Yes, made in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The two big box stores across the beltline have what I consider generic furniture for a hefty price. It was refreshing to walk into Don's Home Furniture and find sofas which click off the must haves...kiln dried solid wood frames. Hand tied springs. Quality fillings. I wish I could remember the type of fabric I chose, but it's amazing, and just let Owner Blaine put permanent marker on the fabric and within a short time, it is worked out with a spray and a toothbrush. Oh yes, water..or wine..rolls tight off. Now I hope all the hair from my dog and cats will roll right off too. The sales staff do not work on commission so there is no high pressure. They know their products. Stop in and take a look for yourself.

We recently moved to the northern part of WI and closest Costco is 2.5 hrs away. We bought a membership to Sam's Club only an hour away but after shopping there a couple of times we elected to travel to Costco and make a day of it. But, now we are heading to FL for 4 months and no Costco. . I value and trust Costco and their deli foods taste better than Sam's also. We had to return some recalled Carrots and lucky for us we did not have a line to wait in. We did self check out as we only had 4 items. Busy store but we were able to get in and out fairly quick.

Last year around the holidays, it started having occasional problems with the reclining feature. Sometimes the back wouldn't go all the way up, or the footrest might sag a little on one side, but it always self corrected within a few uses. I planned on calling after the holidays. Then we started passing around either the bad flu going around, or Covid, not sure which. Things didn't get back to normal til the beginning of March. I noticed that the recliner was having reclining problems more often. So I got out my paperwork, and called the number on it, and talked to the woman who answered. Answered all her questions. I was told that because I hadn't called within 30 days of first noticing the problem, it wouldn't be covered, but I could pay a repairman to come fix it. I told her NOWHERE on the pamphlet or receipt did it say that, and no, I wasn't paying for a repairman. She sent me an email, and in the title was the word Amazon. I didn't buy my furniture through Amazon. I went to a local store, because I thought I would get a repairman from that store, not one from an Amazon company. I'm very disappointed with Slumberland, and will think twice about buying anything from them again.

I then recalled the paint used 11 years ago to paint it was from Hallman-Lindsay. The person working at the store was able to find the exact color mixture used in the custom paint from my project 11 years ago. The best part was it was a perfect match when I used it for touching up. I was amazed and appreciative of their help on this project.

The employee pushing the carts is usually super nice, but the manager should be offering people something for how long they wait. They also bring out one order at a time, it's a huge waste of employee time and energy. We once went and one of us went in to grab something while the other waited in pickup and he was able to buy 3 things from grocery and the drive up order wasn't out by the time he got back! Another 10 minutes -- we went in to get the order ourselves. Last night I went to returns, and 6 employees walked by and around me, the manager came up to two other employees and not one of them helped me until someone brought keys to the customer in front of me.

There are many aisles loaded with placemats, glassware, bedding, home decor and even dog items. I found my usual dog bags for half off here. There isn't a ton of staff, but when I need something , there is someone near by to ask. They have a good selection of pieces at discounted prices. There is always a deal you can find.
