This place has zero quality control. Overcooked French fries. The spaghetti is 13 dollars and was a child's portion of old noodles and last weeks sauce made me extremely sick didn't even make a dent in my plate. My husband said box it up he'll eat it later. Well he threw it away and told me to never be okay with quality that low. I was just being polite by not saying anything but we definitely should have sent it back it was inedible. Their sandwiches are okay but greasy as all hell and I'm not sure what they serve on your plate more water or food but both my salad and spaghetti was flooded. Service is non existent here so order when she first comes to greet you or she'll never be back. We sometimes go to this place just because it's convenient but I don't think we'll be back since it's not really convenient to have crap over price inedible food and even worse service. This place is WACK. First off, the owner always has a miserable look on her face. On two separate occasions, she berated or embarrassed one of her staff in front of customers. I find this behavior highly unbecoming of a restauranteur, or proprietor. Secondly....the food is mediocre AT BEST. if you want greasy, over-cooked bland tasting diner food - then this greasy spoon is for YOU. The last meal I had there was their "all you can eat" fish and chips. The fish (obviously frozen) was not that good. The "chips" were just run of the mill french fries. Not impressed. I had meatloaf there a couple of times. Again....BLAND, with little to no flavor. Mimi's Cafe has a far superior meatloaf. Even Denny's meatloaf is better. Dine here at your own risk. We popped into Fallbrook today to see a friend. It was after lunchtime and we were hungry so I looked around on yelp and found Fallbrook Cafe. We were so happy they were open for dine in. The cafe itself is unassuming and away from all the hubbub of the quaint little town. We were greeted right away by friendly servers. I noticed the place was very clean and they had put plexiglass up between the booths for social distancing. On to the food. I had the Fallbrook Cafe Sandwich. It was delicious! Grilled, buttery sourdough packed with veggies and melted Swiss cheese. My daughter ate a burger with pineapples and my husband had a grilled chicken sandwich. They both raved over their choices. We love getting hot sandwiches here from time to time. We usually split one bought on curbside pickup and then have a salad and fresh fruit with it. They are generous with the garnishes too. Even though we use contact-free curbside pickup by putting our card under the windshield wiper and having them put our food on the hood of the car, we really enjoy the staff here. They are very pleasant on the phone when ordering and very nice to see in person. If you eat restaurant food regularly, stop by here too. This is a good place to keep in business, even when eat-in dining is not permitted due to the pandemic. read more

Haven't been to this place in years, It use to have amazing home cooked food, great portions at a good price, because of that the atmosphere and decor was easy to overlook but my last two visit have been nothing short of a disaster, starting with very rude owners (staff that seemed afraid of them) over priced mediocre food and the same outdated decor that didn't look all that clean, my recommendation would be to skip this place and head to Denny's you'll get better food at a better price, with a better atmosphere and definitely better service. read more

I love this cafe and I eat here very frequently. However, on my visit on 9/11/19, one of the waitresses asked to see my tattoos, and then told me in her day it wasn't proper and called one of my tattoos "different and interesting" while nervously laughing. Awesome waffles and I love the just eggs with wheat toast and fresh fruit, but that alone can't compensate for the weird awkward costumer service. This PLace Blows...If It wasnt for the big guy who manages and a couple of nice waitresses(not the owners daughters) it would be a joke. The plain and generic tasting food is the result of greedy owners who use inferior products.YUK!!!! The husband and wife team who own this are ....well lets say... not nice! The chicken pot pies are delicious, but that is the highlight. This is a place where the good ole boys hang out. Rumors of racism persist. I had a very odd experience there. Once, while enjoying a quiet lunch with a friend, I thought somebody was going to beat me up for parking at a right angle--even with the painted blue handicapped lines, instead of the older, angled parking lines. I've enjoyed everything I've eaten from here. I try to research the items in advance. My eating partner has occasionally said their meal was average rather than great. The staff is very kind and friendly, and this is a popular place. Definitely get curbside pickup here during the pandemic. They make a great Reuben, and they'll deliver it to you in the parking lot if you want. I put my card under the windshield wiper and have them run it and bring me my food to put on my hood. I don't take chances. That way, they get my business, I get a Reuben, and nobody gets COVID-19. Remember to tip as though you were in the restaurant. Keep our restaurants afloat! read more

First visit since moving to Fallbrook. Waitstaff exceptionally friendly and efficient. Enjoyed being able to choose to sit at the counter vs. waiting as it was busy. Food was tasty and very plentiful. Good old time diner atmostphere. read more
