After about a year and a half of playing phone tag with June, I finally requested that I have a Saturday off for some skincare TLC because I was starting to look and feel like crepe face and ain't nobody got time for that. To be honest, I've always been wary of facials or any type of treatments in regards to skincare because I've just never liked the idea of someone touching my face and possibly ruining it. However, June came highly recommended from my Mother-in-law who had actually purchased a gift card for me, so I thought that I'd give June a go and while I didn't have really any expectations, more fears, if anything, I can honestly say that I will be integrating June as a regular in my life. From the moment I met her, June was not only personable but also quite professional and knowledgeable. As she did her voodoo skincare magic, you could tell she not only knew what she was doing but really wanted to help her clients achieve the best possible skin that they could. She was even able to deduce right off the bat from meeting me what my skin type was (sensitive, combo/oily but leaning more towards the dry right now). The hour and a half that I spent with her neither felt long nor short, and with each treatment, I could feel my skin getting better. Although I will say that the extractions are no joke (much worse than a brazilian wax imo), but trust me when I say they are needed. By the end of my appointment, my skin not only felt but looked phenomenal and I couldn't help but feel so relaxed. Overall, if you're looking for a good facial from someone who not only knows a thing or two about skincare (trust me, when you meet June you'll know you're at the right place because her skin is the bomb.com), but is also a one woman show with the tips and tricks she does to rejuvenate your skin so that you're living your best skincare life, I would highly recommend making an appointment with June. He was having some problem skin so I surprised him with his first appt with June 2 weeks ago. The results were amazing! He was swollen and red immediately after the appt, which is normal considering she went to work with those extractions! But a few days later, oh my, baby smooth glowing skin.. I was so impressed with her services and professional and sweet conduct, I made an appt with her as soon as we got home! Before going to work on my bf's face, she laid me down on her couch and covered me up with a blanket and her own jacket to keep me warm while I waited and told me to rest as we had just gotten off night shift.. I starting getting bad cystic acne once I hit puberty, but my skin calmed down when I got into my later teens. I had pretty clear skin for a couple of years after it calmed down. Since the beginning of this year though, I've been traveling frequently, and college started up again. Out of the blue, my acne suddenly flared up worse than it has been in years, which has left behind uneven texture and indented scars in such a short amount of time. After visits to the dermatologist, with nothing improving- depressed, and desperate- I began searching on Yelp for something, anything, to help me with my acne. Like a blessing from Heaven, I came across June. I had never had a facial before, but seeing all of her reviews, I just knew I HAD to see her. She responded super quick, but unfortunately, she was all booked up for the month. I had a very busy schedule, so I was worried I would not be able to get an appointment. June let me know right away though when she had an opening a couple days later, which I jumped at. Let me just say, if you looked up "flawless skin" in the dictionary, you will see a picture of June under it. I was blown away with how perfect and glowing her skin is when I walked into her studio. She assessed my skin right away, and I (of course) had the acne facial. I honestly don't remember the beginning of the facial, as I was so busy talking with June. She's super sweet, and makes you feel comfortable the whole time. Not going to lie, the extractions HURT like nothing else, but it is so worth it. After the extractions were done, she placed a mask on me to help soothe my skin. Even though my face looked like it got run over by a cactus right after, my skin felt incredibly clean, which felt like the first time in forever. A few days later, POOF, NO ACNE. I still have acne scars and hyperpigmentation left, but my active acne vanished significantly. I was amazed. Wanted to try a facial so I went on yelp to look at reviews. Top business was this one and I was sold. I texted her and we set up an appt after I had rescheduled a couple of times, she was accepting which was nice. I decided to go with the acne treatment as I had some leftover cystic acne my current topical medication from a dermatologist didn't get rid of. I knew there would be picking/extractions involved but I can handle pain on my face and my skin isn't too sensitive. I like that it's in a location I frequent and close by. I went in and was greeted by June and she was so nice. I just had to fill out a short questionnaire and we got right to it. Rooms look clean and nice and had some calming music. She was friendly and we chatted for a bit which was nice. The extractions do cause pain and discomfort but It doesn't last long so you'll be fine. I had some deep acnes so it took longer in one spot to get everything out. After that, she puts this thick cooling mask all over the face for about 15 min and it felt really good! After the whole thing, I saw my face and it really wasn't that bad like I said my skin isn't sensitive and I didn't see a lot of redness. She said she thinks I will heal good and I think so too just by the look of it. June has flawless skin so I think I can trust her. She knows what she doing. I have never gotten a facial before, but after quite a bit of traveling and unknowingly using products that were probably doing more harm than good, I knew it was finally time to find someone who could help save my skin (like literally bring back to life). My skin normally behaves, it would break out here and there during that time of the month, but lately I had been breaking out more than usual and my face was left with bumps and scars. After some research, I replaced my entire skin care routine with only products that were free of parabens, synthetic dyes, mineral oil, etc. and yet, my skin was still crying for help. I am soooo thankful to have found June. I came in not knowing what to expect, as this was my first facial experience ever. I have horrible acne that resides all over my entire face and so of course, the acne facial is what we went with. Whoever made up the saying "beauty is pain" must have had extractions because they are extremely painful to say the least, so be prepared (if the acne facial is what you had in mind). HOWEVER, immediately after the facial I could already see results. I used to have bumps and texture all over, but with the extractions my skin is so smooth. I've been going to June for facials for a few months now, every other month. Her facial price is $80 - very reasonable compared to the typical hotel spas. Her cute studio is located in the Kaheka Professionals Building with a parking lot available. She validates so the parking is free. The experience itself keeps getting better and better. June does a thorough job cleansing the face, taking out all of the blackheads, incorporates a head/neck/shoulder massage, and ends with a relaxing mask. My face has felt better than ever before since I've been going to her. Every appointment, I get a little something extra added on. The first time she cleaned my wedding rings for me, the next time she gave me a deeper massage, and this past time, she got rid of my "mustache" which was a nice surprise. I've been wanting to inquire about it, but just never got to it yet, and for my first experience of getting rid of it, it was quite pleasant, and did not hurt at all! She sells the products she uses on your face. So far I've purchased the toner, moisturizer, and 50 SPF. I love June. She's very personable and easy to talk to. She makes you feel really comfortable. A truly custom made facial to fit your needs! June is an awesome esthetician, super honest and helpful. She took charge in a motherly way (she's young but has that feel) and right away I felt like we were friends :) Located in the Kaheka Professional Bldg, the elevator is in the corridor between Longs and a Korean book & video store. There was another elevator if you went to the corridor to the right of that as well. No comment on parking since I got dropped off. I went for a deep cleansing facial and boy was it a deep cleansing! I am an esthetician and have gone to many places for facials. June is one of the few I know that does serious extractions. (Which is what I was going for!) Her skin analysis and tips were really helpful. I love how she customizes the facial and is not at all stuck to her menu. Microdermabrasion where I need it, oxygen therapy, high frequency... Whatever my skin needed, she did. I do recommend her to those serious about skin care. I don't recommend going expecting a spa sort of ambience. The place is bright with lights and more of a homey yet medical-ish setting. However, it was very relaxing and once she starts massaging, you don't care about anything! She's small but she is STRONG. Also, don't expect a European facial; just go with an open mind. I love to go to different places but when I need an excellent, result oriented facial, she will be my first choice as her prices are ridiculously affordable. $65 for her facial?! For Valentine's Day back in 2013, my awesome boyfriend got me a gift card to Facials by June fully loaded with enough money to do 2 Deep Cleansing Facials (either 2 times for myself or I could take a friend). .......I am TERRIBLE at using gift cards! Fast forward to late 2015, I finally made the appointments and visited June. Facials by June is run by the one and only super personable June. Sessions are appointments only, and through texting only. Services range from facials, massages, waxing, eyelash extensions, and even semi-permanent makeup! My boyfriend ended up being my lucky +1, and I was able to snag the next back to back facial appointments that were 2.5 weeks later. Parking is located in the lot behind Kaheka Professional Center with the entrance on Liona Street. Bring dollar bills to feed the lot meter (~$3). June's studio is located on the second floor accessible by the elevator in the building. Once out of the elevator, walk straight, her door should be the second one on the left. This was the first facial I've ever gotten, and I honestly did not know what to expect. What I did get was a SOOTHING hour of RELAXATION. I could feel the tension ease as June worked her magic on my face. The Deep Cleansing Facial also included extractions of black and white heads. This may cause your skin to look a little irritated for the next day, but you can definitely see the positive results after that. My skin has never felt so smooth and my pores were much smaller! What I loved about Facials by June was... June! She was so professional yet so kind and likable. June actually offered to let me watch the whole process when it was my boyfriend's turn for his facial. So of course I said YES! Got my very first facial (microdermabrasion/deep cleaning) from June and it was a great experience. The microdermabrasion didn't hurt at all and my skin now feels very soft. The deep cleaning included extracting the milia growths on my face and I am very pleased with the results. June is very thorough and got every last one. Full disclosure - it's not a painless procedure, but that was to be expected. But it was very bearable and totally worth having smooth skin again. Your face will look blotchy and kinda scary after extractions (and it WILL hurt) but I just needed someone to professionally remove my blackheads and whiteheads. I've been to many estheticians and was looking for one who will: -thoroughly de-knot the tension in my shoulders and decollete area; -firmly massage my face; -massage my arms and hands while the masque is on; -efficiently extract my blackheads and whiteheads without leaving a scar; -genuinely care about my skin; and -charge a reasonable price (get the $75 deep cleansing facial, it's the best value!). I found June. I have been going to her on a monthly basis since January 2014 and often have referred my friends to her. She is friendly and has your skin's health as a top priority! It's true what other yelpers say about her professionalism and strong hands. You can make the appointment via text and she will text you an appointment reminder. I've always wanted to try Obaji and bought the full line at her salon after my first visit. My face has really improved and I treat myself every month with the deep-cleansing facial. Once you have this great experience, you will want to make it treat every month like my sister and me! June is the absolute BEST and sweetest! I've been going to her on and off for the past few years. I have always gotten the acne facial, and I keep going back! I have had bumps and acne (white heads and blackheads) since being a teenager, but after going to here they're gone! Of course it takes a couple of days before the results show but totally worth it! During the extractions I always think to myself 'why do I keep doing this to myself?!' its truly PAINFUL. And I look like I've been stung by 50 bees lol, kinda swollen and beat-up. BUT I will continue to go to her!! My skin always looks amazing, and a few days later I'm back to normal but better. Last week I saw June for a facial. I booked the appointment via text, which is pretty cool and clever at the same time. The location was easy to find with parking and she validates. June is friendly and knowledgeable, it's what I'd expected in an esthetician. What I didn't expect was that she is strong (excellent surprise massage) and warm; she made me feel comfortable, like we've known each other for years kind of comfortable. I play in the sun a lot and I'm over 40, so my skin definitely needs some extra love. I got the Hydra Whitening Oxygen Treatment, which refreshes, repairs and protects my skin. I got eyebrow tattoos and lash extensions from Jenny, who works in June's salon....and I couldn't be happier! I have 3 young kids and NO time in the morning for any make-up, so I'd been wanting eyebrow tattoos for so long...finally took the leap, despite my fears of looking like Groucho Marks or it hurting too bad. Neither was the case. Jenny is so super gentle, she talks you through the whole process, she listens to what you want and really HEARS you out. She puts numbing cream all throughout, so there was no pain. Seriously, it felt like she was just tickling the hairs on my brow--I didn't even realize when she actually started. I LOVE the shape and color of my brows. And she's REALLY good at the lash extensions. She just is. It's just the right length and curl. Not too long--very natural. Now I can surf, swim, workout, and not have to worry about coming out brow-less! :) :) I already have the eyeliner from back in the 90's...boy has technology changed. The pigments are better and the tools are much better. The only thing that is a drag about the eyebrows is that they are super duper dark the first week, until they form scabs and fall off. Then they are like 50% lighter. In the mean time, you have to wear a cap and sunglasses. At least I did. ;) read more

In the past I saw the same esthetician in the Bay Area who worked collaboratively with a dermatologist for around a decade, then moved to Arizona and went to different estheticians for facials. Coming to Hawaii, I was looking for the same quality and professionalism as my experience with my decade long esthetician in the Bay. In truth, I found other estheticians who I liked as well in Hawaii, but either they retired from the profession or their availability did not fit my schedule. I found June through Yelp reviews and took a chance. Selfishly, I am a little worried about raving about June for all Yelpers to hear (maybe she will become too busy, maybe I won't be able to get the appointment date/time I want anymore...etc.) ...but hey, Yelp is what helped me find her and it is my time to give back to our community. June is probably one of the best estheticians I know. She is extremely honest, when you ask her she will tell you what products she recommends, what products not to waste your time & money on, etc., just like a big sister would tell you straight. When I first met her, she encouraged me to use all the products I already had, she didn't want me to waste money. I was also surprised with my first facial by her, usually I settle in and just snooze away...not with June! June politely encouraged me to relax and snooze away while getting a facial, but I found myself chatting away, discussing multiple different topics with her. I found her opinion refreshing! I had found Facials by June on Yelp for a birthday present for my sister...my sister raved about her experience so I got paid back by my sister with a facial for my birthday...I am hooked for life...I have had a few facials in life and I can honestly say, this was the BEST! June is petite but her hands are heavyweights. Woman has mad skills! I couldn't believe she massaged my upper back, neck, & arms...she even waxed my shadow of a mustache and trimmed my unruly eyebrows for free...I think she couldn't stand seeing the hair while completing the facial...ha! ha! What you get is a quality facial from an experienced beauty professional...cute and clean room in the office room she is located in...soothing music...I think I fell asleep a couple times...my snoring woke me...you won't be disappointed! read more

I did the deep cleansing and my skin is glowing after the treatment. She is professional and honest, I like her, will return as a regular.

June is AMAZING. She does it all, and does it well. I've been to too many places "claiming" that they do facials. Yes, they may help exfoliate your skin, add whitening serum and make your skin glow afterwards... but without actually extractions, in my opinion, that's not a facial -- that's just cleaning your face with a nice massage to go along with. Well done June! Be aware though, she does book out probably weeks at a time so if you know you need a facial before a big gala or event, plan your appointment soon! read more
