Her review of this location was one of many during her GA soulfood restaurant tour. She gave this place rave reviews, and so do I. The entire area smells like backyard BBQ. Walk into a cafeteria style interior. See multiple beautiful ladies smiling, telling you "welcome in" and ready to fix your plate. You get to the register where you can get drinks or dessert, whatever else you want, and pay. You walk out onto a covered screened in pavilion type area with picnic tables if you want to eat out there. I saw lots of people getting their food and leaving. Customer service was amazing! The lines move quick, the regulars know what they want. The food was front and center, and they ask you if it's your first time in If you look clueless like we did. They were so nice in explaining the meals. Other food I remember seeing: yams, Grilled chicken, yellow rice, white rice, oxtails, MacNcheese, smoked chicken salad, pasta salad, potato salad, red velvet cake, peach cobbler, and other foods I can't recall. I don't remember seeing a restroom for guests. The interior was rather small. We sat outside, and it was really nice in the sitting area. I honestly enjoyed my entire visit. From customer service to the food, just perfect. I drove an hour and 10minutes to get here, and would gladly do it again. The two meals pictured plus two slices red velvet cake, 2 canned sodas, and a small side of potato salad (not shown) came up to $50 before the tip we added. The hours posted on google seem to be accurate. If you're ever in Thomasville GA, and you feel like some authentic soulfood: this will be your stop.

As we were standing in line and explaining that it was our first time trying this place, several testimonials were shared with us from some of the folks in line! LOL! The usual order consists of a choice of meats, two sides and bread. There is also dessert available (on the day we went, the choices were Red Velvet Cake and Banana Pudding). The eating area is outside on picnic style tables. As we were eating, one of the owners came out to check on us/to make sure we were enjoying the food, which speaks to the great customer service. It was quite tasty. I will definitely drive thru again. I'd like to try a chicken finger plate or their hot dogs. The breakfast options seem pretty good too.
