We were looking for a spot to eat on the fourth of July before heading to the in laws and we needed to fill up as I heard that hot dogs were on the menu and probably bar s so we saw they were open and a great find . We got in fast and they were so friendly. The food came out fast and hot. The biscuit and gravy were a solid choice the biscuit was fluffy and soft and the gravy has enough sausage that it could have been a side by itself. This is my second time going to this establishment. My first experience here was great. My server was a friend from high school and she took care of us. However, upon my second time going, we had a different server and I ordered waffles with whipped cream just like I did before. The first picture you see here is what the server did to my waffles. I'm not sure what inspired her to put whipped cream all over my waffles like this, but it was extremely rude. The manager was sitting in a table across from us, and I kindly ask the server if my waffle could be remade because I simply asked for whipped cream, not a funnel cake. The server went up to the manager, showed him my plate and he shook his head and caught an attitude with her. She came back to the table and asked me how did I want my waffles. It's not rocket science. I told her to put the whipped cream on the side because she clearly doesn't know how to apply whipped cream to a waffle. A few minutes later, they bring out a fresh waffle with whipped cream on the side. My friend sitting across from me ordered the chicken and waffles, and their meal was made correctly. However, this tedious process caused me to get the ick from this place. I will not be going back there again. I'm giving them one star because of how blatant and rude the manager & server was when it came to making my food correctly again. He did not come up to the table to apologize for the inconvenience. Only complaint and this is more about the people dining there than the restaurant but the parking lot has lot of litter along the edge of the property. I spent 15 minutes picking up litter walking from my car to the door of the restaurant. People need to take pride in their community and not litter. The atmosphere is so welcoming and homey, the staff is always friendly and very helpful (Lily & Lisa are two of the sweetest and best waitresses we've ever had).
