He started singing, and then jokingly said they serenade all their customers...then got me to dance while in line, and all while lovingly bantering with his bagger (who was also very sweet). They kept it light....seemed like they were genuinely enjoying their day...at work! Turned my whole day around and I found myself lighter and smiling on my car ride home. L o v e Costco! And the gas station is one of the best reasons. Lowest prices on gas anywhere. Period. No more, no less. And just to demonstrate that Costco extra something, they have helpful attendants who keep an eye on everything -- even problems you didn't know about. Much talk in the local news currently about these things inserted into credit/ debit card readers that abscond with all your financial info off of the magnetic strip. Costco was patrolling for these things w e e k s ago! Checking everybody who filled up. Costco was ahead of the curve. Costco used to only accept debit cards and their own credit card (AmEx, I think, at the time). Now Costco accepts V i s a , too! Perfect. Wish more stores were like Costco. Costco is awesome. I only go about once per month but it is so worth it! I love stocking up on paper goods and necessities - especially when they have a discounted rate. Some of my go-to items are toothpaste/mouthwash, marinated artichoke hearts, pole-caught tuna, bottled sauces, spices ($10 saffron?), frozen berries, cat litter, and anything else that is simply too good a price to pass up! They actually have very high quality clothing as well for a bargain. They used to carry my favorite leggings, however, they discontinued them recently. My only complaint is that they never let you know which items they will not be carrying in the future (I would like to stock up when I can!) read more

I honestly cannot say anything bad about Costco. They run GREAT deals and definitely are about putting their customers on a high priority. I come to this Coscto in particular at least 2-3 times a month. I love that their fruits and vegetables are in a controlled temperature room and they are always stocking throughout the day. I would recommend their pound cake, cheese cake, Kirkland all beef hot dogs, pizza from the food court, and so much more! One of the things I value the most is if you take something home and you find the quality is not good, you can bring it back and they will exchange it for you for free. One time I bought strawberries that were starting to mold. I called them and told them about it and they said to bring them back in and they would give me a new pack of fruit. They do that with all of their food. Just extremely customer friendly and helpful. I was sad to learn that the food court go rid of their ice cream bar which was very popular. Hopefully they bring it back. Their pizzas are HUGE. All pizzas are 1 size which I would measure to be XXL. They can feed up to 6-7 adults. We often call ahead of time and place a order for a full pizza so that when we get to the store, the pizza is made and ready. Much better than Pizza Hut and your other typically pizza chain. Their pizzas are amazing. Costco is my first choice for getting tires. They typically run a Michellin deal buy 4 tires and get $70 off. The accept debit cards, cash and checks. They DO NOT accept credit cards unless they are American Express. Love this place. read more

I. Love. Costco. Where else can you find a rotisserie chicken, French champagne, Goat cheese, 50 rolls of toilet paper, Polish sausage and tires? (Yes I bought all on the same shopping trip recently). The party I threw with some of those ingredients was a stellar success. I won't say which ones. Staff is always friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint is the parking lot. It's kinda awkward and funnels people in and out of one narrow driveway. People with their overloaded shopping carts and drivers driving for a bargain make it a hazard course. . read more

First time I have been disappointed with Costco. 2:00 in the afternoon and only one person on the help desk and people lined up for help. And then a rude person on the door pushing us aside so people could get by. How do you keep your place in line when there is no line? I finally gave up and left.
