I would love to love this place. The staff was fridndly and attentive. But our meal was mostly disappointing. I had a chicken sandwich in which the breaded chicken was way overcooked and the breading tough and chewy. My wife had breaded chicken tenders/fingers that were also overcooked. But the story I got was, that they originally raised milk cows. They used the grass-based milk that their cows were producing to make handcrafted cheeses. Eventually also opening a restaurant. Loved our experience here!!!! First Friday got a table at 5:30pm. Also was happy hour, we didn't know until we saw our discounted checks! Our server was great. Had a great first visit here during the weekend of Victorian Christmas. This is one of the rare establishments that actually closes later than 9 PM in Thomasville. We had plans to go to another spot but that fell through so thankfully they were able to fit us in. Our waitress was Bri and she was super kind and personable as well as attentive. We ordered the fried cheese curds and the spinach and Brussels dip. Both were OK. I prefered the dip over the curds, if anything. Now onto my entree. I had the archer burger with fries. Everything tasted great. I wish I would've saved my drink to try something there but I already had something at Farmer daughter and I'm limiting myself to one drink and outing. Once again, this local gem delivered an experience that exceeded expectations, despite what can only be described as a Christmas chaos miracle downtown. The town was alive with holiday cheer, streets bustling with people celebrating the season. When we arrived, it was clear that the restaurant was packed to capacity, with a waitlist that might intimidate even the most patient diner. And yet, somehow, the staff, clearly on their A-game, managed to get us a table. What's truly remarkable is that, even amid the controlled madness, the service never faltered. Not once. Every server was hustling yet cheerful, completely unfazed by the nonstop flow of patrons. Plates were flying out of the kitchen with impressive speed, yet each dish retained the thoughtful, superb quality this restaurant has built its reputation on. As for the food... phenomenal, as always. We ordered a mix of classics and favorites: the Taste of Thomasville, the hummus platter, the hamburger, the fried chicken sandwich, the kids' chicken tenders, and the chicken salad sandwich. If you consider yourself a fry connoisseur, their fries are non-negotiable. While I personally wish they had just a touch more crispiness, the flavor is so spot-on that it more than makes up for it. Pair those golden beauties with the house-made dipping sauces... an absolute game-changer. We tried the moo cheesecake tonight. It's more savory than sweet. They topped it with preserves which added a nice balance, but don't expect it to be the sweet cheesecake you're used to picking up pre-made from the grocery store. It was a delightful twist and unexpected surprise. For drinks, I sipped on a couple of their handcrafted cocktails, each as refreshing and well-balanced as the last. It's clear the same care they put into their food extends to the bar menu as well. All in all, this place continues to be one of my favorites in Downtown Thomasville. No matter how hectic or busy it gets, they never miss a beat. Incredible food, thoughtful service, and an energy that makes you feel right at home, what more could you ask for? So delicious we came back twice! We started off with a late lunch with their Rustic Salad and Taste of Thomasville cheese board. The salad had the perfect amount of pickled veggies and a fantastic vinaigrette. The cheese board had a bri, sharp Mediterranean herbed cheese, their signature Thomasville tomme, and pimiento cheese. All were delicious but the pimiento was the star of the show!! We then came back for a late night burger (with the pimiento!) and drinks. The board had prosciutto, various cheeses and jams, as well as some nuts. Yum. As for our entrees, we all got the steak frites. We just all ordered it differently. I first experienced their cheese at Stella's Brassiere in Greenville SC. Sweet grass dairy cheese is included in theartisan cheese board. The Asher's Blue Cheese was so good I had to ask where can I get some. Highly recommend. It is by far the best blue cheese I have ever had. I placed an order when I got home which included another tasty cheese Green hill l. I was crushed when it arrived the ice packs had melted and everything was hot. I notified them and not only did they send a quick replacement they included some other good stuff. I can't wait to try the turbo and the peach bourbon cardamom. Cheeses were delicious as expected. Especially the pimento and the Tomme. Fries were great. Wasn't crazy about the wine list. No real tasting notes for the wines, just cute but ultimately useless catchphrases. Unfortunately the waitstaff also doesn't know much about the wines to describe them to you. As a suggestion, I'd recommend the restaurant put detailed tasting notes on the wine list or train the staff. Also what cheese would pair with which wine would be helpful. A flight of wines with the cheeses would be perfect. I would also like to see poutine on the menu. It's a no brainer with their delicious cheese curds and handmade fries. This place is located on the right side of Board St. It's located right by Kevin's and Kathys. There's plenty of parking on either side of the street. Parking is free. The place is kinda tight. The tables are very close together due to the limited space but it's doable not too overwhelming. The service was amazing. Our server Devin was constantly checking on us and making sure we were comfortable on this busy Sunday. The wait time wasn't too long and the food was perfect! There's a corner area where you can buy their cheeses. Their menu was limited due to Sunday Brunch. They had several good options. I got the fried chicken sammy sandwich with fries and I asked for the sandwich to be buffalo styled to make it a little spicy. It was absolutely delicious!!! This is a must try place in Thomasville. We took my father in law when visiting this weekend and he was so impressed, he can't wait to move to Tallahassee now! I have never had anything bad here and the service is always great. It gets busy so be prepared to wait but they will put you on the list and conveniently give you a call when ready so you can walk through downtown or grab a beer next door at Billiards while waiting. Went on a Friday night around 6 just for a drink. We were seated at the bar, and despite them being very busy, the bartender welcomed us and immediately took our drink order. We also ordered cheese curds because, well, we were at a cheese shop. The wine was delicious, but the cheese curds, wow. Amazing. The ranch they were served with was very fresh and tangy. I don't know if I liked the ranch or curds more! They were also served with a Buffalo sauce, which I had never thought about before. It was spicy and a very nice dipping sauce. We absolutely LOVE Sweet Grass. We had some family that lived in Thomasville for several years, and we'd go to Sweet Grass 2-3 times each time we visited. I love Sweet Grass so much that we legitimately drove three hours to visit. I love how cute downtown Thomasville is. When we arrived there was a 45 minute wait for lunch but there were plenty of cute boutiques near by to kill the time. Our wait only ended up being about 20 minutes. BF has celiac so he was super excited by all the gluten free options and the gluten free fryer. We ordered an old fashioned & a margarita to drink. We decided to share the half cheese board of Taste of Thomasville. We really loved all of the cheeses and jams to pair. We weren't a fan of the GF crackers because they were so flavorful it took away from the taste of the cheese. We also ordered their crispy brussel sprouts, chicken wings & GF mac with bacon. We really loved everything but the wings were our absolute favorite! The provide the sauces on the side so you can enjoy them how you like. We literally enjoyed our lunch so much that we returned for dinner. This time we had DJ as our server, she was AMAZING! She had a great personality & you could tell she loved her job.
