I came in for a refill on a 5 week old set that Lan originally did and no chips the whole time! She did an amazing job again with a new design. Lan is super detailed, creative, and always makes sure I'm comfortable. A few weeks before, I got a pedicure from Johnny, and it was incredible. His massage skills are the best. WARNING TO ALL INTROVERTS this will not be your place If you're like me and like to relax and possibly even have your eyes closed during a service this isn't the vibe. The people are totally lovely and friendly but it has made my two experiences here really odd. The first technician (a blonde woman) didn't pick up my cues the entire time (had my eyes closed after a long week of work and wanted to just zen out) and she kept trying to talk to me and even in the last MINUTE of the service while taking a look asking me what I majored in. Then the pedicure peeled off after about a week so I went in to get the big toe fixed. It was an all in the family vibe with everyone trying to talk to me . My tech even paused our service to hold and bounce a baby- and then without asking- tried to GIVE ME THE BABY. I don't want to hold a strangers baby, sorry. I think this is a fun place for the regulars and if you want to chit chat but I personally won't be returning, just looking for a different environment ! read more

So Lan turned out to be a bit too much like a used car salesman. She nickles and dimes people to the extreme. I've seen it a few times, and they surprise you at the end, they're not transparant throughout the process. Oval shape? Cost. A particular nail color? Careful, there may be a 15.00 fee for that one. They say nothing through the entire process, and then a 40-50.00 nail job is pronounced to be $110.00 (in my case). WTH? I had no art, no special requests, nothing. They bury you in these fees. But if you dare to question her, you're labled a troublemaker, and treated as such. Too bad, since they did nice nails and seemed nice up front. But in the end, I didn't like their dishonesty. My original review was written just moments before suffering from 'sticker shock' when the cost of my nails doubled and I had no idea why. Transparancy is critical in any good business. read more

I asked for long French tip nails when I tried to correct her on the length I wanted she continued to cut them this length. She kept going and when filing them down she cut my finger. When it came to the nail polish they did not put a base coat and painted over the blood from my finger when I tried telling them how I wanted my nails they just rushed through the whole process. Their customer service is amazing but when it comes to getting something you asked for and getting a complete different thing is very disappointing. read more

i got my nails done here for $55 and it was the worst i have ever seen my nails. they were all different lengths, not the color i asked for, way too much color in the cuticles, and NO BASE COAT! i can't believe how long it took only for them to look horrible. the lady doing my nails got up at least 5 times to get candy, gum, and drinks! she didn't let my nails cure enough and she never cut my cuticles. she was way too rough with the drill i was in so much pain. i told her that one of the nails was a bit too pointy at the top and she sighted and shortened it way too much. i showed her a reference photo and she didn't do anything the same. never go to this place it is absolutely horrible. save your money! read more

I'm always happy with my nails after having an appointment at Fabulous Nails. As for the present Covid Virus and taking precautions, Lynna, the owner, leaves nothing to chance. The chairs are distanced 6 feet and also disinfected after each use. She has plastic partitions between herself and the client for manicures. Masks and gloves are worn by all the girls. Lynna keeps a log, which she has you sign, so it's easy to see who has been here and when, just in case of someone being infected. I don't know of any Nail Salon that takes those precautions. I went here on Tuesday for a pedi & gel fill while on vacation. My pédicure was great and looks fab. The girl really took her time and my nail art is super cute. In contrast, the woman who did my gel was sub par. They use a premixed gel that burns when put under the light to dry. Also, she did the fill and then finished another customer while I got my pedicure. This gave me time to look at my nails and see than 4 of them were lifting. I told her. What she SHOULD have done was re-grind the sides and then re-gel. Instead she covered my fingers in super glue and hid the lifts with no chip. The lifts all started to show again and broke so that when I arrived home today I had to go see my usual girl to have an entirely new set done. For a regular mani/pedi, this place would be fine... but they are clearly inexperienced in fake nails. read more

Used to be my favorite place in SLC for a pedicure. My most recent experience was abhorrent. Upon arrival, no one attended to us. I had to wait 20 min for someone to do my pedicure while my friend was having hers-with the place empty. The sign outside said $25 for a pedicure; they would not honor this price and insisted it was $27 and then took the sign down. We were the only two customers, and then an older woman arrived. The staff dropped everything to attend to her and "brown nose" her. We were made to feel like an inconvenience. We were ready to take the foam flip flops and just leave. While paying, the employee questioned our coupon's authenticity and then did not apply the proper discount. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. read more

I was in the neighborhood this last weekend and was in dire need of a pedicure. The shop is small and was very full on this lovely Saturday but they got me into a chair right away. It was a little chaotic with technicians hopping from one person's nails to someone else's feet. Despite all the running around, I felt like once it was my turn, I was very well taken care of by my technician. The foot/leg massage was great and I appreciated seeing the foot baths cleaned after every use even though they had what seemed like a disposable tub liner for each client. I decided to try this place since it was close to my house and a friend recommended it. On a Saturday it can be pretty hectic. They try to get everyone seated and move from person to person to try to rotate through getting everyone done. The plus here is that they are very clean. They use tub liners, clean the basins and the equipment comes out in sealed packaging. The downside is that they don't paint your toes quite as well as my regular place, but I will take clean over perfect paint. They are also very very nice. :) read more
