Looked it over, walked in & out. Looked like a shack, but some of the best bbq we have ever had was from a roadside shanty. We weren't vibing, so we looked further. Best choice ever! On the main street thru town, Woodstack presents as a warm country home. Entering we were immediately met with sincere southern hospitality. We sat in the large dining room, which has homey feel. Connected is a large bar area with tables as well, which was packed at 2pm on a Sunday (they close at 3 on Sundays) Extensive menu of bbq! Tough making choices. I had pulled chicken with crispy Brussel sprouts that feature a maple glaze. Person with me had brisket. We ordered, hot plate of deliciousness was before us in under 10 minutes. Everything piping hot, bursting with flavor and generously portioned. My sides: the mac & cheese was best I have ever had! And the crispy brussels were amazing. So much chicken, could not finish it. Juicy, smoky flavor. And their sauces are amazing compliment, although it did not need it! Brisket also tender, smoky & delicious. Only thing I did not enjoy was the slab of bread. Personally I think it should be toasted. Didn't touch it. The pickled garnish..try it! WOW!!! Pickles, carrots & onions. I wish there was more. Food was phenomenal. Service was fast & friendly. This was a pitstop on a roadtrip, and we were in & out so quick with bellies full and some leftovers. This particular roadtrip is going to happen multiple times a year for a while. We were seated right away and started with the jumbo onion rings--they were cooked perfectly and tasted so good dipped in the BBQ sauce. I had the sausage with mac & cheese and fries. The mac & cheese was amazing (the consistency was spot on) and the fries are super unique because they use their meat rub on them. My partner got the brisket plate with coleslaw and sweet potato; the brisket was nice and lean. Even the kids were happy! They had the child's sausage and pulled pork plates. The atmosphere is totally kid-friendly and our waitress was outstanding. We'll definitely be back!

Her review of this location was one of many during her GA soulfood restaurant tour. She gave this place rave reviews, and so do I. The entire area smells like backyard BBQ. Walk into a cafeteria style interior. See multiple beautiful ladies smiling, telling you "welcome in" and ready to fix your plate. You get to the register where you can get drinks or dessert, whatever else you want, and pay. You walk out onto a covered screened in pavilion type area with picnic tables if you want to eat out there. I saw lots of people getting their food and leaving. Customer service was amazing! The lines move quick, the regulars know what they want. The food was front and center, and they ask you if it's your first time in If you look clueless like we did. They were so nice in explaining the meals. Other food I remember seeing: yams, Grilled chicken, yellow rice, white rice, oxtails, MacNcheese, smoked chicken salad, pasta salad, potato salad, red velvet cake, peach cobbler, and other foods I can't recall. I don't remember seeing a restroom for guests. The interior was rather small. We sat outside, and it was really nice in the sitting area. I honestly enjoyed my entire visit. From customer service to the food, just perfect. I drove an hour and 10minutes to get here, and would gladly do it again. The two meals pictured plus two slices red velvet cake, 2 canned sodas, and a small side of potato salad (not shown) came up to $50 before the tip we added. The hours posted on google seem to be accurate. If you're ever in Thomasville GA, and you feel like some authentic soulfood: this will be your stop.

The eating area is outside on picnic style tables. As we were eating, one of the owners came out to check on us/to make sure we were enjoying the food, which speaks to the great customer service. The food was exceptional. I had a grit bowl, which consisted of cheese grits, covered with sausage and bacon, along with a cheese sauce covered with two eggs over easy. Wow, what a flavor bomb. With the added butter and toasted on the grill biscuit, it was perfect. The wife had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit with a side of grits, which was perfect as well. The service was great.
