A modest cafe situated at the golf course. Per my MIL, it was recently renovated, which makes the place feel more modern. The white walls and wide windows has the place feel very open and welcoming. The staff were also great and attentive. We got the fairway omelet (not pictured), the California omelet, and the meat lovers omelet with biscuits and gravy. The California omelet was fantastic. Cool well with plenty of filling so one doesn't feel cheated. The country potatoes were very crispy and was well suited with the onions and bell pepper. The toasted was generously buttered on both sides (which may not be the best for some people). The biscuits and gravy was fantastic and too much food for three of us to finish in conjunction with our omelets so beware if you do order it, as you'll likely be taking it home for leftovers. read more

Absolutely awesome BLT. We were prepping for a friend's B'day party and had been up running around and unfed for several hours. It had been long enough that my wife started giving off the warning signs. As a husband who loves his wife I've learned that the best course of action in this situation is a speedy one. And a quick discussion among the locals confirmed that the Fairway, the closest option for lunch, was closing in 15 minutes. I dove into a car headed that direction and once we'd arrived ran from the parking lot to restaurant. The staff got a good laugh at the dude running in the lot but that guaranteed that I could get a little sustenance to my dear wife and that she would not ruin her or my day. The sandwich was delicious. The fries were delicious. The service was delightfully sweet especially considering I ran in 7 minutes before they closed. The day was now saved! We went a little out of our way to try this spot but Im really glad we did. I hadn't been there for many, many years (maybe over ten?!) and was delighted to see they had updated and spruced up the place. The bathrooms are so clean and homey. You definitely feel a sense of relief to have such a clean place to go when taking your kids or older family who need to use the facilities more often. The wait staff and kitchen crew worked fast to take orders and get food out. The food was hot and delicious! I ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, & cheese on a toasted english muff. It was amazing. I was so thrilled! It was like Id made it at home exactly the way I want it. My kids had the "kids breakfast" plates and both ate well, so that tells me they were happy. My son loved the crispy bacon & my daughter enjoyed the pancake. My husband ordered the country biscuits and gravy as well as a short stack of pancakes. These were literally the best pancakes I have had! They were so fluffy and cooked to perfection. The sausage was also cooked to perfection and seemed like they packaged it there. The biscuits and gravy had an herb taste to them that we are unused to, but they were still good as well. Service was extremely quick for being a small cafe in a small town. We were on our way to Yosemite, and showed up during peak breakfast hours, but were served very quickly. If we come back to Yosemite we will definitely visit this cafe again. I've come here many times and always had great food and service but not this time. Last time we were here my wife had the chorizo burrito and I had one bite and was blown away with just how awesome it was, so much so that I could still taste it an hour later and said next time I'm getting that burrito! Well, we both got that burrito and there was zero flavor and only specks of chorizo and we both we about as disappointed as you could possibly get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We couldn't even taste or find the chorizo! We asked the waitress about it and she pointed out the little specks of chorizo and I'm thinking "does she think we are freaking idiots?" We were very offended and the food was not what it should have been. You provide crap for food and not consistent then your business will either dry up or fail! We live in the community and absolutely love this place. The service is great and food is the best spot in the park. My favorite is the Club Sandwich on Sourdough with chili cheese fries. First off with the good: it's cheap and convenient for the YLP dwellers. Not to mention the service and staff is the best on the mountain. Now The "could be better": Food could be a lil better, and the portions are small like "senior center" size. The cook staff look young and maybe inexperienced, hard to say. Pleasantly Surprised. While visiting my In-Laws in YLP we had heard the Fairway Cafe has reopened and thought we would give it a try. The parking lot made it look like it may be packed but we headed in anyways. Inside they looked pretty busy but we were seated in a few short minutes. Well yummy! The food was really good. We were four adults in out party and everyone ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their meal. Not only was the food good, for us it was the perfect amount and very affordable. I am 100% that when we are in town again we will make a stop at the Fairway Cafe. Another note, our server, Ayawna, is as friendly and down to earth as anyone I have met. read more
