    The Whole Shebang

Liam's, a place so nice we ate there twice. We were on a shopping trip in Thomasville and stopped in for an early dinner. Brian, our server, is also a certified sommelier, and his wine suggestions to accompany The Whole Shebang were spot on. We enjoyed our meal so much that we went back the next Friday with friends. The ambiance is straight out of Europe, and it was decorated beautifully for the holidays.

The flavor was good. This is a place to get small plates. Service was friendly and prompt. My only thing is have an option for a sirloin steak. The best thing on the menu was yellow tail.

Originally we were at Jonah's Fish and Grits when we were told they don't serve alcohol and to partake alcohol at nearby Liam's, so well, we did just that. While we waited to be called in for our reservation, we went to the bar at Liam's and had a drink each. I had Maker's Mark neat, my companions had beer and a pair of cocktails whose names escape me. We had great service and the drinks were done right. Honestly I think the only thing I can say anything negative of is the décor. They had a cat that looked high that completely creeped me out as I drank.

This place is special. I can't adequately explain it...you have to feel it for yourself, but Rhonda has just really "hit" it. The drinks were amazing, the staff were lovely and seemed genuinely happy to be there themselves; we felt instantly welcomed and at home. We had a drink, circled the town and returned for dinner and more drinks. The pork shank was delish and the corn fritters...amazing. I hear the menu changes weekly and I imagine it's all wonderful. Specials thank you to the Becca's (tall and small) for their hospitality and drink design. This is a must do. Thanks you Liam's.

Came here for my sister's graduation, it was a nice place to sit, relax, and chat after a hectic day. The food came out in a timely manner so that was a plus too. I didn't enjoy the veal that I ordered but everything else was delicious, especially the Whole Shebang Charcuterie Board. Keep in mind that this place serves items that are small plates to share!

The Food Was Fabulous I Will Never Go Back. I had 1 beer (a delicious breakfast stout), one 10 oz Porkchop and half a cup of mashed potatoes. With taxes and tip it cost me $40. Service and ambiance were nice. The food was fantastic. There was embarrassingly little of it. Bread while I waited, a salad and the volume of a medium potatoe would have completely changed my experience. After dinner I walked around the corner to the pool hall for a PBR and a couple of chili dogs to muster the strength to go back to the hotel and sleep.

I used to travel to Thomasville a bit for work and would always love stopping by Liam's for a nice after work happy hour. We decided to make a weekend trip to really enjoy the town. I was shocked when we found out they have happy hour on Saturday's from 5-7pm!! That's unheard of! We had some pre-dinner drinks here. They have a to die for old fashioned that's only $8 during HH. We ended with Eagle Rare on a gentleman's cube with a twist and it was only $6! I'm blown away and can't wait to come back already! We sat at the bar & really enjoyed the dark but sexy vibes of the lounge area. Highly recommend!!!

This spot is our favorite retreat! The specialized cocktails and exceptional bar menu are unmatched! The charcuterie tray is like none other in the area! Shout out to both Bruce & Graham! Top notch bar tenders with on point attention to detail and recommendations, when requested!

The ambience is great. The steak was one of the best I have eaten. The mashed potatoes were outstanding as well.

Nice surroundings but very much overpriced. If you really want to waste your money, go to this restaurant.

Given that it was graduation weekend, we tried to give them some grace--but by the time we left, we were still hungry and pretty frustrated. After being seated, it took over 15 minutes for our server to take our drink order. She did mention she needed a few minutes, but 15+ felt excessive. Our appetizers even came out before my parents' wine arrived. We ordered the lamb meatballs and deviled eggs--both were just okay, but overall lacked flavor. Our apps arrived around 7:45 PM, and we placed our entrées shortly after. During the long gap between apps and dinner, we witnessed a few tense interactions between the host who seated us and our server. The host came across as very abrupt and rude, and honestly, we felt for our server in that moment. Our entrées didn't arrive until around 9 PM. While our server stopped by a few times to apologize and say the food would be out soon, we noticed multiple tables who were seated after us receiving their meals first--which was frustrating, especially as we were getting really hungry. We were close to leaving when our food finally arrived. The French onion soup had virtually no flavor--it was so disappointing I didn't eat it. I mentioned it to the server, and while she apologized, it wasn't removed from the bill despite clearly being untouched. The risotto was fine but again lacked flavor. The only somewhat enjoyable dish was my brother's chicken pesto, but even that came out room temperature. Overall, it was a disappointing experience--especially for what was supposed to be a celebratory dinner.

Because of this, I wasn't inspired to try the rack of lamb as well. I ordered a Caesar salad. It looked delicious, but I also found it to be fair to middling- especially since it had homemade anchovy dressing. I was expecting way more flavor. My friend got the tenderloin and enjoyed his meal more. I really enjoyed his green beans, enough to order my own side. The fries were good as well. The service was fine. All in all, I don't think I would go here again.

The host was so excited and when a restaurant asks that you expect something fun for the graduation but nothing happened. Not a fun dessert, a fun plate with writing, a card, nothing. Highly disappointed fora white tablecloth restaurant. I would not recommend coming to celebrate here for that reason alone. Drinks took a while to come out. We were on the patio and our server was all over the place due to the table next to us being rude and picky to him. Delicious food though! My first time here even though I lived in Tallahassee for 4 years. The cornbread that was with the burnt ends... the best cornbread I've had in my life. Incredible. The barrington (ribs with corn) was delicious as well. Overall great food, okay atmosphere, okay service.

The ingredients are fresh, and even some of their signature items have been updated and upgraded here and there with no complaints. However, I ordered a cinnamon roll for the first time in a while thinking it would be the same size as before and it has shrunk by more than half. It's a little disappointing to see the portion size be so drastically different than what I remembered. Taste wise it's still great, but I only got it thinking that it would be the huge cinnamon roll that I was used to. I was better off going to Cinnabon in the mall. Also, the prices are not updated on the website.

The coffee was a little too weak for our liking, despite the fact that she assured us she would put in three shots of espresso. But we were not impressed! Maybe they need to check their beans! As the town doesn't have much else going for it! That cafe gave the town character and it is sorely needed there! If you are reading this review because you are wondering if it is worth the consideration, indeed it is. Moruna treated us with kindness and patience for a 5-member group, and not knowing our situation. The cozy environment was perfect for some intimate chat. The food and coffee were excellent, quite possibly the tastiest croissant sandwich I've ever had (ham, swiss, and local figs). I loved it so much I was planning on returning the next day on my drive back to Miami from Tallahassee (sadly not open on Sundays). Moruna was especially sweet to offer us some coffee on the house when she learned of the situation with the funeral and our long drives coming up. I absolutely did not expect this level of service, fantastic options, or tasty food; but our entire party was very impressed and happy for the quiet moment in a long day. Needless to say, I definitely asked for a second croissant to go for future consumption. I'm sad I will not be able to frequent this café, but definitely looking forward to stopping in next time I'm travelling the I-10.
