Ok, I don't usually know if places that have almost all 5-star reviews are going to live up to their hype but this place does!!! Tiny little shop off the beaten path with thee nicest guys running it and making the food. They clearly love what they do. The food is great, there is a cute little patio in the back looking at the waterfront and the bathroom is clean. We tried a falafel wrap, a falafel plate, and the lamb rolls. My kids loved their wrap, my plate was great. Husband really enjoyed the lamb. Between the four of us, I think we tried all the sides except the cauliflower and everyone loved their choices. None of us can think of anything bad to say about this place (and we can be a little picky). As a vegetarian, there were so many choices I could enjoy. We finished off with the Turkish coffee, malabi, and a cupcake. For me, the desserts were good. The cupcakes were nothing special but were good. Malabi was very interesting and I enjoyed it (plus it looked cool!). Coffee is very strong but for those wanting a big boost of caffeine, go for it! read more

Hidden Treasure! You will love the smooth, delicate hummus, the tasty careful spicing of the chicken thighs over turmeric rice, fresh ever-so-soft pita bread and the rosewater custard dessert to die for. They really are doing a great job here and so very, very friendly, welcoming and caring. If the great food isn't enough, their spot right on the water's edge of the King Salmon canal with outdoor seating is sublime, if a bit weathered and worn. Beautiful setting. Reasonable prices. The owner is super nice, was just him and another cook working but food came out quick for as many tickets that walked in the door. We had two falafelove plates with different sides on each to try as much as we could our first visit. Great quality and crisp clean flavors. The beets had a refreshing brightness and clear lemon flavor, falafel were crisp and made to order, the green shug is an absolute must. I would put that stuff on everything! So good! I ate here for the first time today because of a fabulous recommendation from a famous friend of mine, Tomaso. He is a trained chef and former restaurant Owner in Humboldt county. I got the pita wrap, and the woman that helped me pick out my sides was just fabulous. I just wanted to eat one bite before I left for home, but found myself eating, almost half of the wrap before I left the parking lot! It was that good! Well, me plus 5 went there today because my daughter wanted to try it out. They did not disappoint. WOW. The choices covered all our tastes, the prices made them affordable, and the food was to come back for. My falafel wrap with hummus and medi mix (sorry I forgot the name) was a perfect wrap. The flavors complemented each other and their falafels are fresh and tasty. Besides that we had the fish platter, falafel platter, and 2 chicken platters. Their Baba Ganoush, spiced carrots, hummus, pickled beets, and rice were all eaten up. Everyone loved the food and their portions were the right size. I got the chicken thigh plate and rockfish plate to go. Sides were medi pico, spicy carrots, cauliflower, beets, peppers and some of the homemade pita bread. WOW this food was so good I practically inhaled my plate. Everything was spiced perfectly and love the tumeric rice! Will be making this a regular on my takeout rotation. Wow. Felt like I was on vacation here - it was a beautiful day, sat outside alongside a pier that I didn't expect to see. Watched wildlife and quiet boats come to dock. So serene. Meanwhile the food was excellent (light, healthy, filling).
