I had just moved out of my old apartment and into a new one. Spent the entire day cleaning, then transferring all my belongings. Was about to spend a night on a hardwood floor, but walked in at closing time out of desperation. Jamie Gioia was super chill, sold me a twin sized mattress at half price and sent me on my way in 10 mins. Would definitely recommend to any other UT students on a budget like me and shoutout to the 2 year old year Reddit post that recommended me to this place. If you see this, Jamie, I was the homie in the Sharks jersey. You the man! read more

Phenomenal experience! Jamie Gioia helped me in the store. He listened to my preferences and despite the tons of choices he narrowed them down quickly. After trying only three mattresses I picked one and it's absolutely perfect. Expert salesman, superb experience and I love the mattress. Everything here is offered at a very reasonable price and the store truly has experts who will assist you. Thank you so much! read more

John gave me great deal on mattress. Besides being on sale he gave me additional discount. Very professional and friendly

As promised (or threatened).... here's the followup review post-delivery. Best delivery anywhere. They called the night before with a three hour window. This morning, they called to tell us they were running early and gave us a 15 minute heads-up. Arrived by 10 AM and out just a moment after 10:30. Three mattresses delivered. No sign left behind of their visit. Super friendly and efficient crew, We were about to put the bed skirts on the beds and they basically did the work for us. Highly recommended. read more

My boyfriend and I came to this store last week to purchase a mattress. Initially, the service was fine, but our experience quickly went downhill. We had not intended on purchasing a mattress on that trip - we were just shopping for prices. We were the only customers in the store so we got full attention. We found a mattress at a great deal and our salesman, Andre, said we could put it on layaway, which we agreed to do. About 2 minutes after talking about the layaway option, he told us that we owed the full price of the mattress. Confused, we asked if layaway was still available. He said it was and asked how much we wanted to put down. We told him $200. He then turned to his colleague and asked him to ring us up for the full price of the mattress. At this point I didn't know if this man was just lost or the inspiration for Dory from "Finding Nemo." In any case, my boyfriend and I, again, reiterated that we wanted to do a layaway plan. That was the first kerfluffle. The second came in determining a delivery date. We requested that our mattress be delivered on Wednesday, June 1st. Andre checks with his colleague to make sure he inputs the correct date. As he's wrapping up, he confirms that our delivery date is Tuesday, May 31. We correct him and say that we wanted it for June 1st. Andre inputs the right date. The next day, when my boyfriend went to pay off the rest of the mattress, the store said Wednesday was no longer available. My boyfriend told them he would call back with an alternate date. He calls back a few hours later. They tell him that there was a mix up and they can deliver June 1st. Excellent. Except a few hours later I get a call that there had been a mix up with the mix up and the mattress would not be able to be delivered on June 1st. So I mean. Ok. I'm not sure if these people are operating in an alternative dimension where our signals are getting crossed. I'm not sure if my boyfriend and I are the victims of a big prank and Ed McMann is going to deliver our mattress with a big check of money (and preferably with a pool boy riding atop the mattress, drinking wine and eating grapes.) Likely, they just deliver poor service. Mattress stores are a dime a dozen and prices are comparable across the board. There is no reason to purposely seek out this store. I am happy to have a new mattress. I am even happier that I don't have to worry about purchasing a new one for 8 years. And I am thrilled that I will never give my business to this store again. read more

We did our usual drive around town for the best mattress deal and ended coming back to Factory Mattress to buy our mattress. We needed a guest bedroom mattress replacement for our 5 year old, seldom used, guest bedroom. The mattress we had in there was too firm. During December, when I had a bad cold, I slept in there for about a week and knew then, we were putting guests on a marble slab basically. That can be a good thing if you don't want company to stay long though :) Justin at Factory Mattress was the first person to really LISTEN to our criteria... We need a softer mattress that only gets slept on 6-10 times a year. We don't want the top of the line, or the bottom but a happy medium in quality and price. We got exactly what we wanted in price, softness and quality for what it will be used for. We are totally happy. And a big plus, we bought on a Saturday afternoon with Sunday delivery. Even a bigger plus, they email you a link so you can watch the deliver truck (via GPS) on it's route. You can run errands galore and know approximately when you're delivery will be done, plus the website updates with an estimated time after each delivery. That is excellent. I wish other companies did stuff like this. If we need another mattress or other bedding, we'll be talking to Justin at Factory Mattress again. read more

My mother has not slept in a bed in over a year! Their mattress buying experience was always walking in a store picking one out with out asking to many questions. That all changed! We visited Jody at factory mattress he was extremely knowledgeable and patient. He made sure that my mom went around and picked out the best mattress that was a fit for her. If you know my mom she hates shopping and hates to try different things without a shove! With the help of Jody I'm pleased to say my mom is sleeping in a bed again. She is extremely happy with her mattress! Thank you Jody for all of you help! Highly recommend anyone looking for a great experience to go visit Jody! read more

We visited Factory Mattress Gateway Square, as well as many other companies in the Austin area. Buying a mattress is always such a hassle, and we've had bad experiences before. After a great first visit, no high pressure sales, we came back and settled on a Mattress. Mark worked hard to get us a decent price for what we wanted so we decided to make the purchase. Imagine our surprise after we had paid and left the store, Mark found a way to save us an additional $200.00 and calls us back. Considering the money was spent, and we were already down the road, that is amazing in these days. That's what I call service!! The delivery was right on time, very professional and the guys were friendly and helpful. No pun intended, the Dog Loves it!! Thanks Factory Mattress and Mark, keep up the great work. read more

So... I hate to shop, especially for large items I have to haul away from or into a place, but I was blown away by the attention and service at Factory Mattress. I bought my first queen size mattress, box spring, and headboard all from Factory Mattress for multiple reasons. 1. Michael S. was a hands on salesman who gave me the facts about the quality of each bed as well as the history behind the products. 2. The headboard/frame happened to be less than what I found online (Craigslist, Offer Up) for that particular headboard, so I lucked out by buying it straight from the store. 3. They have the lowest local delivery prices in Austin. Michael was friendly and succinct and he helped me find the best mattress for me within my price range from the moment I walked into the store. And the guys who delivered (and put my frame and headboard together) were on time and had everything ready to go in less than half an hour. I don't write reviews often, but I felt compelled to share the flawless experience I had with Factory Mattress. If you live in, or are moving to, Austin and need a mattress or frame/headboard, you will not be disappointed. read more

We just bought a king mattress and upgraded box spring set. Jody was a tremendous help and very knowledgable. Shortly after we got home we received the call confirming delivery- and it will be delivered tomorrow; less than 24 hours after we purchased it! I would highly recommend going there if you are in the market for a mattress. Labor Day sales are going on, so if you can get in this weekend you'll save a bundle. I'd still go there without the sales though. The fact that they are Austin-owned is a big plus. read more

I called about a box spring 4" was told they had one. Drove over after work, spent less than 10 minutes in the store. Great service, prefect price, and it came with a ten year warranty! Chris Nulton is wonderful! We were having issues with getting help on a mattress pad warranty claim. It is from a company they no longer do business with but yet we have a 10-year warranty with them. We called Chris and he pushed and pushed and got results ~ in a day! Chris went above and beyond. We came into his store to get the new pad and began looking at mattresses. Chris was very informative, professional and friendly. He was very knowledgeable and took plenty of time to discuss the different options he has in his store. His sincerity shows through and you know he cares about what he is doing. While we have been to other Factory Mattress stores and received good service, we felt Chris went above and beyond the other stores. We would definitely recommend Chris and tell you to go to his store. You'll be glad you did! read more

My wife is experiencing post-pregnancy related issues with her back which were exacerbated by our previous pillow top mattress, so we decided to bite the bullet and get a Tempur-Pedic bed. We did quite a bit of research and found that pricing was uniform across the different mattress chains. We went to location at Gateway and had a great experience. The store manager, Brian, was knowledgeable and patient while we tried out several different models to find the best combination of comfort and firmness. We chose to purchase the same evening due to Brian's service and the 0% interest promotion running at the time. Even better, they had the Contour Rhapsody Luxe model bed and Breeze dual-cooling pillows in stock and were able to deliver the following morning at 11AM. As an added bonus, the delivery guys were friendly and offered to haul off our old mattress and box springs for free. It's been about a week since the bed was delivered and my wife has already noticed a reduction in back pain and she also noted that I'm snoring considerably less. We highly recommend both the bed and that you go see Brian at the Gateway Factory Mattress location for your next bed. Thanks for the help Brian, Ben read more

"Painless ripping off of the band-aid" Mattress shopping is fun because you don't have to continuously stand on your feet and carry things around. Instead, you get to publicly lay on a bunch of comfy beds and almost fall asleep while doing so. The not so fun part...seeing the price tag in front of the mattress you just laid on. At Factory mattress, you don't feel that way. You feel like you're getting a good deal for your money. I think that's why my family has always come here. I came in because all of the advertisements for red tag sales. Plus they sell tempurpedic mattresses. They help you find exactly what you're looking for and their prices are better than what I've seen at other mattress stores. Not to mention the delivery was scheduled two days from the date of purchase (would have been one day but they were booked up the day prior). The delivery guys called me an hour ahead of time so I could know when to break away from my office. They arrived within the 15 minute window they gave me and took my old mattress and brought in the new all in a matter of 8 minutes. Impressed, I think so. Come to Factory Mattress to make this a painless process. read more

When I started searching for a king mattress I decided to chose Factory Mattress at the Gateway store because of the excellent consumer reviews. When I arrived I was met by Jacob and all the reviews about his excellent customer service were right on target. He let me browse around and look at the inventory of all the mattresses and then led me to the computer to enter the information about my specific sleeping pattern. After entering the information your asked to lay down on the mattress that is connected to the computer with the information that the you entered. Amazingly you can feel the mattress conform to the information you entered which gives you the correct mattress that you will need and there are many to choose from. I'm a side sleeper and I chose the Sealy Roseway Plush which I'm very happy with. The mattress was delivered the very next morning free of charge and the delivery guys were very courteous and professional. They also took my old mattress away at no extra cost. I'm very happy with my mattress buying experience with Gateway Factory Mattress. read more

I love this place. I bought a couple of pillows in the last few years then came time for a new mattress. I went in on President's Day hoping to find a good deal and that's exactly what I got. First of all, they put you on a diagnostic mattress with RIGHTfit Technology for 3 mins, which measures pressure points along your body and calculates the level of support and pressure relief you need. Then they match you up with all the mattresses in the store that equal your support level. I'd like to thank Jody for his wonderfully positive customer service and professionalism. Jody is the guru of all things mattress! Thank you for putting my mattress buying fears to rest and giving me a great deal. I have been sleeping on my Tempur-Pedic Breeze for 3 weeks and all the pain I've had in my back and hips for a year is GONE. This mattress is magical. read more

These guys are awesome at what they do. I can be a pretty high maintenance customer and they just rolled with it. I must have called the store 5 times prior to even shopping there and they were most helpful every time with no complaints. I finally came in on the Sunday of 4th of July weekend asking for some guidance (even though I had already done my research) I had my eye on the Tempurpedic cloud supreme based on what my friends had told me about it.. They asked me questions to make sure it was a good fit for me--and even gave me a comparable option which was the new Sealy Optimum series. They were very patient as I took my time literally feeling out my options in the store. They also have great sales all of the time which is why I was originally attracted--their 4th of July sale was great timing for me. Ultimately I am very pleased with their customer service but even more pleased with my uninterrupted sleep! I will certainly be sending my friends and coworkers there when it's their time. read more

We shopped there and had a specific mattress in mind. We found one that we liked better so we ended up buying that one. It was a clearance mattress so there would be no return. We had it for a few weeks and I couldn't sleep on it. It was too soft. Since it was a clearance I didn't think I had any option. I went in to ask them for options and was told immediately that they would fix the problem and exchange our mattress. This made a world of difference. We found the mattress we wanted and it was a done deal. Sharon was so helpful as was Lenny. read more

Salesman couldn't do simple math and I had to help him write up the invoice. Paid for a new mattress and box spring but they delivered a USED FLOOR DEMO model box spring. Big thanks to William and Jody helping us pick out the right mattress for us. They are very knowledgeable about their products and are more interested in making sure you get the right mattress than pressuring you into a high dollar sale (which is what I encountered at Mattress Firm). I purchased a Simmons twin mattress from them back in 2011. After 6 yrs it developed a sag in the middle that went down over 4 inches. It got so bad no one could sleep on it anymore. I filled out the warranty form but the manufacturer would not approve it. Jake from the Factory Mattress warranty department stepped in to approve the claim and gave me store credit for amount of the initial purchase. I was able to pick out a brand new mattress. Very happy and satisfied. This store upholds their promises and takes care of their customers. Thank you! read more

The mattress we originally bought had a warranty defect (small part of internal spring broke and poked out side of bed). We noticed it when the spring ripped a small hole in our sheets. The warranty process was quick and easy. Took some pictures, filled out a form and sent an email. Went to the store to pick a replacement (upgraded to a foam bed - best decision ever). Easy, peezy, lemon squeezy. Great customer service all around again, from warranty to sales to delivery. Still a local, family-owned gem. read more

My boyfriend and I came here looking for a bed. This is the best service we've received for an associate while in Austin. We are fairly technical when it comes to purchasing, and Jody explained us the ins/outs, pros/cons, etc. of each type of bed that we suggested interest in. Very non-salesy which was relieving. He informed us on the best quality mattresses for the price. Not only did Jody provide us with great information and knowledge, exceptional customer service, but also was genuinely personable. Since we just moved to Austin, he asked us about our background, we talked jobs, different areas of Austin, football, food, etc. He was awesome, and I highly recommend his services to any and every one! read more

I purchased a full mattress set for our son here for $299 and scheduled a pick-up for a Saturday three weeks later. The saleslady, Sharon, was great at the time and she even threw in a free waterproof mattress protector. I called them the day before our scheduled pick-up to inquire whether we could get it a day early. When I purchased the set, Sharon had indicated that it might be ready the day before and it happened to be more convenient. I spoke with Roger. He said my order was down as a twin mattress set. I told him I definitely purchased a full considering we'd had the bedding at home for months already. He said I would have to wait until Sharon was in the next day, and informed me that I got a good deal on the twin. Huh? I told him I wasn't interested in what was/wasn't a good deal, I ordered a full mattress set and I wanted my order figured out. He raised his voice and VERY rudely cut me off saying, "I can't help you. Call back tomorrow and talk to Sharon." The next day it was discovered that she had ordered the wrong set for me in the wrong size completely. Luckily, they had the set I wanted sitting there in the store, but if they hadn't, we would have had one disappointed little boy. Obviously things were straightened out in the end, but I will NEVER work with Roger and ONLY with Sharon if we take our business there again in the future. read more

We have had our new mattress for two weeks now and we are so pleased with the purchase! EVA DE DENGHY is a true asset to your organization. We bought a total sleep product MARCH 11th at the LAKELINE LOCATION, and we are extremely satisfied with it. The system was delivered the next day by very courteous and helping employees. They set-up the system and gave instruction on use. We are most comfortable with this sleep system and have had solid restful sleep on it. Eva De Denghy is truly a professional in her field. Factory Mattress is very responsive to customers, and they honor the ten-year warranty! We purchased a king pillow-top mattress set almost four years ago and it was too soft. We rolled toward the middle of it. I contacted the company online, and received a phone call from Jorge the same day. He told me they would swap out the mattress and box springs, and told me to ask for Sharon, the manager at the Gateway store. Sharon called me the next day and we made plans to meet her at the store the following afternoon. Sharon was kind and accommodating. We decided on a mattress set that was about $300 more than our current mattress. We paid the difference, and the next day received the new mattress and the delivery men took away the old one. We highly recommend shopping at this location. Mark truly cares about the customer and delivered amazing service. I do have to say that if someone is going to get a lemon, it's us... but that is a different story. We purchased a Tempur-pedic cloud lux mattress and a week later we felt something was not right about the mattress as it did not function like the one we tested. On one occasion I got up from the bed after sitting down, the bed mattress stayed sunken. We called Mark and he apologized and started the process in communicating with the Tempurpedic liaison to investigate the problem. Several days went by and no communication. I called the liaison myself and come to find out that person was no longer working in that area. I called Mark and he was thoroughly apologetic and said that he would have an answer for us by the end of the day. Mark called us back that afternoon after making many phone calls to include a call to the Vice President of Tempurpedic. The bed was replaced the next day without any red tape. This type of customer service is hard to find these days. His concern for us was very impressive and we truly appreciate what Mark has done for us.
