The flavor was good. This is a place to get small plates. Service was friendly and prompt. My only thing is have an option for a sirloin steak. The best thing on the menu was yellow tail.

Liam's food and drink.

Originally we were at Jonah's Fish and Grits when we were told they don't serve alcohol and to partake alcohol at nearby Liam's, so well, we did just that. While we waited to be called in for our reservation, we went to the bar at Liam's and had a drink each. I had Maker's Mark neat, my companions had beer and a pair of cocktails whose names escape me. We had great service and the drinks were done right. Honestly I think the only thing I can say anything negative of is the décor. They had a cat that looked high that completely creeped me out as I drank.

Where the Wild Things Are bar taps...what?!

This place is special. I can't adequately explain it...you have to feel it for yourself, but Rhonda has just really "hit" it. The drinks were amazing, the staff were lovely and seemed genuinely happy to be there themselves; we felt instantly welcomed and at home. We had a drink, circled the town and returned for dinner and more drinks. The pork shank was delish and the corn fritters...amazing. I hear the menu changes weekly and I imagine it's all wonderful. Specials thank you to the Becca's (tall and small) for their hospitality and drink design. This is a must do. Thanks you Liam's.

Whole shebang Charcuterie

Came here for my sister's graduation, it was a nice place to sit, relax, and chat after a hectic day. The food came out in a timely manner so that was a plus too. I didn't enjoy the veal that I ordered but everything else was delicious, especially the Whole Shebang Charcuterie Board. Keep in mind that this place serves items that are small plates to share!

Tonight we had *charcuterie ( tour of three meats, mustards, house pickled vegetables * sauvignon blanc " better half" Excellent service, and fantastic environment!

Pork Chop and Mashed Potatoes.

The Food Was Fabulous I Will Never Go Back. I had 1 beer (a delicious breakfast stout), one 10 oz Porkchop and half a cup of mashed potatoes. With taxes and tip it cost me $40. Service and ambiance were nice. The food was fantastic. There was embarrassingly little of it. Bread while I waited, a salad and the volume of a medium potatoe would have completely changed my experience. After dinner I walked around the corner to the pool hall for a PBR and a couple of chili dogs to muster the strength to go back to the hotel and sleep.

I used to travel to Thomasville a bit for work and would always love stopping by Liam's for a nice after work happy hour. We decided to make a weekend trip to really enjoy the town. I was shocked when we found out they have happy hour on Saturday's from 5-7pm!! That's unheard of! We had some pre-dinner drinks here. They have a to die for old fashioned that's only $8 during HH. We ended with Eagle Rare on a gentleman's cube with a twist and it was only $6! I'm blown away and can't wait to come back already! We sat at the bar & really enjoyed the dark but sexy vibes of the lounge area. Highly recommend!!!

This spot is our favorite retreat! The specialized cocktails and exceptional bar menu are unmatched! The charcuterie tray is like none other in the area! Shout out to both Bruce & Graham! Top notch bar tenders with on point attention to detail and recommendations, when requested!

The ambience is great. The steak was one of the best I have eaten. The mashed potatoes were outstanding as well.

Nice surroundings but very much overpriced. If you really want to waste your money, go to this restaurant.

It doesn't get any better than Liam's, It's not cheap but it is the best in Thomasville.

Empire Bagel and Delicatessen - Empire Egg Sandwich

Empire Bagel and Delicatessen

We've heard about Empire for a while but hadn't managed to get there during the morning hours…read more We woke up this morning with a craving for a solid bagel sandwich and took the drive up to Thomasville for what is undoubtably, one of the best breakfast sandwiches we've ever eaten. The line upon arrival was at least 15 to 20 deep, but it moved so quickly. If you arrive to a wait, do not let it deter you. They hustle!!! It was just a short wait for our food to be freshly prepared. We both opted for the same sandwich with different bagel flavors. The sesame bagel was absolutely loaded with sesame seeds. There's nothing worse than a bagel that claims to be a "sesame" bagel that only has a sad smattering of seeds across one side. This bagel was absolutely loaded up. Crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside, loaded with a huge portion of scrambled egg , this breakfast sandwich was enough for two people to share, but we did not! I would literally drive up to Thomasville from Tallahassee again just for the sandwich. You cannot beat their price point. This breakfast would be twice as much in Tallahassee as it is at Empire. Empire has a quaint, local NY bagel shop vibe. You can order bagels for the office or just a sack to take home. The assorted smears have something for everyone, with Canoli flavor being a bonus for your sweet tooth. I'm already planning a lunch trip in the near future.

They make their own bagels fresh daily and have many delicious shmears to choose from. The 'Brunchwrap' is my absolute favorite but I always recommend checking out the specials board, you can't go wrong! The 'Billyburg' grilled cheese is my favorite lunch choice along with the pasta salad. You won't be disappointed with this sweet but spicy spin on a classic grilled cheese. We like to sit outside and watch the locals. Its a laid back kind of vibe on the bricks downtown.

Henderson's Restaurant - Cheeseburger and fries

Parking is plentiful and the restaurant has a homestyle feel that makes you feel it's been there for decades. The menu is large, but not so large that it takes more than a single sheet of paper. Henderson's offers breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. They're open from 6 am - 7:30 pm, and are closed on Sunday, as is most of Thomasville. The breakfast offerings include sandwiches, breakfast in a cup and plated meals. The prices range from $3 - 7, with a few higher priced offerings that include steak. Lunch and dinner options include burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, chicken tenders, quesadillas and wings. Most options range between $5 - 8, with a few options up to $16. Henderson's is very budget friendly. Service is pleasant and swift. The dining area is fairly a no-frills interior including long tables, stackable type padded chairs and pastel-colored beadboard walls decorated with some large Grateful Dead framed posters. We ordered a burger and a Philly style Cheesesteak. You order at the counter and they call you when your meal is ready to be picked up. Both were served with crinkle cut fries. The food was fast and filling. I preferred the Philly style Cheesesteak, which was juicy and deliicous! The burger bun was a little dried out. The fries were crispy and hot. If you want a budget meal, you cannot beat Henderson's! Next time, we plan to try a couple breakfast options.

Got their version of BamBam Shrimp on a bed of greens.to start. Presentation was on a bed of chopped iceberg lettuce, no side plates were offered, and we used our single paper napkin to keep our silverware off the table and wipe our mouths. No linen napkins. I did surf n turf, medium well which most kitchens struggle with. No different here, cooked well all the way through. Baked potato was genuinely cool to the touch. Collard greens were excessively seasoned with vinegar. Not good at all. The presentation was shockingly bad, one side on my plate had a rim of black pepper, the other side had a rim of butter from the shrimp, that's my best guess. Shockingly bad. My wife ordered ribeye medium rare. The outer part was well done and the inside was very rare, cook temperature way too high. Baked potato cool to the touch again. From my seat the kitchen looked chaotic and undisciplined, no quality control at the pass at all, no floor manager present anywhere to be seen. Sometimes my view was blocked by employees clocking in to work. This table should be the last to be assigned period. Non culinary folks could find easy ways to improve this place, linen napkins, side plates, hot food, precision cooking etc. The lack of oversight for the food preparation and presentation of the food killed the experience for sure, no supervision or management of the kitchen and food.

French bread toasted and topped with fried oysters, poached eggs, and a Cajun cream sauce. So delicious and perfectly prepared. Bloody Mary paired very well with this dish! French cut pork chop, blackened, and topped with mango chutney! So tender and juicy! I chose collard greens as one side and they have that true southern taste! Red beans and rice as the second side...a personal favorite. We sat outside as it has a great vibe since it's located at an old train depot! If you're lucky a train will pass by while you're dining! Service is nice and servers are very attentive. You can also sit in the Bar Mason and get fabulous service as well and order off of the menu as if you were in the restaurant or sitting outside. Great date night spot for sure!

My server immediately came to the table, brought me an unsweetened tea. I was torn between shrimp n grits or the Parmesan crusted black grouper. My said both were great. I chose the grouper. My entree arrived and it didn't disappoint. A large thick piece of grouper cooked perfectly surrounded by a crispy delicious crust. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and tender with a tasty sweet glaze. The greens were also on point - lots of bacon pieces and a sweet/spicy taste. Lunch came with a large crispy hush puppy. With tip - lunch was $50. A bit pricey - I don't mind paying top dollar for a top quality meal and service. Well done Jonah's!

Not really worth the wait. Decent food. Friendly staff. But nothing super special. For Thomasville, I get it, but I live in Pensacola where there is a place like this on every corner. I had the grouper sandwich (blackened) and the fried green tomatoes for a starter. The FGTs were very good. The sandwich was average except that the ciabatta bun was exceptional. Cheese grits on the side were above average. Brussels sprouts were just like any bistro Brussels sprouts ever (man, I wish this trend would die, but I keep ordering them hoping to be surprised.) The place was PACKED (as usual) but the staff were friendly and attentive. For me, however, this is expected in any restaurant. Therefore: 3 stars for decent - if unimaginative- food and good service. Will not come back unless there is no line ... albeit an unlikely scenario.
