My 4 year old daughter and I went in for manicures and they did such a great job with my dipped nails with a tip to add length and my daughters pink polish. She was a little shy at first but they were patient and made it fun by offering to do polkadots. She loved it! Crystal did my nails and they are perfect! It's best to call in ahead of time for an appointment, even if it's the same day. You're not likely to just walk in and get an appointment. They're always busy. And busy for a good reason. These ladies are really good!!!!! They're a small team of about 4 and it doesn't matter which lady you get, they're all great. Good luck. read more

Update: My nails started to dry out about a week later. Then one nail had all the paint fall off. I'm not sure what happened and the friends I went with didn't have the problem, but their nails were drier than I would expect. The one thing I'm really upset about is that my nails are now thin and cracked. I did the powder polish, but it made my nails the same as acrylics would, which is what I was trying to avoid. Had a great experience here tonight! Amazing service. We set an appointment for 6 PM and we sat right down. Within minutes we had people working us. All 3 of us got pedicures and powder manicures in just over an hour. And a fabulous job! They were friendly and helpful and patient as we chose colors. I felt comfortable there and will return. Not long after we got there, some older teens left and a few of the workers said goodbye, using their names. When we left, everyone that worked with us (6 people!!) smiled and said a pleasant goodbye. I really appreciated the atmosphere and service. And I can't stop staring at my sparkly nails. Honestly can't even give this place one star. I came here out of convenience and it was not worth it in the least. I got a basic manicure--a polish change. It's hands down the worst service I've ever had in 29 years. The man argued with me about what service I wanted and then argued with me about what color. He then handed my service off to a woman who I asked repeatedly not to file my nails down anymore. As she applied polish I told her it was too thick and it would not dry...she ignored me and sent me out anyway. read more

I love this place! They have the SNS "dipping" powder for nails, and a lot of places in Utah have never even heard of it before. anyway, this place is super clean. For nails, they give you your own new set for filing and buffing and keep it in a personal care box with your name on it to use for the next visit! For pedicures, they put in a new liner for the tub, so it's very sanitary! All of the workers are so friendly and nice and the prices are good too! read more

I randomly stumbled upon this place one day after work and was so impressed by the quality that I'll never go anywhere else as long as I live in Salt Lake. I started with the hot stone pedicure, which was heavenly. The pedi spas were clean (they use liners which is really nice), the leg massage superb, and the stones were heated to perfection. I didn't get anything fancy, but I was impressed with the quality! I also got their dipping powder manicure, and let me just say, it lasts for so long! I've had this manicure for about 3 weeks now with no chips. If my nails hadn't grown out, you wouldn't be able to tell I'd had it for so long. This is the acrylic nails for people who don't like acrylic nails. I type all day as part of my job, so the fact that this manicure has held up this long is incredible. The only downside is that since they try to accommodate everyone who walks in, the service can sometimes be a little slow. Making an appointment doesn't guarantee that the service will be quick. I recommend not going right after work if you don't want to wait. However, this is by far my favorite nail salon, they have affordable prices, and excellent service. read more

This is my favorite place to get my nails done. I usually go to Michael who knows exactly how I like my nails to be done. I called earlier today to get an appointment with him and they told me "we will see" which is fine but I called in advanced to have him help me. But I ended up getting a new girl... and can I say this is the worst my nails have ever looked. She cut me three times, she also made of the pointer finger nails uneven. This salon is always been my go to place. And I am so upset with my nails today. The thickness of my nails are absolutely disgusting. I wanna give whoever did my nails a -100000. This place seems to be fairly clean, they use liners in the pedi spas, which is always a huge plus in my book. I'm not one hundred percent convinced how clean the tools were, as they didn't pull them from sealed packages. The massage chairs are pretty decent, and the quality of the polish job is okay. They always use a dremmel to remove the shine from your nail, which is not s great thing if you get regular pedicures or manicures. It's not my favorite nail salon, but I've been her twice and I'm sure I will be back since it is reasonably priced and in a great location. read more

Very welcoming staff as soon as I walked in. I just moved here from Illinois so it was nice to see friendly and inviting faces. I didn't have to wait, they got right to work on my pedicure. I enjoyed every minute (the foot massage was just what I needed after driving 20+hours to get here). I enjoyed having the option to watch tv on top of the regular reading of magazines and playing on my phone. I love the idea of spa liners in the pedicure tubs and prices were very reasonable. Although this didn't pertain directly to me, the owner and another customer (getting a pedicure) engaged in personal conversation; asking about one's new baby and new job location). This made me feel that they cared personally about those that step foot in their door. Only reason for 4 stars is because I feel no place is perfect, everyone has room for improvement. They also do not do the nail art anymore that I had seen on their website, which I had planned to get done next time. I don't think spending my time at this salon was very necessary I would've rather gone to any other salon. What my experience was that I was there with my little sister and my sister has anxiety and so she tends to bite her nails and they're really short but I was getting her acrylics to be nice. But as we got there the nail technicians were laughing at my sister for having short nails and that is so disrespectful and rude and it's not my sister's fault but she has anxiety and that's what she does to control her self but I would definitely not recommend going here because they are just rude and disrespectful and unprofessional and my sister's nails were horrible super messy I ended up not getting my nails done but do not go here you will definitely regret it and I have gone there a couple of other times and every single time I've gone they've made me bleed because they cut my skin and I just have a horrible experience there read more

This has gone SO downhill. it's so sad as it used to be great! The workers here have just gotten sloppy. They rush through the treatments and don't give a procedure that's worthwhile. Especially the owner, Mary. She is too busy running around that if you get her for a technician, your basically screwed. She forgets to do half of the treatment, paints sloppy and you have to tell her that she completely missed one foot for several steps. Like really????!?!! it's annoying as they have gotten even more expensive as well. AND ON TOP OF THAT. They always try to overcharge you. Multiple occasions I have caught them doing this. So dishonest!! I wonder how many people they are scamming money for. It's so sad. And incredibly frustrating to feel a victim to fraud. Just overall a horrible experience here now- i've given multiple tries again hoping they will be as good as they use to, but i'm continually extremely disappointed. My last appointment there will be the last ever at this place. It's was horrid. Don't go here unless your looking to have one foot fully treated, a wack paint job and be victim to overpay by a lot. read more

I love coming here. They are nice, quick with nails, and do a stellar quality job. I've tried other spots, but come here for their consistent good job. The powder shellac stays on for 3 weeks or more. I get them redone because of wanting a color change and the growth versus the nails looking bad. read more

Go somewhere else. I walked in, they sat me down to start my manicure and I had to ask they change the USED paper towel where I was seated. The floors were filled with dirty towels. Honestly I should have left but I stayed anyway. Then they pushed back my cuticles without soaking or cuticle softener and it did not feel good. Poor experience overall. This place doesn't even deserve one star. That was the absolute WORST manicure I have ever had in my life!!! I got a dip manicure for the first time and had high hopes based off my friends suggestion to go here. It started out well until the nail file drill came out. The lady was filing so hard and fast my nail felt like it was burning. The whole time she was filing she kept hitting the skin all around my nail (yes I know that just happens and a few times was fine). The amount of times I moved my hand from her nicking me was ridiculous! Needless to say I walked out of there with cuts on 4/10 fingers and still paid $38. Making appointments here doesn't do much. I waited 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment and so my services weren't even done by the time they wanted to close. I have been here several times before and each time I have found them to be so rushed that they do a poor quality job. My nail was rubbed so hard by a nail file with how fast they were going that it started bleeding and it happened two more times after that. My nails now feel rough after my powder manicure and I wish I just did regular polish cause it doesn't look great and now I'll have to go somewhere to soak it off. I was not impressed and won't be back. They need to slow down and provide better services. read more

I don't get manicures and/or pedicures often, so when I get them I want them to be perfect, since I usually need them done before a special occasion such as a party or going on vacation. I've been a couple times to nail salons inside the malls in the SL area, as well as to professional manicurists who work from their salons at home. I can tell you that from all the places I've been to, Top Nails & Spa in Holladay is the place where I've received the best regular and gel polish. The polish from my pedicures last a long time before chipping, at least a month if not more. Same with the gel manicures. And on top of that, they look perfect and smooth, most of the time. I say most of the time because this last time I went in (in fact, last weekend), the pedicure I got was ok (remember, I'm very picky). I think the girl was new because I hadn't seen her working there before. So that's the reason why I deducted one star from my review. But that won't stop me of going there. They're still the best place to get a mani/pedi done, even though they're pricier than the salons in the malls. Oh, and if you need to get your eyebrows waxed, they do that very well too. The salon in general is very clean too. Just be aware there might be a waiting time if you walk in. I still try to figure out the times when they're not busy ;) read more

We love Top Nails in Holladay. My daughter and I go in for Mani/Pedi's regularly. She's a kid (7) and they always treat her so well.
