My husband and I stopped in for breakfast yesterday. This is our kind of place. When we are traveling we eat where the locals eat. Great service and good food. I was fortunate enough to stumble on this little gem of a cafe after staying in Fallbrook one night. We were looking for breakfast and we walked in, and were pleasantly surprised at this great cafe. Tea pots on the walls, friendly staff, and good food. We had the breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy and hash browns. All in all, it was a great experience with an even better ambiance. Great, great, great! We waited only a short time to be seated for our group of 11. Very accommodating. The service was spot on and the food was delicious. I ordered the veggie burrito with out egg or cheese, got a side of salsa and some cholula hot sauce and it was perfect. I like spicy and their salsa was super mild. Elise was our server (hope I spelt that correctly) She was quick and handled our group alone and took care of every big and small request! You rock, thank you! Every plate was empty when we left, including all the kids. I'm guessing that is a great sign. The coffee was HOT and refilled frequently also. The bill at the end was super fair for the meal. Is it the best food in the world? No. But it's pretty darn consistent in being good regardless of what you get. Though one thing very key is whether or not regulars are there at the same time as you, the waitresses can get chatty and neglect the other tables. read more

While in town tonight not knowing where to go out to eat we decided to take a chance at Fallbrook Cafe...we are so happy we did...we were pleasantly greeted, the restaurant was clean, and the food was ALL fresh and delicious. I had chicken pot pie and salad..amazingly tasty! The Homemade thousand island dressing was a treat. And don't forget the mint chip ice cream topped the night off wonderfully. We have gone there for years to eat and it was good. But since the owners are hardly ever there now as they are in Orange County, the place to us has gone down hill. We ordered two hamburgers, one being a combo. we asked for med rare. The cook cooked the H out if and the meat patty's so thin. Not appetizing at all and the rolls with seeds were tough and stale. Staff did not seem to care. They have raised their prices and are just not worth it. After many years of going there we are so done. Do yourself a favor and go to Rainbow Oaks Cafe. Best food ever and cheaper. I'd give it a ZERO star if there was one. My husband as well. read more

The review that said only 5 parking spots is just ridiculous AND WRONG and obviously didn't drive around the building like they claim. Seems like some people make crap up in their reviews. Great afternoon specials 2pm-5pm. Diner style, casual atmosphere. The Greek salad is really really good and large enough for 2 peeps. All you can eat Fish 'N Chips on Fridays. Decent portions. Went with the whole family for fathers day and the owner was rude and confrontational. We asked for a different server to avoid her and she came out and got into our face and proceeded to let us have it with both barrels-no one else thinks she is rude etc.... the food was iffy. Everytime we're at Fallbrook we always have breakfast at the fallbrook cafe. We always order chocolate chip pancakes, omellette and a side of their burger patty. We usually almost always get a side of patty when we have breakfast and this place always cooks it right. We love our patties medium rare and most places get it wrong.
