The food was exceptional. I had a grit bowl, which consisted of cheese grits, covered with sausage and bacon, along with a cheese sauce covered with two eggs over easy. Wow, what a flavor bomb. With the added butter and toasted on the grill biscuit, it was perfect. The wife had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit with a side of grits, which was perfect as well. The service was great. A spring break trip to Thomasville, Ga. took us to Qs cafe in the downtown district. The place was nice and busy at lunchtime, but they waited on us, and we were served pretty quickly. Dawn had the farmer's pride omelet and I settled on the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Everything was great, well seasoned, and cooked nicely. The restaurant is well lighted and clean; the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Prices are good for the area. We would definitely recommend Q's Cafe! read more

This place is in the heart of Downtown Thomasville. We got there about an hour before they closed and there was a 40 minute wait, so I was expecting greatness. I wasn't disappointed. The waitress had good suggestions based on portion sizes and what she thought the best dishes were. I got the (Not So) Little Piggy B, which is a pork sausage, egg and sausage gravy on a cat head biscuit. This was SO GOOD! And HUGE!! My BF got the Gringo omelette with home fries. He said the home fries were not messing around, they were so good. The omelette was a 3 egg omelette, and was a pretty good size. The ambiance was cute. My wife and I have been living in Thomasville for about 3 years now. We have been somewhat regulars at Q's until recently. We decided to go on a saturday morning which we knew would be packed but for the most part the lines go fast. We went inside there was no host there. we were standing infront. we saw a staff who looked latina. She looked at us and didn't say anything. an older white woman cut us and she acknowledged her. my wife and i looked at each other and left. even the other people who were sitting there waiting looked at us and shook their heads. Q's needs to train the newbies better as far as customer service goes. all it takes is one time for us. we won't be back there again. read more

The restaurant has a welcome atmosphere... very cozy and appears to be in the heart of Thomasville. The wait was a bit long but that is expected in a town with very few options. After we were seated and greeted, I had a chance to view dishes being served to other customers and they looked inviting and delicious. When our food came, my bacon was burnt (black) on one side and matted together... the toast was barely brown and eggs (scrambled) was by far over-cooked. There was also issues with my wife's food. I started to complain but then, I thought about other issues. Thomasville is a town that is 52% black and no one seated or waiting was black; in addition, none of the waiters were black either. I stopped at CVS and asked a woman just leaving if she was from Thomasville and she was. I asked about the cafe and she said black people don't go there. My experience may have been coincidental given our visiting the restaurant for the first time... however, I am left with concerns about who the restaurant would prefer to cater to. read more

Absolutely amazing service! The ladies here make you feel like family! The food is super heavy, but it's filling. You get a lot of food for the money, and we almost always take home leftovers. It's a bit loud, but that's expected. Think of it like the noise of a family reunion--dialed back a few notches. People gather here with friends, family, business meals, and so much more. My go-to meal is two blueberry jalapeño pancakes with two medium poached eggs (yellow still runny, but white fully cooked). Growing up in Thomasville, I'd occasionally heard people rave about Q Cafe, but it wasn't until recently that I checked it out for myself. It's for sure one of the best breakfast/brunch options in this small town. Everything tastes locally sourced and has a homey vibe. Now that I currently reside in a more populous city, I wholeheartedly appreciate the businesses like Q Cafe whose prices are very reasonable. This place is the BOMB DOT COM!!! I eat here all the time! It's one of those brekky/lunch spots that I always bring my out of town guests to. Service is excellent. Never had anything on the menu that didn't leave me salivating for more. I'm a difficult customer that always needs some sort of adjustment, and they handle all my requests with ease! Starving? They'll have food to your table within 10-15 minutes of your arrival. They're always busy, but still there are never wait times with food. As someone who spent a decent part of her professional career running bars and restaurants, I can tell you I honestly have no f*%king clue how they do it! Eat the food. You won't regret it. I never do! *ps- try the hollandaise sauce. It's always fluffy, never a runny congealing excuse for a gourmet sauce. 10/10 cannot recommend it enough! read more

Ate breakfast here before going to a fsu football game. There was a small wait but nothing bad. As it turned out it was well worth the wait. The food was absolutely fantastic. We had the chicken skillet and the big boy skillet with a side of sausage gravy and a biscuit. Everything was really delicious. We went to Q Cafe for breakfast and it did not disappoint. It was centrally located off Broad and the wait was relatively short. We popped next door to shop and our name was called shortly after. We each got the short stacked pancakes and I substituted the eggs for cheese grits (so good). Their biscuits were tempting but we weren't ready to commit to that much food. Only caveat, it was pretty warm in the restaurant (rightfully so with their busy kitchen) - so we skipped the hot coffee since they didn't have any iced coffee. read more

The Q cafe definitely lives up to its motto of "Quality life" They are known for their gigantic biscuits (as big as my hand) and various breakfast. They have sandwiches and burgers as well for lunch goers. I had the crab cake sandwich and a co worker had a burger. It wasn't too salty or thin. Had a good amount of real crab too!! HATE it when we get a wimpy crab patty. The condiment really brings it together and the bread is nicely toasted. Only thing I didn't touch, the chicken salad wasn't to my liking, it had a sour smell and taste (not spoiled) maybe they added mustard? Or vinegar? Service is a well oiled machine there. All in all very good place .. .whether you are local or passing through. I would recommend coming here a bit early. Though there is plenty of free street and back lot areas, parking can be limited due to the amount of restaurants sharing the same spots. read more

I am not sure why it took me so long to find this place but I'm glad I did. Each time, I'm greeted with a friendly face and get promptly seated with hardly any time to read the special board. The daily specials range from crab cakes topped with shrimp and a creole sauce over homemade mashed potatoes to brisket burgers. I've had a few things here but the breakfasts look amazing. I'm more of a lunch person. Today, it was lightly grilled Cobia over a broccoli bacon cornbread with romalude sauce with a side salad. The sauce had shrimp and crab and was expertly flavored The combination of fish and cornbread was very original. The honey mustard dressing looks and taste homemade. This restaurant is named Q for quality. Quality of life. Quality of ingredients and fun with food. Do yourself a favor. Choose this place! It is only open 36 hours per week so their long time employees can have a good quality of life. Went again today for breakfast and had just two eggs, grits, sausage and biscuit with a side of sausage gravy. A friend had an omelet and the other had the best looking grouper sandwich. A few weeks ago I went and had an omelette and a biscuit. I loved them. And I'm giving them 5 stars. The biscuit is good sized and had a good amount of filling. I had it with the biscuit (don't even think of any other bread) and their biscuit remains delicious. Maybe a little smaller than 6 years ago, but still plenty big. Everything on the menu looks great when I've seen it come out of the semi-open kitchen. I love that it's a short and beautiful drive to thomasville to eat at Q. read more

This is such a great spot....I hate that I didn't visit sooner. As with many of my "go to" spots, I found out about them through Yelp. I'd seen people post about the cafe but never took the time to make the drive from Tallahassee. Don't make the same mistake I did. It is totally worth it. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. We arrived shortly after noon on a Saturday. It is located in the heart of downtown so parking can take a minute to find. This is a small, quaint cafe with a nice family feel to it. The menu is a decent size with enough options to choose something whether you like seafood, pork or if you are a vegetarian. There is also a kids menu with 5 or 6 items on there. The coffee is very smooth and fresh. I got the brisket omelette (which I never had before but it was delicious. The food tastes fo fresh. I was satisfied without feeling heavy and bloated. I didn't take advantage for the biscuit dishes but I hear they are really popular....and they have a "cathead" biscuit which is huge! I will get that next time for sure. The portion size was perfect and the prices were fair. The customer service is excellent. The server was pleasant, down to earth and attentive. The kitchen is somewhat of an open kitchen. They'd run out of fresh fruit so the kitchen manager just asked us through the window what we wanted to substitute. He then asked if our son ate eggs and said "I'm going to throw an egg on the grill for him too." We found that simple gesture to make our dining experience even better. When we left, we had several staff members thank us for coming. The hospitality that this restaurant has is what many places have lost. This is a little home town cafe in downtown Thomasville. I met a friend here to check it out, and I really enjoyed it. They do a good business on Saturdays, and seating is a little tight. The service was prompt and attentive. We had to try the candied bacon pancakes. They were pretty good considering I'm not usually a fan of that combo. The cheese grits were delicious as were the eggs and coffee. The lighting is bright inside. The restroom was clean. The prices were reasonable. I will definitely return. read more

We were seated quickly and greeted as fast by our server with waters (which had the same funky water taste I get in several Tallahassee establishments). Coffee was good and I ordered the Nona's Country B, which turned out to be enormous. The biscuit was the size of a large rock, and weighed what seemed to be a pound. The food was good, could have used an additional bit of seasoning, but that was remedied at the table. My daughter ordered the "Little Bit of Chicken Fried", again good, but the gravy was a bit thin and light on flavor. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here on a Saturday morning. I was looking for a local place for breakfast, rather than a chain (Waffle House) or fast food (McD's) and this is one of the few options. I can see why there is a wait at breakfast time. They have wonderful roll like biscuits available instead of the usual toast and I fully recommend that option. I tried their Three Piggy omelet special for the day and it was delicious with ham, bacon and sausage. My wife had a basic breakfast and enjoyed hers as well. It is not a huge space, but service is quick and friendly and food was delivered in a timely manner. We now have a place for breakfast when we are in Thomasville. read more

Holy biscuits! This place is (according to the waitress) best known for their giant biscuits and they sure didn't disappoint! We had heard good things about this diner so we decided to stop by. I got a breakfast burrito sans cheese sauce and my fiancé got the jumbo biscuit fried chicken sandwich and one of their bacon pancakes (he's clearly watching his figure) and they were all very tasty. The home fries were good, I've had better and crispier but they weren't bad and the burrito had good flavor to it. I definitely recommend having some of their house-made hot sauce because it was so good! I didn't get to try the biscuit or pancake but it received glowing reviews.
