Walking in I felt like I was going into a ski lodge despite it being golf centric on a golf course. Six of us had no difficulty getting three separate checks even though they forgot to make and serve one of the party but they did rush it when we asked where the sixth dinner was. They serve a basket of salty bar encouraging popcorn while waiting for food. Waitress service was excellent. Our table liked the soup and steak salad while the fries served with the sandwich platters were typical frozen food vendor quality. People enjoyed the $15 burgers which had typical accoutrements of lettuce, tomato and onions. Unfortunately their "Reuben" did also while the kraut and dressing were hard to find making this a very lame duck Reuben which should be avoided if that is your desired sandwich. Since the rye and meat were decent it gets an OK as a corned beef, lettuce and tomato sandwich for $14. Too loud to carry on a conversation the dining room is set up in a lodge or dining hall style with hard surfaces and no sound deadening treatments. They do have full dinners such as steak. We went to SP19 for a late lunch / early dinner. We were seated outside by the hostess. Outside scenery of the golf course along with the flowers were beautiful. Everyone was very cheery. We ordered a bottle of wine, burger & SW salad. Everything served was fresh! We decided to split the skillet cookie which just melted in your mouth! WOW! We will back again. SP 19 is typically a good place to dine overall. However, I do not recommend their biscuits and gravy. My food was so cold, I had to return it to the kitchen to heat it up. The gravy had very little taste, and as was thin and watery. DO NOT get the biscuits and gravy. read more

Both times I have been here, the food and service have been excellent. Take this into consideration knowing you are in the middle of nowhere with limited choices for food. There is no shortage of good food here. If you just happen to be a golfer that's an extra added bonus. read more

Very nice! This restaurant part here at the golf course is great. It has several spaces for events of many sizes and type. We had the back room and service was awesome. The prices were suprisingly great.Everyone had positive comments about their food choices in our large party. They offer a variety of choices from basic entrees like steak to appetizers such as fried pickles. The atmosphere is fun and decor is chic industrial.The popcorn at the tables is a fun idea. My wife have been here a few times over the last couple years, and there's not a lot bad about it. The first time we went, I thought it was really good, but after coming back a few times, I think I was just excited to have a decent restaurant in Demotte. I've had a pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese and a couple burgers, and they were all okay to good, but nothing that I was dying to have again. The service was always quite good, and the popcorn was quite an enjoyable little per-meal snack. Overall, I think it's one of the better restaurants in the Demotte area and worth trying, but it isn't life-changing. read more

First time I went to SP19 for breakfast was today and I'm happy we went. The service was quick and to the point and the food was out in a timely manner. They have all your normal meals that you see at different restaurants in the area. I attached some pictures of what we had and I was definitely impressed. My wife and I are eating a keto diet, so most of their menu isn't going to work for us. But they have a delicious chopped salad that is perfect! Loads of fresh veggies, a generous helping of grilled chicken, and salad dressing on the side make this a very filling dinner. The wait staff is polite and professional, and they kept my water glass full, which isn't always easy. We'll definitely be back to SP19 in the near future. read more

Atmosphere is cool but the food quality is very poor and definitely don't reflect the prices. A lot of it seemed like heat and eat garbage made by teenagers. Been visiting this area a lot lately for both business and personal reasons, but this is by far the best place I've been in the last few months. It has an industrial look but still feels very cozy. The portions are large as you can see in my picture and the service was impeccable. This restaurant is by far better than any in the Rensselaer area. Looking for a dining experience that is overpriced, low quality and poor service? You have come to the right place. I had the salmon and rice. The salmon was dried out, and the rice can only be compared to bad minute rice. Our waitress forgot my wife's beer X2 and forgot to bring the soup before the meal. I had to ask for the soup even then(?) We were rarely checked-on for more drinks or anything else for that matter. The place is pretty noisy too as a bonus. I've got to say that this restaurant location has it all, on the side of a golf course, great setting, the structure and landscaping is fantastic, the one thing that does not have going for it, is the FOOD. I've been to this restaurant four times and ate each time, it's always been a major disappointment. The food is subpar at best, The sandwich prices and pizza is reasonable, but the main course menu is overpriced....always frozen nothing fresh except for the salad, and on two occasions I have experienced raw food. The $20 - $30 main course are flavorless. The staff are friendly but they need to be to make up for the food. I guess they cater to most of the golfers that either had too much to drink and don't really care what the food looks or tastes like.....or they are just so hungry they'll eat whatever is put in front of them. False advertising! Ordered the Hot Pretzels w/beer cheese. Yes they were deep fried as mentioned on the menu and definitely tasted that way as well but the cheese was not beer cheese it was cheese sauce out of a #10 can. My husband had the "hand pounded" Pork Tenderloin Sandwich, was more like a processed chicken fried steak. A pork Tenderloin hence "Tenderloin" is mostly white meat, this was definitely processed paste formed into a perfectly round patty. And it tasted frost bitten and old. My daughter had the hot dog. Why do places serve an inch thick all beef hot dog to a child? Not even that, why does this place serve it to a child when it looks like a beef stick, dried out and wrinkled? There was no way that hot dog was made fresh it had definitely been sitting around for awhile. My son had spaghetti that he said he liked but he was pretty disappointed that everyone else wasn't eating so I think he was just trying to be nice. I had a BLT which was good but only ate half because I was so mad about the rest of the food. The waitress was very prompt but unaware, why would a table of 4, that are obviously hungry, not eat their dinner? So she never came back to see if everything was ok just cleared the plates. Maybe that's why she gave us 2 huge bags of their popcorn to go? I don't say anything negative anymore about bad food. I always look like the idiot trying to get a free meal I guess. My motto is if I don't like it I don't eat it and we never go back. This is my favorite local place to have a beer and a good meal. Being mostly a sports bar it has a very energetic atmosphere and can be a bit noisy at times when the golfers are done for the day. But really you would expect it. Wings are killer and the pulled pork nachos are enough to feed a family of 4. Beer is reasonably priced and mixed drinks are well made. There aren't too many good places to eat in the DeMotte area but this one is a winner. read more

Me and my friends went here Sunday morning for breakfast on 10/06/2019. I was served a spoiled ham, confirmed by my friend through taste test, so I called the waitress and asked to replace it with a different food. Only had two small bites on the ham cause it was bad. I asked for a steak instead, and was expecting to pay a little more of course. When I got my bill, they still charged me full for the breakfast with the ham, and added the steak on top of it. So I called the server again, who talked to the manager and said they will just discount the steak. First problem is no apologies for the spoiled ham, then make it look like I was lying about the spoiled ham, then make me pay for the spoiled ham that I did not eat. was there june 7, 2019. thought food would be better. sometimes it's ok and most of the time it is awful. the next day, finally spoke to a manger. she said it is due to they have teen age boys doing the cooking and not a professional cook or chef. not only was my table disappointed with the food but the guests at the next table also were not pleased with their meals. my family usually spends $100 plus. manager stated the next time we come in she would 'knock' something off our bill. wait staff is good. don't think we will be coming back soon. it is just a bar for the golfers and not a restaurant. so sad to see it going down hill! read more
