Came to June for the first time last week. It had been years since my last facial. Her studio was clean and she got be in quickly! My skin needed some help. I've been oily and breaking out... Not fun. I have to say that now, five days later my skin looks great!!! There is no scaring from extractions and my skin is clear. Extractions are not my favorite. They hurt!! I came in recently to get a extraction done and I came in looking pretty bad to begin with but as we did the extraction it honestly didn't hurt as bad as I thought maybe 2/10 pain but my acne and blackhead almost fully went away in 1 session! Stress, hormonal imbalance and wearing masks daily were mostly the reason why I broke out late last year. I tried changing my skin care products, changed my diet, and consulted my OBgyn. I knew I had to find a great aesthetician to help me with my concern. Yelp helped me stumble upon Facials by June. She had great reviews. I knew with all the covid restrictions, It's most likely that I won't get any appointment anytime soon. But I still took my chances and to my surprise, June emailed me back right away and accommodated me the following week. I was super excited! It felt like she was my last resort. On my first visit, she was very welcoming. The spa was very clean and organized. I was so embarrassed to show her my skin but she made me feel comfortable. When she started extracting, it definitely hurt like hell but hey! no pain no gain. She was very thorough. I don't think she missed a single blackhead. Other than that, the whole experience was awesome. She went above and beyond. From the LED light, the awesome masks, the products she uses, the arm and leg massages, I am truly in spa heaven! My skin felt raw after but squeaky clean. It didn't look greasy or felt like it. After my facial, she recommended I use Obagi nuderm system. Take note, she wasn't pushy for her products. She confidently knew this was going to save me from my horrible breakout. It's very reasonably priced. I truly believed in her recommendation and put my trust in her completely. Why wouldn't you, her skin is immaculate! I recommend that the next couple days after your facial, don't make plans to go out. But Let your skin heal. It took me a couple months of seeing June regularly and religiously and properly applying the Obagi products on my face to see a big difference. I don't even know where to begin!!!!! At first I was skeptical for facials but I knew I needed it. I need to clean my face and remove all my pores and pimples. I had mild acne, but lots of scarring. I always search on Yelp for the "best acne facials" and June pop up first and always. With this much reviews and 5 stars I couldn't resist. I texted June for the appt. She's super book! But I knew I needed it ASAP before a trip that I needed to go, I took a picture of my face to June and right away and she brought me in two days after even if she was book! I had the acne treatment so lots of extractions! Like I needed 20-30 extractions. Damn, that hurted like a b**** haha! But after that one hour of treatment, damn, I could already see the difference of my face, beware tho, it gets really red! And I had lots of scars afterward but that didn't stop me from loving June because she showed me obagi products to help me with my condition. After 1 week of my treatment the scarring was slowly fading the product I've used help my face chemically peels. Damn. I got the obagi nu derm to help me with my discoloration of my face and scars. I didn't want to write a review about this, but my experience was so uncomfortable that I felt the need to share. To preface, I have no issue with people having political views other than my own. However, I do not want to be fed political propaganda during a service I am paying for that is supposed to be relaxing and professional, and therefore apolitical. During my facial, June made very clear her political views and told me she voted for Trump. Again, the fact that she voted for Trump is not my issue, it's that she forced this conversation on to me during my facial, which I found to be completely unprofessional. She said many other things, including disparaging comments about houseless folks, which again, does not sit well with me. I genuinely don't understand why June's political views and her opinions on houseless people, amongst other things, would ever need to come up during a professional facial. Ultimately I felt so stressed during the facial due to the conversation we were having (although it was mostly her talking at me, it wasn't really a discussion), and felt that it just wasn't worth the money I'd paid to get it. I felt this way mid-facial and was just waiting for it to be over so I didn't have to have this conversation anymore. I found this place on Yelp. I really like the way she massage on my face and shoulder. The extraction to take out my blackheads was sooooo painful but it works. Had my first facial at Facials by June. Like spending an hour and a half with a good friend but coming home looking and feeling like a million bucks. She is well worth every penny. She cuts NO corners. I texted hoping to get an appointment within a few days but June was fully booked. What a happy surprise when she texted me back and managed to fit me in the very next day. I have had many a facial over the years but this was the best by far, more like a micro vacation. June was amazing! I didn't know what to expect when getting a facial as it was my first time. I got a deep cleansing and microdermabrasion. Not gonna lie, it was painful, but with all the cleansing, moisturizers, and mask at the end, it really helped ease the pain. It's very tolerable and YOU WONT REGRET IT! She said my skin was nice and not too bad so she suggested I see her quarterly. Also, who wouldn't trust a facial by someone who has NEVER broken out?! GREEN LIGHT GO !! I saw a groupon online for another place for a facial but the salon isn't giving out their "discounted" facials until January. My skin has been a mess lately so I wanted to get a facial. I read the YELP reviews and decided I would splurge to get my skin back on track. The groupon salon is regularly priced at $115 for facials. I guess it seems like you are getting a deal but I'd rather go to a salon that is reasonably priced so if I return again I already feel comfortable because I've been there before. Anyway, no ways I was going to pay $115! I checked out the yelp reviews and found Facials by June. BOY am I glad I did ! She charged $65 for a facial but included so many other services along with the facial. A lot of other salons charge way more and only provide the service you paid for but NOT JUNE! First off, I hope June reads this so I can apologize again for being late. I was a few minutes late because of traffic and called to let June know. She just said to drive safe and not to worry. When I got to her salon she instantaneously made me feel at ease even though I was rushing and a bit stressed out. She had me fill out a medical history form and had me changed into a robe. She then tucked me in a warm blanket. She started with a upper body massage. I really didn't expect this with a facial but I'm not complaining either! She was so gentle on my face and trimmed my eyebrows for free! I had my eyebrows waxed at Pearlridge and they ended up being lop sided but June fixed it up no problems! After she was done my skin felt amazing. My skin felt so velvety smooth and hydrated ! I also have a lot of blackheads and she got them all cleaned out. It was painless for me but I'm sure for others it might be a tad pinchy. My skin lately has also been irritated and red in some spots but since the facial they have been Red/irritation FREE! June has such a warm personality. You feel like you are walking into her home. I would recommend this place to ANYONE who wants a relaxing experience where you come out with a brightened, refresh face ! Parking is validated. June accepts credit cards as well! The acne treatment was suggested by June due to my black/white heads and some pimples. Although it hurt & looked swollen after the appointment (make sure your not doing anything else for the rest of the day) my skin has looked so much better afterwards. It's been a while since my skin has looked brighter, cleaner (from cleaned pores), and just soft to the touch! Without any more blackheads you need to upkeep yourself, give your skin a treat!! I've been going to June ever since my friend recommended her. I've been trying to find a good place for waxing, but found it was a lot harder than I had expected. Most well known places here are really expensive, but her prices are so much more reasonable. I went to June when she was at her McCully location, but now go to her new office on Kaheka (lots more parking). Parking is located behind the building with CVS pharmacy facing the street (not the one located at Longs on King street). Anyway, the results are always great and she pays attention to detail. This could obviously be an uncomfortable situation, but June is a lot of fun to talk to and she makes it very comfortable. Appointments fly by really fast. My teenage daughter & I received our first facial treatment EVER today! We both have a mix of oily/dry skin which causes black/whitehead breakouts mainly on our forehead & chin areas. Let me start off by saying that I'm very picky, and nervous about trying something new. Anything to do with my skin and hair is a result of lots of research, inquiries with friends/family, and review-reading on Yelp (which I know is not the end-all-be-all but what else can you do?!). I read what feels like hundreds of Yelp reviews before I decided to contact June for a facial. It must have been fate because when I told a coworker I was thinking about getting a facial, she recommended June! That gave me the confidence I needed to book my first appointment with June. I booked my appointment through texts, and she was quick, friendly, and responsive. She sent a reminder text the day before my appointment. Her appointments are done in a softly lit room with relaxing music playing in the background. I was so relaxed I could have fallen asleep but I tried to stay up so I could remember everything that was happening. Her facial felt very thorough. The extractions were a little sore (I was told by others they would be), but nothing unbearable. And the neck and shoulder massage - boy, June is strong! June was chatty and made me feel instantly comfortable, like I was talking to an old friend, but not overly so, and there were periods of quiet so I could just zone out and relax. After my first appointment, I became a monthly regular. June is like the big sister I never had! I look forward to my monthly facial! I have combo skin, and I definitely feel like my skin has become more even since going to June. I struggle with dry patches in some areas and an oily t-zone but the facials have helped a lot. Like another reviewer mentioned, I feel like each facial gets better and better - I don't know how that's possible, but I do feel like as she gets to know my skin, she's fine tuning what she does on me so that it works the best for my skin.
