Terrible Customer Service I needed to update my reading…read moreglasses and brought in a brand new pair of glasses. These glasses were new and were looked at before I left them, I received a call a week later that there was an issue and another call ten minutes later that they had broken them. According to them, the issue was mine since the frame was flimsy. When I complained I was told they were not responsible for frames brought into vision center, something they did not say initially. Now I am forced to bring another pair (why so they can break them) or now pair more for one of their glasses. I am really shocked and hurt by the lack of accountability. I will not be returning to this establishment. They do not deserve any stars!

I was advised via phone that he would be in as long as I got there before 4pm. We got there before 3pm and he had already left for the day. We had travelled a distance. There were 2 customer service reps sitting in the front who didn't greet us. We spoke to the female sitting at the front desk who had a very nasty attitude. We had to ask for help. It was very clear from her demeanor that she didn't want to...so I requested that someone else help us. She refused to have someone else assist us. I asked to speak with the manager...she also refused.I also asked her why her attitude was so nasty/negative/sour. She immediately went off. Her voice was raised and she became extremely disrespectful. I walked over to the opposite side of the store to take a picture of the glasses I liked for myself. Her voice grew louder and she tried to reach over the counter to take my phone. She immediately made it clear that she was going to "kill me/beat my ass bitch" if I had taken a pic of her! I thought I was in the twilight zone at that point! Who behaves like that???? I kept looking at this woman and responding enough to let her know that (1) no pic of her was taken and (2) I wasn't going to tolerate that level of unprofessionalism/disrespect. Her behavior was so disgusting and ghetto. How could anyone this nasty be hired to assist the public?She proceeded to call security to ask them to take my phone. At that point a crowd was gathering outside. Security advised her that it's my property to do what I will. More importantly...it's also against the law. As we were proceeding out of the store...the same young lady walked out behind us and loudly on top of her voice...she said "you betta get out of here bitch before I beat your ass"!!! At that point a crowd had gathered and one spectator was kind enough to offer their recording of the entire incident. I accepted her offer and she sent me the recording immediately. We were also given her name. I took that and filed a criminal complaint. I spoke to the owner Boris today who apologized...and enquired as to what I'd like done. She needs to be relieved of her duties. She also wasn't wearing a mask. He didn't offer much in terms of a resolution though and seemed to be more defensive of his employees actions. I advised him to look at the tapes if he has a security camera. He made it clear that he will...but there's no audio. You have a business with a security camera that has no audio...really? So how do you assess the interaction between your employees and customers? That's either a lie or a serious mistake. That person cannot be the face or experience of your business! None of the customer service reps did the right thing. One took her phone out to contact the manager after she came in from lunch...but declined to do so after her coworker asked her not to. That was neither smart or mature. Business 101...the people you employ shouldn't be a detriment/deterrent to your business. That's called career suicide!!! The owner of this business not only lost out on 6 pairs of glasses...but all future referrals from a healthcare system. Our trip to get prescription lens turned into abuse/aggravated assault and harassment from the very people who should've been helping us. Btw...forgot to mention that the same employee made it clear that she has an "uncle" in law enforcement. Don't we all? No one is above the law. It's in place to protect everyone. Lawsuits are no joke and sometimes a wake up call is needed to remind people that this type of behavior is not ok. We are living in a world where threats to kill are no longer tolerated. There's a wrong way and a right way to handle situations...regardless of how you feel. Never in my life have I experienced anything so senseless and unprofessional. It was truly disturbing and uncalled for. I have also reached out to their headquarters to ensure that nothing like this ever happens to anyone else. I'm waiting for a response from them...but in the meantime I plan on moving forward to ensure that this situation is addressed in a swift/professional manner. Joe is truly amazing and the reason I still keep coming here and I always refer friends and relatives. First, their prices are exceptional, for example, you buy one frame and lens and you'll get a second frame and lens for free, which you can use for home or as a sunglass (just need to pay for the darkening of the lens, which is about $30). The doctor here truly knows his stuff as he has tons of experience. His exams are very quick and you would think, did he check everything right? But trust me, when you wear your updated glasses, you will see that they are absolutely perfect. He even told me the first time I had my exam there, the bifocal/progressive lens is really not needed for my eyes and is just a waste of money. The previous place I went to, they said I needed them, in addition, my prescription barely changed and really didn't need to spend so much money on new lens along with bifocal/progressive lens (and he was right!). Imagine that, a business that says, you don't need to spend more money! Joe is a true model of what outstanding customer service is, and Chris who is a younger guy, I'm assuming was trained by Joe, so he is also outstanding. From the initial steps in searching for a frame to picking up your new eye wear is nothing short of exceptional, they don't pressure you into buying anything at all. They are truly in the best interest of their customers, especially in finding a frame that fits and looks great on you.
