Had a stellar Easter brunch here yesterday. Not a single complaint. Tables were well-spaced. There were multiple food stations so lines were manageable. Great variety. The food was fresh and of good quality. Special favorites included the fresh pasta station, carved juicy turkey, lox with all of the fixings, and prime rib. Service was friendly and efficient and kept the beverages full and the table cleared of used dishes. So seldomly does a restaurant manage the rush of a holiday brunch as well as this place did. Excellent food, creative menu, attentive, caring, and competent service. We ordered the macadamia goat cheese as an appetizer: delicious and huge. Between the 3 of us, we brought more than half of it home. Daughter ordered the lobster Mac and cheese - loved it. Wife and I both had the shrimp / corn chowder, and loved it - so creamy and flavorful. I had the swordfish steak served on a kale salad: so many flavors. Wife also had the crab cakes appetizer; the taste and presentation were excellent, but should have been warmer. We all have leftovers to finish. I live in the neighborhood and frequent White Hawk and River Rock Restaurant often. I enjoy the surroundings and the food and service is usually top notch. During this pandemic, my family tries to help the local restaurants and their staffs make ends meet. Last night we ordered family dinner for take out. The food was ready within 20 minutes of my call. They have an excellent set up where you call when you get there and park in front and they bring your order out to your vehicle. Flawless plan. We got home and they had forgotten one of our entree's. I called River Rock and the manager apologized for the mistake and offered to deliver to our home. Since it was close by, I declined at returned to the clubhouse where I was greeted curbside with the missing entree and a very nice complimentary bottle of wine for our trouble. Very nice touch. As we all realize, mistakes happen and it's how they are handled that makes a difference. The White Hawk / River Rock group understand this and always try to go above and beyond to satisfy their clientele's needs. Will definitely be returning soon. read more

Nice local clubhouse restaurant. Good place to watch sports or enjoy live music. The food is good and the service is friendly.

This is a favorite date spot for me and my husband. There is a diverse menu and some of our favs are the seafood risotto, fish tacos and buffalo burger. The appetizers are great too and it is a fun place to go with friends for drinks and appetizers too. They have attentive service and also you don't feel pressured to leave right after eating. We find it to be a great place to chill and enjoy time talking together. The restaurant faces the course so there are always nice views and in the warm weather you can sit in a screened in patio and enjoy your meal bug free. read more

Waited 45 mins for our drinks to arrive. Had to walk up to the bar n request them. Ordered burbon shrimp as an appetizer. Showed up an hour later after entrees where at table. Played a round at White Hawk last weekend, and afterward decided to relax and enjoy the clubhouse for a late lunch - a great decision. The menu was very impressive, and we (3) decided to go with the loaded wedges, a buffalo chicken flatbread & italian beef sandwich all to share. The flatbreads are really pizzas in size but with a thin crispy crust; the wedges are oddly cut potatoes, fried, and covered in steak, cheese, salsa, sour cream and jalapenos; and the italian beef was fairly straightforward but with a delicious au jus. Looked for a new place to take the wife out on a date and found River Rock on Yelp. Got scared while following the GPS thinking that "once again, GPS doesn't have a clue" when it had me turn into a housing edition. But we followed it anyways and enjoyed the pretty Christmas lights. On arrival, we freaked out again when we saw it was a Country Club. But we pressed on hoping it was open to the public. We were pleasantly surprised. We were seated in a nice large room with a cozy fireplace by a delightful hostess. My wife asked her about the menu and she was so excited to share her experience about having tasted each item. By then Brandon, our server, arrived and took over. He too was very knowledgeable and passionate about the menu. We started off with the Stuffed Mushrooms with Cajun Sauce appetizer. They were very good. We would have liked to have seen a bit more heat in the Cajun sauce, but not everyone likes the heat like we do but they were still very good. The menu was very diverse but not overwhelming. They had Lamb and different types of fish not normally found on menus along with premium steaks and a nice salad experience. It was so hard to choose. We decided to taste a wide variety of appetizers instead of a main course (it was a festive night). We had amazing Lobster Mac and Cheese, Lamb Lollypops with Pineapple Glaze, and Peppercorn Crusted Grouper Bites. We also got a side of Asparagus with parmigiana roasted to perfection. The whole menu was like the winning dishes from an entire season of Master Chef. Please don't ask us which was the best because each one was masterpiece on its own. The presentation of each plate was elegant and well thought out. We wanted to try the Creme Brûlée but we had to stop somewhere. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was dessert in its own way. So, a fireside dinner with my beautiful bride, wonderful cuisine, and exemplary service made for a perfect evening. A trifecta! Yes, we will be back! Thanks River Rock! After leaving my post, I told some of our friends about our experience and they said they had recently got a new chef and that is why everything was so good! Kudos to the new chef! Best food in crown point! A lot of confusion on people thinking it is a private establishment due to the country club being attached. I assure you it is open to the public and well worth the 2 min drive from the square!! read more
