    Hair served with omelette

Walking around the square and saw this restaurant. Average diner fare. Omelette appeared to be either 2 large or 3 small eggs. Made well. Disappointed when I discovered this hair under the omelette. Appears to be pubic, so that's disgusting. Won't be back.

This is a cozy family.style restaurant sitting smack dab in the middle of downtown crown point. The exterior is clean and looks very new. A welcoming sign displays the name of the restaurant in big bold letters. Upon entering you notice the old school diner feel. A very retro design suggests the place may have been around for quite awhile. However, it was very clean! I have only visited once so my review is only based off of one meal. Let me first start by saying the air conditioning worked great! I was super hot as it was 97 degrees out and was thankful for the cool air! My server was quick to greet me with a menu. Having looked at the online menu I already knew what I wanted. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with fries and a coke. The food came out in quite a timely manner despite the large party of people eating with family who came in moments before me. The food came out hot and fresh. The buffalo wrap was just as you'd imagine. Chunks of fried chicken in a tangy sauce with blue cheese throughout. The wrap was a little bit loose so some of my ingredients continuously fell out on to my plate. I doubt there's a way to prevent this. The fries were very yummy. They were crispy and fresh and appeared to be "fresh cut". They were perfectly salted and delicious. If you're hungry and in the area I recommend a visit!

I had the Strawberry Spinach Salad, my partner had to Steak Garlic Aoli Hoagie, my eldest had the kids burger and youngest had tenders. Everyone's food was eaten and there were zero complaints. I would highly recommend!

When our food arrived, I cut into mine and it was extremely rare--so undercooked that one side of the patty was still pink. My son's burger was cooked correctly, so I know mine clearly wasn't. When our waitress checked on us, I explained the issue, and she politely apologized and took the burger back. A few minutes later, the manager on duty brought the same burger back upstairs, slammed it down, and asked with an attitude, "What is the problem?" I explained that it was undercooked and that I had ordered medium well. She then asked, "What do you want me to do with this?" while just standing there staring at me. After acting irritated, she asked if I wanted a new burger or wanted "this one" recooked. The idea of them recooking a burger I had already cut into and handled felt completely unsanitary. Her attitude throughout the interaction was awful. I declined a replacement, and she huffed that she'd remove it from the bill. Unfortunately, it got even worse. Just minutes later, an earwig crawled out of my friend's salad. We were horrified. We took a picture, caught the bug, and asked another server to get the manager. When she returned, she walked up with her hand on her hip and said, "Now what?" We handed her the napkin with the bug, and instead of apologizing, she opened it right there on the table, let the bug crawl out, scoffed at us, and said, "Fine, I'll take that off the bill too." At that point, my friend was covering her mouth in disgust after realizing she had been eating a salad with a bug in it. Rather than showing concern or professionalism, the manager snapped, "What do you want?! I didn't put the bug in the salad." I have never experienced such unsanitary conditions combined with such shockingly hostile customer service. Mistakes can happen, but the manager's behavior was beyond unacceptable. We left disgusted and will absolutely never return.

I and a few other family members were invited by my mother and by the time I walked out, I was wondering why this place wasn't packed wall‑to‑wall every night. Let's start with Monday's AYCE perch -- absolutely outstanding. Lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned, and fried just right. It's the kind of perch that makes you rethink every mediocre fish fry your uncle threw that your family tolerated. If you're a perch person, this is your new weekly ritual. Then came the walleye, WATCH OUT NOW, and honestly, my sister wasn't prepared. She said it was flaky, flavorful, and cooked with the kind of herbs & spices she recognized that said, "Yeah, we know exactly what the hell we're doing." "It's the kind of fish that makes you pause mid‑bite and appreciate life for a second." But the real surprise of the night? The bacon, mushroom, and American cheese hamburger -- unforgettable. This thing deserves its own billboard. Juicy, stacked, and unapologetically delicious. Every bite felt like a small celebration. On top of all that, the place is spotless. I mean impressively clean. Floors, tables, bar area -- everything looked like someone had just finished polishing it. You can tell the staff takes pride in the space. And speaking of the space... Yes, the building once housed a gentleman's club. But now? It's so clean, so friendly, and so well‑run that the only thing dancing is your taste buds. The only thing exotic here is how good the food is. Pivot Lounge has officially earned a spot on my "must return" list. Great food, great service, great atmosphere -- and a glow‑up story worthy of its own documentary.

This comes out in service to customers. The food still is acceptable but the failure to be nice and friendly has made the experience an abject failure. They have lost my confidence and we who go once a week are now done. No more. Consider yourself warned and buyer beware. Lots of good options in Crown Point that will provide good service. There has always been an off odor here but can be overlooked if all else is good.
