There has always been an off odor here but can be overlooked if all else is good.

When our waitress checked on us, I explained the issue, and she politely apologized and took the burger back. A few minutes later, the manager on duty brought the same burger back upstairs, slammed it down, and asked with an attitude, "What is the problem?" I explained that it was undercooked and that I had ordered medium well. She then asked, "What do you want me to do with this?" while just standing there staring at me. After acting irritated, she asked if I wanted a new burger or wanted "this one" recooked. The idea of them recooking a burger I had already cut into and handled felt completely unsanitary. Her attitude throughout the interaction was awful. I declined a replacement, and she huffed that she'd remove it from the bill. Unfortunately, it got even worse. Just minutes later, an earwig crawled out of my friend's salad. We were horrified. We took a picture, caught the bug, and asked another server to get the manager. When she returned, she walked up with her hand on her hip and said, "Now what?" We handed her the napkin with the bug, and instead of apologizing, she opened it right there on the table, let the bug crawl out, scoffed at us, and said, "Fine, I'll take that off the bill too." At that point, my friend was covering her mouth in disgust after realizing she had been eating a salad with a bug in it. Rather than showing concern or professionalism, the manager snapped, "What do you want?! I didn't put the bug in the salad." I have never experienced such unsanitary conditions combined with such shockingly hostile customer service. Mistakes can happen, but the manager's behavior was beyond unacceptable. We left disgusted and will absolutely never return.

I am a registered nurse and visited during my lunch break to purchase five chicken wings and a small macaroni and cheese. The employee who assisted me, whose name I understood to be Laila E., responded sharply when I asked whether I could receive all flats, stating, "No, we don't accommodate people for all flats." When I asked whether she could check with a manager, she told me he would give the same answer. After I repeated my request, she asked him, and he accommodated me on this occasion, which I appreciated. I would have accepted a respectfully explained policy; the dismissive tone was unnecessary. I also specifically asked that my rewards points be applied. I frequently patronize your Munster location and have spent $200-$300 on some occasions. Despite my request, my points were not added. After I paid, she walked away while I was attempting to ask to speak with a manager. When I eventually explained my concerns to the manager, he questioned whether she had really been that aggressive and said she was one of his best employees. His response left me feeling that my experience was being doubted before it had been fairly considered. Although he said he would speak with her, I left feeling dismissed rather than heard. As a nurse, I understand demanding workdays. I also understand that frustration does not excuse treating others disrespectfully. Every customer deserves courtesy, regardless of the size of their order or the request they make. This experience has cost Bombers BBQ a loyal customer. I will not return to the Crown Point location or continue spending my money at your restaurants. My purpose in writing is to make ownership aware of what occurred and give you an opportunity to address it. I would appreciate a response explaining how this concern will be handled and how my missing rewards points can be corrected. Thank you for your time and attention.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there. What a great meal!! I had the 16 oz. prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes, and my wife had the baked tilapia and linguini alfredo with roasted vegetables and grilled asparagus. Both cooked to perfection and healthy portions. As if that wasn't enough, we thoroughly enjoyed the cheesecake with drizzled raspberry sauce. The best slice of cheesecake I have ever had (I mean that). The atmosphere was light, inviting and comfortable, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was a great place to enjoy my wife and the evening. The staff was professional, courteous and dressed to impress. They made me feel important, like I mattered. The decor reflects the name. It's modern and warm and not over done. They have a nice size bar area, all open concept and a large outdoor covered patio eating area that many people seemed to prefer on the beautiful night we went. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food and portions. It is not your average Northwest Indiana restaurant. I couldn't of picked a better place on such an important night. I would recommend that everyone go there, it's just wonderful. So wonderful, that I have NEVER written a restaurant review before and thought they deserved it very much! While I believe that you can't make everyone happy (there are a lot of 'a-holes' out there) this place will make way more people happy than the alternative. If your looking for a great meal and a good time in a nice place, go to Fahrenheit 212. You won't be disappointed. But if your a miserable person who tries to find every thing wrong with everything in trying to make the everyone else in this world as miserable as you, please go to McDonald's. My visit to this restaurant was, regrettably, a thoroughly unsatisfactory experience. The cocktail I ordered, a Manhattan, was disappointingly watered down and lacked any discernible depth of flavor. Its insipid appearance, too light to convince me that it was indeed a Manhattan, was equally underwhelming. My disappointment continued with the French onion soup, which was made with chicken stock instead of the expected beef broth. Furthermore, the onions were inadequately caramelized, and the inclusion of an excessive amount of rosemary resulted in a dish that was overly herbaceous and lacking in balance. Moving on to the salad, I was promised mixed greens, but what I received was a bowl of plain, uninspired iceberg lettuce. The shrimp tacos, while advertised as a highlight of the menu, were disappointing at best. Their lack of flavor and presentation was underwhelming, particularly given the price point. A visit to this restaurant would not be recommended. read more

I will give Fahrenheit 212 "5 STARS"!!! This place is a great add on to Crown Point. We had a large group of our friends that just got together & enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Our server was amazing! We understand when you go out with a large group sometimes things don't go as planned. This time that wasn't a factor. Drinks in a timely manner, food was hot & service was great. Well, I have to say the menu had so many choices that all of our guests got something different & we shared & picked on each others plates just so we can get an idea of all of the plates they have to offer. Not one complaint. We had everything from the ahi salad (which was delicious), Ribs, Tilapia, Stuffed Chicken, Jambalaya, Perch, Walleye, ect. The food had such great flavor & we actually saved room for desert. (took a full cheese cake home too!) Thats how good it was! Finally, a Downtown Chicago type quality Restaurant with Northwest Indiana pricing! I have eaten here about a half dozen times and absolutely love it. The food is spectacular, definitely head and tails above anything else in the Crown Point/Merrillville areas. My favorite is the stuffed chicken and my wife loves their Filet, but the sandwiches and burgers are great as well. Another big plus is for the vegetarians out there as there are a lot of offerings on the menu for them as well... is one of the few places my mother-in-law can actually go out and order something besides a salad. Great appetizer selection too, try the loaded mashed potato won-tons... awesome! The drinks are moderately priced and the atmosphere is casual chic. Staff is attentive and prompt, never had a bad experience there and will continue to go back. read more

My order of a medium cooked wagyu burger with mushrooms and bacon added came out bleeding it was so undercooked. I then realized the dirt on the lettuce. They never even rinsed the produce. After that I decided to request a refund. Not to mention no bacon and mushrooms... surprise. Amidst the confusion my wife never received her food at all. My son loved his kids cheese pizza and fries. I was given two coupons foe free meals on top of my refund. I couldn't even give these away. It turns out, I'm the o ly person who didn't know yet. This place is trash. I have been to F212 many times since it's been open. It has been a great place to eat in Northwest Indiana. I would suggest everybody should eat here. This restaurant has stayed in my top 3 since I first discovered it, even more so now with the new management. The appetizers are always fresh, the little mini potato's are my go-to.
