Last year around the holidays, it started having occasional problems with the reclining feature. Sometimes the back wouldn't go all the way up, or the footrest might sag a little on one side, but it always self corrected within a few uses. I planned on calling after the holidays. Then we started passing around either the bad flu going around, or Covid, not sure which. Things didn't get back to normal til the beginning of March. I noticed that the recliner was having reclining problems more often. So I got out my paperwork, and called the number on it, and talked to the woman who answered. Answered all her questions. I was told that because I hadn't called within 30 days of first noticing the problem, it wouldn't be covered, but I could pay a repairman to come fix it. I told her NOWHERE on the pamphlet or receipt did it say that, and no, I wasn't paying for a repairman. She sent me an email, and in the title was the word Amazon. I didn't buy my furniture through Amazon. I went to a local store, because I thought I would get a repairman from that store, not one from an Amazon company. I'm very disappointed with Slumberland, and will think twice about buying anything from them again.

The particular chaise I ordered wasn't in stock and had to be ordered from their warehouse in Madison, WI and would take approximately 8 weeks. I was disappointed to have to wait so long, but good things come to those who wait. I got my chair about 3 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It's comfortable as well as stylish. Can a piece of furniture be sexy? Absolutely. And I just ordered a second chair.

Take, for example, their sales around the holidays. Last year, I got two memory foam pillows and a down alternative comforter for about what just the pillows cost normally. Their big home sales can be amazing. They also have a great rewards program that sent me a lot of free $5 and $10 coupons when I first signed up in addition to the $5 coupons I earned for purchases that meant for awhile I was often getting things for free because the minimum purchase was $10. Not too shabby. This Kohl's is generally pretty clean and well-organized; their biggest issue is not having enough staffed registers. I don't think there's been a time in the last year that I haven't had to wait in line for at least five minutes, regardless of the time or day. If you're going on Black Friday, be prepared to wait in line for an hour. Bring a book. Seriously.

We got a damaged bed, they took the old one, and then have to wait on replacement parts instead of a whole new bed. So nothing to sleep on for a week. Local stores can't give a replacement, you have to call service number and talk to a guy for an hour who doesn't have power to do anything. $4000 spent and i'll probably end up returning after the 30 day trial. The won't let me return right away. Bed is probably good but service is negative starts. It's supposed to be a new bed. looks used. Not sure i want to sleep in it. The sheer amount of lighting fixtures in the store is maddening. Over the years I've visited a two showrooms such as this place, but only in Madison Wisconsin. I have marvel at what must be available in cities in NYC or Los Angeles. Just seeing a vast selection at home centers can be daunting. Blinding in fact. But going into this store in Madison it's hard to imagine how so many different light fixtures, floor lamps, chandeliers etc are here, and this is a small version of what I assume has to be in the major world class showrooms! With that stated I can see myself spinning into an overly ridiculous essay writing, when all that's needed is to state the people working the day I needed something, were very polite and helpful. I'm an electrician and I install these things for lots of people. That means I'm a tradesman. Not arriving dressed like a customer, I walked in after a long day on a ladder installing recessed kitchen fixtures for people that arrive at this place dressed like lawyers and whatnot.
