I went to see Dr. Daza for the first time today after over 10 years of not seeing an optometrist for my eyes! The experience at Fairway Park Optometry center was amazing. I would choose this location as my permanent optometry office because of how friendly everyone is and how well-equipped they are for any optometry needs! Coming to Fairway Park, I have noticed how outdated my previous office was as I never had my eye health checked but within an hour at this office, I was able to have my perscription, eye health was checked, and picked out new frames all while having great conversations. I hardly ever leave reviews, but this place truly deserves the effort. I hadn't had my eyes checked in over 20 years, and this visit was so pleasant that I might just make it a yearly thing. I live just a few minutes from here, but it was my first time coming here so I called and booked my appointment here for my annual eye exam. Arrived on time and Clarissa at the counter checked me in. Within a few minutes, Carmila directed me to and conducted the machine based tests. She was super nice and very knowledgeable. After this I waited a few minutes to be called by doctor Doza who conducted the eye exam in a very detailed fashion. This included testing for glaucoma and checking the optic nerve and vessels visually. Also it is great that she has a nice personality, that's super friendly and kind. She also recommended a wellness scan which was only an additional $39 and gives a more detailed look inside the eye. I believe health is always worth the cost especially if the cost is pretty affordable, so I said yes and Carmila administered the respective test, after which the doctor went over the results with me. Also Clarissa did quick work of pricing some frame options that I might like. However, I ended up not choosing any because I have a sustainable company that I prefer to buy from. When I mentioned that to Clarissa she was kind enough to understand. Also she promptly emailed me my prescription. Thanks a lot Clarissa. Another plus was that my limited FSA debit card was accepted here without any issues. All in all this is my favorite and to be my regular optometrist place. I felt like my eyes were truly given the care and time that they needed here. My only regret is not choosing this place years ago. A huge shout out to Dr.Doza, Carmila, Clarissa. Tests done: Using Machine: Peripheral Vision Test with the clicker Eye focus measurement (don't know the official name, but it's the equipment that autofocuses the image to your eye) Digital Lens imaging: For Imaging the back of the eye and Optical Coherence Tomography (part of $39 add-on wellness scan) Doctor conducted tests: Glaucoma - with drops - took a tool and went close to the eye to measure Eye dilation - with drops - Meticulously looked at the entire curvature of the back of the eye. Going to the eye doctor is a "routine" experience but my appointment at Fairway Park Optometry Center was way above the norm! They have excellent customer service from start to finish. Everyone was very thorough in explaining each step of the appointment and making sure I was aware of what they were doing. When it came time to select glasses, it felt like a boutique experience with reasonable prices. The person helping me also made sure I was aware of the cost breakdown and all my options. Completely dishonest, fraudulent, shady business, did not disclose fees up front, then gave me bogus fees and a materials fee co pay of $25 that my insurance doesn't even charge and found out it is just coming from this place. Went to another place to find out I was lied to and none of the fees apply. Have lenses covered to have them tell me that I have to still pay for lenses because of enhancements, all lies and then refused to give a print out of my prescription... tried to email it... completely illegal. Tried to force me to decline dilation services when it was included in my exam. Doctor Donna M is very shady too and very fake. They also were rude when I said I had to think about it because of the outrageous costs DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Save yourself the drama and the trouble. They also get attitude when you ask too many questions regarding prices....and got told maybe I should go somewhere else if they don't charge those fees... read more

Dr. Donna Madlangbayan/Wong couldn't handle my case of high prescription myopia. I explained to her that my vision is still blurry after getting my new glasses and she took it personally and thinks that I'm not happy with her service and gave me the sense to go somewhere else. I'm surprised that she wasn't willing to stick for the challenge of getting my vision corrected and accused me instead of not being happy with her service. May be if you could de-personalized yourself you would be able to help your client in a more meaningful way. I was willing to go back for an appointment to fix the problem. Instead, she gave me a prompt refund to shoo me away. Thank you for the refund; one star for yelp. In addition, one of the staff, I think her name is Cassandra, became stand offish. I didn't like the style of communication and service that she was portraying - not courteous and blaming me that there was a crack on the brand new frame when they were the one adjusting it for me. They said that I was holding the frame with one side and that caused the frame to disposition. Really? You blame your customers like that? The frame is supposed to be a good frame and I take care of my glasses. Before you accuse a customer, please check your communication. And, I can't believe she brought up the topic of an insurance fraud out of nowhere to my surprise. Who wants to do that? Is it necessary that you have to mention that to a customer? read more

I've had about 3-4 visits in the past couple of years and I've had nothing but a great experience each time with Dr. Madlangbayan and the rest of the staff. I typically go in for my annual eye exam which goes smoothly each time. Wait times aren't very long and everyone here is friendly. Dr. Madlangbayan is also very clear and coherent when answering any of my questions. My vision isn't horrible so she never pushes me to buy glasses which I appreciate. She's very transparent while still having a very pleasant demeanor. Even if I end up moving somewhere else in the Bay Area, I will most likely stick with her and this office. read more

I am a fairly new patient at Fairway optometry and I already know I'm going to stay there as long as this practice is open. My eye exam was VERY thorough and informative. Both Dr Daza and Dr Madlangbayan are BOTH personable, patient and kind. I got new glasses and ONE MONTH later, my dog chewed up the lenses and frames. (My own fault) The ladies at the office explained to me how I would be able to get a new pair without breaking my bank. I was looking for a place where I could get my eyes checked since they have been feeling dry and blurry and was I'm really glad I found this place. Testing The testing was very thorough, more thorough than other places I've have been. The machines were all in great condition and sanitized right in front of me. Prior to seeing the doctor you go through 3 other tests. The doctor then does multiple tests on top of that, too many to count, she made it very easy to do and what was an hour or so appointment only felt like a few minutes. This is exactly the type of check up I was looking for. Glasses selection I ended up needing 2 pairs of glasses, one for the computer and one for regular stuff. I was very surprised by their selection, they had a lot to choose from which isn't something you can say about a lot of places. Staff Very knowledgeable and welcoming staff, they were great in helping pick out glasses, explaining the different lenses and styles and making sure you got what you liked with no pressure. COVID-19 sanitization They have a very good system for sanitizing everything you touch and all the glasses you try on. From the minute you arrive, you are greeted at the door with questions and a further temperature exam indoor. The machine were all sanitized in front of me. I been going with Dr.Daza since I was like 14. I had stopped going for a couple of years since I had gotten married moved in with my husband, and I had found an optometry close to me, but that was a big mistake since they kept messing up my prescription. Dr.Daza is the BEST!! She explains everything so well, makes me feel like she listens to me and understands me. She recently taught me how to use contact lenses and she was so patient with me since I had long nails on and I was struggling to remove them. I will never stop going here. Totally recommend this optometry office! I have been to quite a few and what I love about this office is that I do not feel pressured to purchase frames nor contacts through the office. I previously experienced at other opto offices being herded into the frames displays and someone hovering over me and forcing me to chose frames when all I wanted was my prescription. I normally get my frames and contacts thru Costco but because of the knowledgeable staff and MDs, I fell in love with the brand TC Charton as the maker of these frames is Asian and understands glasses do not sit properly on my flat nose. These frames are seriously a game changer and the staff recognized immediately that I would benefit from them. Jorge helped me with discovering TC Charton and I do not remember the staff member's name but she had glasses on and is Asian herself and helped adjust my frames during my fitting- this staff member had someone shadowing her to train and I can recognize that all those she will train is being trained by the best of the best! I have grown to love wearing my glasses again after years of just choosing frames that slid off my nose and did not like frames with nose pads because I dislike this style. I also love Dr. Donna Madlangbayan! I seriously had such a great experience and conversation with her. She is super knowledgeable and relatable that I would have loved to just hang out with her at the office if I could! Lol what stuck out to me was the fact that she even knew the history of TC Charton and as she explained who the maker was, it made me even more excited to able to chose frames made by her as she is an Asian American who created frames with Asian features in mind to mold to. Dr. Madlangbayan also educated me about a test that is like an ultrasound for the eye to help in identifying more in depth the health of your eyes esp those who have a fam history of glaucoma. It came at an extra cost but I truly believe in preventative care which means we need early detection/identification of any health problems. We are so use to waiting until there's no turning back to remedy our health issues and with the ever advancing technology in the health industry, I believe in taking advantage of early detection whenever possible. I know sometimes the extra cost may seem troublesome but imagine developing a chronic health condition because you decided to not test for things that your doctor is recommending because they see your fam history. It's going to cost way more to treat something than to prevent it. I also encourage everyone that if their employer offers it to sign up for HSA because that has been a life saver in financially being able to actually take care of my health with money that is set aside just for this purpose. To pay for any healthcare expenses. I love finding people who are passionate about what they do and you can really tell Dr. Madlangbayan loves what she does.
