This is a great little locally owned place that is very customer service oriented. The food is very good and large portions. The prices are comparable to most cafe shops. All food is made to order, good fresh ingredients. The coffee and tea are fresh and the teas are very good with a large selection of flavors as well. If nearby stop in and see for self!! Love this coffee shop. They always are coming up with new drinks and aren't afraid to test out unique syrups and flavors. They're also always coming up with ideas to get community involved and really keep north fork living. Unfortunately this cafe disappointed my expectations after looking at the Yelp ratings. I understand the circumstances were likely the reason for the service, however not everything could be blamed on that. We came in as a group of 8 thinking to get some small bites and coffee before we headed off to the lake. As soon as we walked in, the lady working behind the counter let us know that she could only make 4 more egg items. We were somewhat disappointed but we talked and worked out what we could get instead and who would be getting the items with eggs (breakfast burritos). We started our orders and ordered 2 egg items then suddenly she told us she is out of eggs...she mentioned at this point that the place across the street serves a full sit down breakfast if we were interested. I want to be compassionate to business owners at this time but I do feel like it's important to have enough stock to be able to serve their customers or if you're out of things then being honest about it (we did get the feeling that she didn't want to serve us). And I am taking into consideration that we were a large party and the service staff was by herself and that must have been stressful for her. The breakfast burrito that we did get was terrible; the eggs used are not fresh (powder/microwaved), the tortilla was barely warmed and cheese was just sprinkled in. The meats that we could eat were also not available which is why we had to settle with a egg and cheese burrito--I would not recommend. All the drinks we got in our party were really good which is why I give two stars to this business. read more

I've been dying to try this place out. Hands down delish! I ordered the Vegetarian Fire on Naan bread which comes with hummus, lettuce, red onions, tomato, sliced avocado, and a plethora of sliced Mozzarella cheese. The fresh Mozzarella alone is worth the sandwich price, however, I love spicy foods and I'm not too sure where the "Fire" in the name comes from, it was a bit deceiving for me thinking I would get a spicy veggie sandwich, nonetheless, it was fulfilling. I also ordered a large Iced mocha, which is, I believe a 24oz cup. All their coffee is made with Rare Earth Co. beans. Other things they have available for quick purchase/on the go/passing thru that I didn't order are chips, candy, soda, energy drinks, Helados La Tapatia, to name a few. This place is a hidden treasure located in the exact center of California. Without a doubt, the best tri-tip sandwich we ever had (served Saturdays) by far. They are generous on the meat. If you are not a big eater you can definitely share with someone. I had the Hotshot sandwich and it was a little spicy but soooooo good, the sliced jalapenos were a surprise because they weren't listed on menu but for me it was a very welcomed surprise because it was great. I was driving on my way to Bass Lake and there was a sign that said Bandit Town so I decided to be adventurous to stumble upon an community benefit there. The smell of meat was in the air and quite surprisingly I stumbled upon the tent where I met the owner of Hot Shots Art & Mary Ellen. They were actively involved in community events and the shop located nearby in North Fork. I decided to try their smoked tri-tip sandwhich. It was freshly smoked meat, just thr right amount of smoke flavor which I was not a fan of until today. It came on a freshly made bun from a local bakery acccompanied by fresh grilled onons and jalapenos. Portions were very generous! In talking with the owner's I found out this was one of many specialty sandwhiches at the brick and mortar located in North Fork. Oh! Let;s not forget the speicialty sauce they had blended primarily for them. They need to sell it cause it is awesome. I could never get out of them how they came up with it but the taste was amazing! I later visited the shop and purchased their own blend of coffee they had packaged and for sale. The next morning, I tried it and it was refined with a slight punch to the flavor but wen well with traditional breakfast. Thanks for the awesome experience and I hope this place trends upwards because their food and beverages are on trend in the little town of North Fork.
