They notify you that they no longer work on leather items and offer to recycle your garment or send it back to you at your expense. No where on their website or Instagram do they mention that they no longer work on leather. I spoke with Matt the "manager" regarding this and he agreed that the website needs to be updated and that he would get my jacket returned today. Two hours later I get a notification from AmEx that I have been billed by Rainy Pass Repair for a shipping charge. When I spoke with Matt after seeing the charge he told me "that's the way we do business." He then said I could write the owner an email to the general email address and he would forward it. I suppose I should believe him but that might be difficult considering the level of service they appear to provide. It would be like taking your Buick back to the shop that repaired it last month only to be told, "We don't work on Buicks here anymore" even though the sign outside said "We work on Buicks." Based on this clear communication, I drove an hour each way to the store. When I arrived, the owner inexplicably changed the price--not once, but three times. First to $250, then $275, and finally she refused to give any definite number at all. Her justification? That she wasn't making money on the fabric sale, so the quoted and advertised price didn't apply. That's not just bad business--it's dishonest. Even when I agreed to pay the higher price of $250 just to move forward, she still wouldn't commit to a final cost. The lack of transparency, flexibility, and professionalism was astounding. In the end, I wasted over two hours of my time on a Sunday and left without the service--because the owner lost a sale over $25 and refused to honor her own employee's quote. I spoke with a few bespoke suit places and Jeff just got my style the best. While other suits were beautiful, I think the small details Jeff payed attention to and some of his designs for the more modern person. Pockets for days! Jeff was super friendly, accommodating and helpful. My lady requested a swatch of fabric to help tie together the Father's and best man's suit with mine and he was able to accommodate. The "funny" thing is I was wearing one of the suits I purchased from him in 2008. Still fits great. I wore a different sport coat and slacks into the office earlier this week from closer to 2006 and my office mates thought I got new clothes. They might cost more than an off-the-rack suit but I promise you that once you wear a custom suit, shirt or slacks you won't want to go back. And of course the cost per wear is pretty low after almost 20 years. And they aren't being removed from my closet. Jeff is super personable and not pushy. He knows his stuff and you'll look great and feel great because looking good is feeling good.
